My favourite channel just get better and better, nice to see a youtuber focus on the course, the area, the people rather than being about themselves, very refreshing, this channel should have so many more subscribers
Another great video. I love the way you showcase the golf course as well as the history associated with it. It's also great that you show the local cuisine and what the area is known for and has to offer. My favorite golf vlog. It's always the first one I watch.
Played at Forfar this week for the first time - really enjoyed it. Lots of options for courses to play in this area so TBH a video like this helped make my decision. Great work
Brilliant as ever Andy !! You need to keep these going , throwing in a bit of local stuff too is a great idea !! It’s a course I’ve never played , and really forgot about it ,and I live not that far away , you’ve certainly showcased it in a way that had sold it to me 👍
The Average Golfer Cant wait for the other 12 , I’ll be honest Andy ,I’m subscribed to a few golf you tubers , and yours is by far the best !! So well done on your chosen vision !!👌
Looks like your golf game was in good shape throughout your Scottish odyssey Andy....and largely you had wonderful weather too. I've enjoyed enormously each of your films. Keep 'em coming buddy!
It's just a joy to watch Andy. Such great camerawork really brings these courses to life. Loving the information too. However, I had one wee problem with this video and that was I was chewing along with you as you ate the bridies.😋
What you did not mention was that Sandy Saddler (your bridie baker) was our Walker Cup Captain in 1977 at Shinnecock. Two from one golf club is quite an achievement. Sandy is still playing golf and is looking forward to being at the next match at St. Andrews in September 2023.
My son is getting married in Scotland next year and after watching your vids I am going to need a month beforehand to play all the courses I have seen.
Great representative vlog of a truly wonderful course plus a nice interview with Stuart who as detailed had a fantastic amateur golfing career. I wish Stuart all the best in leading the GB&I team next year over in the States and I look forward to getting to play Forfar Golf Club as a member, hopefully we will keep getting great weather like you experienced that day. In my opinion the Forfar course is a great challenge for all handicaps and the grounds men have done a fantastic job in keeping it in such good condition. Thank you for the vlog, sounds like you really enjoyed getting to play there.
@@TheAverageGolfer thank you. I hope that you enjoyed your round that much that you would like to play the course again some day. I'm looking forward to getting out onto the undulating fairways very soon
Forfar looked in very good nick and based on your putting (very good) I’m guessing the greens were good too. Wifey got very interested as soon as Malmaison featured (our favourite chain). I’ll have to pick your brains re a road trip - the wife deserves a break (as long as we stay at Malmaison - the golf a given). The bridie another attraction! Great series Andy
Scotland The Home of Golf I went carnoustie 2 weeks ago stayed in Arbroath played the 3 carnoustie courses then visited St. Andrews and Glen eagles for some ball markers, you should be proud the heritage and prestigious courses you have is unbelievable plus there steeped in history and the vlogs Andy does are special couldn't ask for an honest Guy who draws you into the vlogs you watch and if am honest I want to be there after every vlog I know what courses I'll be visiting next year 🏌️⛳️👍
I’m not sure what you’re eating, but right now I’m envious of your game. I would be ecstatic with the number of pars you have scored while playing a new (to you) course.
Pitty you didn't get to play off white medal tee on the 1st,with the pro shop and starters office in front of you, quite daunting, and all the members watching from the bar,, hope you enjoyed it,, Forfar birdies are usually shortcrust pastry.
They were playing a members comp earlier in the day from the whites and I did think how daunting that would be, but to be honest we should have panned around because the whole patio area was on its feet to watch that tee shot which was bad enough!
@@TheAverageGolfer I've played their open comp, when I booked in at the starter his office was littered with golf ball dents, I still had to play, lol, put my tee shot in Fairway bunker right.
Beautiful once again although the video colour looked a little "washed out"...although knowing Scotland as I do that was probably a very accurate representation of a slightly grey day!
I,m happy to see you finally get that elusive birdie, but I believe you were robbed earlier by the COVID flag. Coming from Australia I have no idea what a bridie is, but they look tasty. Great interview with Stuart too.
Sooooo beautiful. I have a strong feeling Pete Dye got some of his course fairway designs from this monstrosity of fairway setup. Those wop-di-do's are simply mad. If you miss the ball on the wrong side, forget about having reasonable stance....good Lord.
@@TheAverageGolfer Looks like you got your travel and video work completed just in time. Gutted to find out this morning that pubs and cafes are again closed or severely restricted. 😫 I hope the working folk are managing to get by.
This is ridiculous. He already makes the very best golf video's on RUclips, and now he is tormenting us with food and pastry samplings from the area's as well???

Thanks! Always feel like the first objective is to showcase the course, so I am happy with those comments
Enjoyed this again Andy 👌. Lovely stuff and great production. Keep up the fantastic work 👏
What a great looking course Andy have to go there one day super vlog
Nice to see a focus on Forfar, this film showed the rolling fairways as I have never seen captured before. Love the new taste challenge!
Glad we did it justice
the undulations in the fairways were where they used to dry the flax used for weaving.
Absolutely perfect. Great course and golf being played as it should be.
Stay safe and well
Thanks

Its been great to be able to include these additional elements, fun to make so glad you think it works

Another great vid, always enjoy Forfar. Stewart Wilson is a legend around these parts.
One heck of a career
Great video again Andy. And glad you enjoyed your final night in my home town Dundee. The perfect base for Carnoustie country & St Andrews.
HAd a great night would have liked a better day on the Sunday to have a proper look around
More great content Andy and the camera work by Mrs Andy is excellent
Thanks from both of us

The rolling fairways of Fofar G C. Some fantastic holes on there and a well deserved birdie. Good review of the local delicacy too 😂
Thanks for the continued kind feedback
Another great video Andy already looking forward to the next one
This course looks absolutely stunning, it’s now on my ‘must play’ list. Great work Andy 👍🏼
Lovely course Jon
Love the format of you're current vlogs, Andy. The bridies looked quite appetizing, also.
Cracking looking Course and video and ending.

I was booked in to play at Forfar GC about 5-6 years ago. but we got rained in a gale. Damn, looks like I missed out on a Gem!

Scotland golf must be loving this! Every one has been brilliant! 👍

Ugggh...Not sure what I want to experience more. The Bridie's or the golf... Both looked delightful...
Hahaha agreed! Delightful!
Damn you Scotland you have the best courses in the 🌎 I could live there, the courses are unbelievable your blessed ⛳️🏌️👌

Another class video Andy
Thanks Rob
You have me dreaming of going on a road trip down your way !
Hope you make the trip one day!
We have our own "Scotland" island in Australia..its called Tasmania..
Same weather as well
Great stuff. Is that it, or are there more to come from this series?
12 more to follow Colin!

Love the films and chats but the music is painful- sounds as if the tape has been stretched!
Well at least you enjoyed some of it! It is a challenge to pick music that 10,000 people all like for each video
Great looking course, love the 1970’s porn film music.😂😂
Perfect soundtrack 😂
Sure the missus wasn't referring to you as 'flaky' Andy.
I hadn't considered that Rob but now you mention.....
Another great video, each of these courses makes many modern courses look so sterile and cookie cutter (characterless)
Somehow, I find it odd hearing you use the words "Scotland" and "delicacies" in the same sentence!!! 😲
