I'm looking at a montage of his movies and TV programs. There's one about him in something about sports and "family". He's done voice-overs for animated movies. I see the "Tooth Fairy". Another looks like , well, your big tough guy but a "new" father to a precocious girl in a ballerina outfit.
Another where he coaches a high school football team. I don't see any "superhero" there.

so i just finish watching this movie...one of my phobias is heights and i will just say this...it felt real from where i was sitting...i had tingling in my legs knees and feet as if i was looking down from that building and the rock pulled it off as if it was realistic. Absolutely, the best action movie i have seen in a long time and casting was perfect... excellent work to every one who was involved in bringing this film to fruition. Thanks for the experience, but i still can't take heights lol!!!

Exactly, I actually worked as a PA on this film, and even from just standing around and observing what they'd shot, I knew the film was gonna be complete shit. I couldn't keep track of the number of times I cringed from hearing the painfully cliche, obvious dialogue on set. The Rock really needs to pick better films.

YES!!! Neve Campbell!! She has been criminally underutilized in the film business. She's an amazing actress. I hope she is back for good. She deserves it. And she's the best horror movie heroine EVER. Scream 4 could have been incredible but they (The Weinsteins of course, who else!?) meddled with script too much. It was still okay/above-average but had it been what it could have been, her comeback would have been back in 2011.
