WISE review 2023 - All fees explained & comparison

Today I will be reviewing Wise, a Fintech company that offers debit cards and money transfer services amongst other things. The limits I will share or conditions will be for users in Spain, but Wise operates similarly in many different countries all over the world, so you can just go and check the specific rates that would apply then to you.
To understand the company and where it is now, I think that it is relevant to share briefly the story of how it was founded. Basically there were 2 friends from Estonia living in London, one getting paid in Euros and the other in pounds, that had to send money back to Estonia as they had a mortgage in euros. Transferring money between the banks they realised how expensive the fees were and how bad the exchange rates offered by the banks were.
With it, we can easily see that the focus of the company is on offering low cost international money transfers. However, this is not everything they are offering as they also have debit cards with competitive fees when travelling abroad.
