    In the beginning are you just doing a zig zag stitch for the hat panels?
    Also is the white stuff bias tape?

    Hi, will this work on a more normal sewing machine? The machine you're using looks very heavy duty.

    • @sewway
      @sewway  4 года назад +12

      The best way to make a pattern is to cut your old cap into pieces. Don't forget to add seam allowances.

      Hi, i tried to looking the diy pattern also. Unfortunately cant find any. Then I decide to make with my own way. First i made the equilateral triangel.. the size depend on you need, for kids or man. For example I made for my kids 5yo, size 14cm long and 8.5cm widht. One its done, you need to make curve line in "triangle legs" (idk if it the correct term). And a little bit curve in bottom side.

      You don’t have to cut anything. Measurements can be taken from the item. Just add seem allowances

    Hello, I have a question. You sewed the white band on the inside of the cap. But did you sew the seam just like the arch for adjusting? Or only sewing the white band into place. I'm using this tutorial for sewing my first cap and want to learn😊

    • @sewway
      @sewway  2 года назад +1

      This tape covers the terry bottom seam. Where it cannot be sewn on a typewriter, sew by hand (visor).

    Please I need my re explanation on cutting with measurements. Thanks

    • @sewway
      @sewway  3 года назад +1

      This video only shows the sewing technique. The construction of a pattern and the calculation of the required fabric depends on the size of the head and takes a lot of time. I can give you a simple tip - cut out an old baseball cap and use the details as a pattern.

    Great job ! Professionally well done 👍🏾. What kind of sewing machine do you use? Will any type get the job done?

    • @sewway
      @sewway  Год назад +1

      No, not every sewing machine can do this job. I have an industrial machine that is about 100 years old, but it sews perfectly on any fabric.
