WOW: « The most vulnerable, the poorest people are treated by this government with a callous brutality that is disgraceful. It’s a brutality that extends to keeping out refugee children that we promised to help. Films can make many things… they can entertain, they can terrify, they can take us to the world of imagination, they can make us laugh and they can tell us something about the real world we live in. In that real world, it’s getting darker and in the struggle that’s coming between the rich and the powerful, the wealth and the privileged and the big corporations or the politicians who speak for them on the one hand and the rest of us on the other… filmmakers know which side they’re on: we’re with the people.”
Fantastic speech by Ken, unfortunately so true, film made me cry after plenty of doing that for real. I am Daniel Blake. We love you Ken.
Viva Ken Loach
Rich, liberal, lefty, luvvies in their gated mansions preaching that they are on the side of the people - you've got to be kidding, they are completely out of touch with ordinary folk.

great man, great speech, am humbled...
Between the rich and the powerful and the politicans who speak for them on the one hand
and on all of us on the other
WE ARE WITH THE PEOPLE.
We are with the working class, with the average man who wakes up at 6 in the morning to give his children a decent meal.
Workers of the World UNITE!

Thank you to Ken Loach a good man .
Yes! Yes! Yes! xxx
why brits aren't supporting this amazing director?
Because Brits have to actually deal with the consequences of the politics he so brazenly preaches and advocates.
What? He represents fairness and equality in society. The Tories are raging a Class war on Britain. The war-mongering establishment, elite and Freemasons who also control the media with their divisive propaganda are actively exploiting so much inequality in our society whilst breaking so many laws with off-shore accounts and collective billions of pounds in inherited wealth in tax dodge breaks. It's great to see Ken Loach who has always stood up for the rights olf the Working class acknowledged for his craft and sensitivity.
I think that zufgh is absolutely right. When there are massive inequalities and injustices, the reason we don't see mass protests is because 1) the people suffering are the ones who are too tired, frustrated, desperate and despondent to organise and 2) the people who aren't suffering don't or can't empathise with the other guys so don't kick up a massive fuss.
Ken Loach, thankfully, is in a smaller third category of people who aren't suffering first hand the injustices and inequalities shown in I, Daniel Blake, but is caring enough to spend his time and energy telling the rest of us what is happening.
I have done, the problem is to see it required a trip to Manchester which was 2 hours and at least £20 on travel and another £8 on the cinema ticket.
@@zufgh the tories have been in power for a decade now, so where, pray tell, are these consequences you speak of? use your brain

What are you going to do about the millions of dissafected and unintegrated Muslims already in this country?
Blame governments for that, not the people coming. Most governments need migrants, you know the ones that clean the hotels, hospitals, look after the old and vulnerable, work in factories, pick the vegetables and do the most shitty jobs imaginable out there, you know those immigrants. I'm working class and I hate when governments deliberately pit us against the most vulnerable while they're laughing, the real criminals who are running and robbing the country via tax breaks, off shore accounts amd basic depriving the country of billions through schemes to gain more wealth.
Train your brain to think about those people than those on rubber dingies.
Ask yourself why they're coming and ask yourself "Qui bono" (who profits)
"we're with the people" he says whilst wearing a suit the average person would have to work a whole year for in order to afford.
??? Christ man you treat it as if the average person would turn up to the BAFTAs in a track suit... (hiring suits is a thing you know). Did you even watch the film? Or know anything about Ken Loach?
