It’s a full standalone game, so you don’t need Elden Ring to play Nightreign, and it takes place in an alternate timeline so it doesn’t mess up the lore, and it’s gonna be like a rougelike game so after each run it resets. It's not mainstream at all don't know what you mean... just because it sold well doesn't mean it is mainstream. Games like skyrim, last of us, horizon, God of war, they are mainstream. Those easy hand holding games that have mass appeal. Elden ring and soulslikes are much more niche. They aren't for most gamers. It is just that our little niche souls market has grown a bit now
