    Question for you: How many credit cards have you had in your journey? Also, did you catch the small editing mistake 👀?

      Plot twist: there was no editing mistake, but now Kevin gets triple the views as we all search for it

    Loved hearing about your experiences and how you’ve learned from them. Also it’s cool that you’ve gotten cards from so many different issuers. Good stuff Kevin!

      Haha I think I'm near my limit. Citi has decent cards but I'm not sure if I wanna open that can of worms just yet!

      Nice to see the Amex Plat ranked so high! How do you balance out your Hilton vs Marriott cards and where you decide to stay?

    • @Leoprieto74
      @Leoprieto74 4 месяца назад +1

      @@KevinYangI mostly stay at Marriott properties. I am like 60% Marriott, 25% Hilton, 10% Hyatt, and 5% IHG. I am also getting the Chase Ritz Carlton card in August and I am sure that the Ritz Carlton card will rank in my top 5 cards. Marriott has the best properties.

    Just starting my journey, my first was the BoA Custom Cash and now my second being the CFF, I'll be adding the CSP as well as the C1 duo later down the line, love the content btw 🔥

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  4 месяца назад +1

      Do you qualify for those Preferred Rewards at BoA? That sounds like a solid path, the CFF/CSP combo is amazing (personally don't see as big of a draw for the CFU), and the Cap1 Duo is so underrated! What timeline are you planning for all these cards?

    • @MultiJuan120
      @MultiJuan120 4 месяца назад +3

      @@KevinYang Actually I'm planning on getting the CFU as well with the affiliate offer that turns it into a 3x catch all for the first year, so in essence, I'll have all my expenses covered by those 2 cards with at least 3x on everything, THEN the CSP.
      Later in 6 months from getting the CFU I'll get the SavorOne, and when the next 6 months hit, and the 3x promotion ends, I'll get the VentureX having a Chase and Capital One Duo, that's the plan

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  4 месяца назад

      @@MultiJuan120 I'd suggest seeing which SUB is better for you actually, because yes you're getting the 3x on everything, but you're missing out on the $200 bonus as well!

    • @rickyl990
      @rickyl990 4 месяца назад

      The public SUB gets you $200 back after spending $500 within 3 months. The non-public SUB is the base cash back match giving 6.5% back on travel in chase portal, 4.5% back on dining and drugstores, and 3% back on everything else (for up to $20k spend - worth up to $300 cash back). Personally, I don’t spend $20k in a year, so it is much better for me to get the public SUB.

      @@KevinYang Would you recommend the CSP or C1X as the first general purpose travel point credit card? Travel twice per year or so.

  • @itsjohnny4267
    @itsjohnny4267 4 месяца назад +1

    I’m just starting off in the credit card game and I’m glad you had a disclaimer about the nuances in your card choices. Only a few content creators really emphasize this and leave newcomers like myself confused and blindly following the “dream set ups” being dumped on us.

      Everyone's strategy is different, so it really pays to understand each card and if it's ACTUALLY suited for your lifestyle! What cards do you have?

    • @itsjohnny4267

      @@KevinYang absolutely! I just got approved for the Capital One Savor One. Planning to get the Venture X eventually to get all the travel benefits from this set up.
      I was looking into getting the Chase Sapphire trifecta eventually, but as a recent college grad I don’t think I spend enough to actually earn those cards’ sign up bonuses

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  4 месяца назад +1

      Always a trade-off, but yeah if you have high spend, those high SUBs are really lucrative! Just like the Amex Business Gold 130k

    Great video. I'd add that over time even good cards have to be downgraded because they become redundant. I recently got the Chase Ink Business Preferred for that 100k bonus offer and decided to downgrade my Chase Sapphire Preferred. Even though it's a great stand alone card it essentially becomes useless with a pairing of Ink Preferred + Amex Gold/Savor One. I'd venture to say the AMEX Green will become useless after the SUB as well, considering you have other cards with 3x travel and 3x dining.

    • @KevinYang
      @KevinYang  4 месяца назад

      I have the same thought! Between my CIP, CSP and Amex Green, I'm leaning towards only keeping my CIP given the 3x on travel and ability to transfer Chase points

    Great video Kevin 👍🏽.
    For your Green card, for yr 2 are you planning a) cancel b) ask for retention offer or c) take an upgrade offer (if available) to personal Gold since you can’t apply for it outright anymore?

    • @KevinYang
