Jee, I'm in UK and just had the exact same 18 ct. day date restored for a friend, who wants to pass it on to his grandson. It was in a really sorry state, especially the bracelet, which was so worn that each link had more play in it than a Wimbledon tennis tournament. The chap who restored the bracelet, link by link, added about $1000 of gold replacing each pin and tube. Took him ages, painstaking work! The watch was OK, just needed a complete service. The only replacements needed were a new crystal and all of the gaskets. Same age as this one! Brilliant restoration, great video. Greetings from 🇬🇧 !
Do you mind sharing the details of who restored the bracelet in the UK please? Painstaking work and seems that not a lot of watchmakers offer the service to restore bracelets
Wow what an amazing gift for a grandson
I’m also interested in who restored. I have the same watch with lots of play in the bracelet. And I don’t think it’s ever been serviced! Could you share details of who could fix bracelet and service?
I am but ok.

BRAVO PETE! You’re OLD School bro. Keep it up… keep it going
I appreciate that! 🙏🏻
It really speaks to how skilled you are when you can fix such major mistakes, turning an almost ruined watch into something that can be really enjoyed once again. Truly one of the most incredible restorations i've seen.
The way you restore the Rolex is almost exactly the way I was thought when I first started in jewelry business. My boss had very high standards and expected perfection in everything we do. This happens when you know the right way to do things. That Rolex tape works the best ! Awesome video 👏
James Gandolfini is truly missed 🙏🔝
Once I get my pieces I'll be sure to send it to this guy. Worth the money for top tier, OCD, service.
it really is ! haha thank you
Your knowledge and skills are top notch and your respect for the watches you work on is fantastic. The way you treat watches and your clients really resonates with me. Your name is everything. Really enjoy the honest and informative content you make, keep up the great work and wish you all the success’s as you deserve it.
@@Watchgeek14 appreciate it tremendously!
Peter is the real deal, I had the pleasure to meet him last week and bought a beautiful Starbucks from him, I'll definitely buy more Rolexes from him!
thanks Jose! appreciate it tremendously
Peter, the quality of the fine brushing of the finished watch is just fantastic!
would love to see the footage of cleaning the disassembled parts in the cleaning machine, as well the the bracelet in the ultrasonic cleaner too. Always a nice feeling to see years of dirt lift of the bracelets with a thorough clean.
Yea I don’t know what happened to parts cleaning footage I don’t think I filmed it, but bracelet like these usually don’t carry dirt and debri! The other jubilee and oyster models do for sure though.
EXCELLENT work on this Rolex President Peter! Subscribed!
BLOWN away. Nobody does it better
Appreciate it Joe!!
Have watched this a few times 😂. I appreciate how good a job you have done. It’s a very sympathetic restoration and makes the watch look just amazing. Best wishes From Scotland
Ohhhhhhhhuuueee! Great work, Peter!
Thank you!!🙏🏻
Very nice job Peter . It looks amazing and running like a dream 👍
Glad you like it thanks for watching!
Solvol metal polish works so well on gold silver chrome etc that the scratches dont even show unless they are really bad ones awesome stuff !!!
Peter, your watch repair skills are off the charts! I do want to ask you or the owner about how in the world do you bend a lug! It requires a tremendous amount of force, doesn’t it?
It definitely does, or one good smack and that lug is gone, gold is extremely soft especially 18k
Dude is a magician for real solid work brother
Appreciate this🙏🏻
Dang. This is the best job I’ve ever seen. Great work! I’m a fellow OCD guy and wish I knew how to do this work.
the grease in the movement is from the gabagool
Extra gabagool on this one
I agree, you did justice for it. If it’s gonna go back to being a daily wear, you made it look nice again and functional again. I’m not a fan of polishing any of my watches but I’m cool with this, it’ll get scuffed and scratched again but it presents beautifully again.
Looks amazing Pete, such a classic piece and those nics and scratches make it even better
we call those "character" haha thanks for watching
Respectful, expert treatment- just how it should be done! The bar is set - bravo 👏
Thank you very much appreciate it!
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on AMZWATCH 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
wow!! great job restoring that beautiful watch back to life
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching !
Great job, Peter! Looks great 👍
Thanks 👍
Outstanding video! Great work Peter
Glad you enjoyed it thanks !
Beautiful work
Thank you very much!
Thanks for another great one. Keep up the great work.
Thank you🙏🏻
Love it. The crystal tho needs a counter-clockwise turn at 19:18....nevermind.,...you fixed it for the final shot. It's beauty dude!
@@MR_Robbers haha I was like wait what did I not move it😂 thank you man! Appreciate it
Nice job. I particularly enjoyed the narration and explanations.
Glad you liked the explanations thanks for watching🙏🏻
Outstanding restoration, my friend ,a looks million times better than before, holly molly seriously.. beautiful piece, I love it when you said respect,a should be this way with everything you own, unfortunately with don't see it this way...sad, once again thanks for bringing this piece back...until next time, all way from st George Utah, Viva watch making....
Thank you, that was a excellent follow through video!
Fantastic job on a watch that was beat to heck. I wear mine daily as well.
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
My that's good work and the polishing too, this looks brand new.
I love Pete’s videos
Nice vid Peter, keep up the great work.
Thanks 👍
What a beautiful time piece, what a fantastic job 👍🏻
thank you!
"It's just crazy that all these parts could break inside a watch and end up where they shouldn't be"
Lol, that's just such a hilarious statement 😂😂😂😂😂
Brilliant job - well done.
Wow 👌 impressive servicing man bravo 👏 love ❤️ your handy work !
AMZWATCH Stunning watches stunning video you are special i love it keep it up
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Have been watching you since the grey market challenge at LB and I've got to say, you are great at your craft! Glad to see you keep going. Love the restoration content! Keep it coming man🔥
Thank you so much!
Wow...fkn beautiful! I am not sure what happened with LB and you but you are doing beautiful work and anyone who gets the privilege of working with you will be extremely happy. 👍👏

AMZWATCH is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!

Love the video, and more importantly your attention to detail.
Glad you liked it! And OCD is in the veins 😂
@@valruscheniko2321 Not sure what that is, but you Will Not get the same level of service that you WILL get from Peter.
that was incredible. what a beautiful watch and what great work you did on it!AMZWATCH
I like watches, never tried a disassemble video but I did enjoy seeing yours and the explanation while working was dope
I appreciate that!

@@cbincbnc thank you!
Awesome work 👏🏻
Thank you!
I wish that owner had replaced the hands.
Great job!
Darn great work. Excellent channel and I loved the slight trash talking on the previous "rocket scientist"
Beautiful work!
Thank you very much!
I have a 1978 1803. I love this timepiece. Fun video to watch
Great watch!!
If it’s a 1803 it’s a pre 77. 78 and above were 18038’s
I have a 1952 Doxa Antimagnetique that has been serviced only twice in 72 years: Once properly and once not so much. It's a treasured family heirloom from my late and beloved grandmother. Before I knew anything about watches, I gave it to a jewellery store which advertised watch repair. In hindsight, I think all they were really qualified to do is swap batteries in quartz junk. They "cleaned" it, which included cosmetically ruining the movement's screws with what I can only assume was a hammer wielded by a blind man. Needless to say, it didn't help, but the second shop did it properly. Their regulation ended in it running at -6 SPD. Pretty impressive for one actual service in over 70 years.
Really nice job sir, that is one of my favourite watches of all time.
Andy UK.
Glad you enjoyed it and I agree mine too!
Wow! Fantastic restoration. The president bracelet looks about as good as new. The caseback is concerningly thin, most people wouldn't touch it but you managed to breathe some life into it.
@@MamaLifeBri thank you! It was a great one for sure very happy with the outcome
Im having a panic attack just looking at all those parts---disassembled. LOL!
It gives me a headache sometimes 😂
Great work!
Thanks!
Wow!, what a fantastic job.
Thank you!
I really admire and respect your dedication to your profession. I wish you were in the uk. Happy new year to you
Fcking great video - the one we've been waiting for! Another great upload, thanks again
Glad you enjoyed it! thank you
Great Job Pete OSD in watching repair is welcomed.
Absolutely! One of the most important traits😂
Great job man! Best thing you did was leave Luxury Bizarre and do your own thing. Good for you! -Glen
thanks glen appreciate !
Wonderful content👏🏻👍✅
Hi Peter
. Love all your videos and will get my 18238 from you when I have the $$$. Wondering why you didn’t replace the hands? They were really hammered. I got my Rolex back from a repair guy, and there was a huge fingerprint on my second hand. I made sure to mention it the next time I took it in. Keep up the excellent work.
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Bought mine in Mexico 35 years ago runs like a top. Even sweeps. Nobody going to tell unless you scrutinize. Best $25
You are super great!! You LOVE what you do!!!!
Thank you so much!
The New York Cleveland and Chicago aaaaaaaa n oooooooos are hilarious 😂 those accents are hilarious
Not in a bad way my Oma busts my balls cause her husband is from New York and I’m from Cleveland area my cousin lives in Chicago but the older I get I realize I have the accent I was denying my whole life
Great vid 👏🏽
@@dial81 thank you!
Watching this video while wearing my Seiko5 Sports on a jubilee. ASMR. Great job beautiful Rolly.
Wow, thank you!
Really nice to see the whole process! I would have liked to see new hands as well
Ehh price vs worth! These hands function properly and really you don’t notice the scratches unless under extreme magnification, but I agree would tie it all together😂
You are a true craftsmen sir.
OCD , but most serious people are. A fantastic video, and a tribute to yourself and your profession. You rightly deserve all the patrons you no doubtably have. Watching someone who really loves their work is mesmerising. Fantastic work.. quick question, how much did you charge? (Although a rolex, pretty sure it's a blank cheque!) Great video, and good luck.
thank you tremendously!
Beautiful job
Thank you! 😊
Hay Pete how’s tricks? That turned out a million times better than it was!! 😮. Roughly how long would a restoration like that take?
Great job!👏
Thank you! 😃
Great work homie
Appreciate it thanks for watching!
Sneaky Pete Season 2 . love it, more of these please
😂😂 I’m trying man little by little
Excellent video
Thank you I appreciate that👍🏻
My father had this exact watch - the exact reference. It sadly is no longer with him but I wish every day he still had it.
man im sorry to hear that! great watch and im sure It meant a ton to your father
Awesome stuff.
Thank you!
Love it, this is my all-time grail watch, being a child of the 80's it will always be on the top of my list, It is another banger from peter, keep it up. lol 1st
such a classic watch, one of the best models wish they did a rerun of these now in 2024!
@@Peterpic OMG yes a rerun of this watch would be amazing. If I ever need this kind of work done I know where I am going, You did an amazing restoration of this piece, thanks so much for sharing.
@@johnflynn6140 appreciate it John! If they don’t have what you’re looking for give me a call
Wow excellent meticulous work Peter. Masterclass in service. I’m acquiring a 18238 1989 President this week. And if it needs service I know where I am going!
That’s awesome it’s a great watch! If you ever have an issue feel free to reach out
@@Peterpic Awesome thanks Peter. Sourcing from a very reputable dealer here in NH and they offer their own warranty. So I’ll have a look Thursday and let you know!
So glad Peter went off on his own to valuable to the game
You’re a true scientist, being able to take apart and rebuild a watch so complex.
🙏🏻 thank you
@@Peterpiccan’t believe how complex these things are. What a nightmare to work on. You really know your stuff.
You’re an actual artist man. I love your videos. Glad I found your channel after you left LB. One question: if you sold this watch yourself today, how much would it go for being that it had to be such a serious restoration?
This isn’t a serious restoration by any means, I’d compare it to changing plugs belts and coolant on your car, nothing was altered all factory parts and basic polish! If I changed a lot of parts like case bracelet etc then I’d say it’ll affect value depending on condition
@@Peterpic Interesting!! I’d think post-polish and replacing parts it would’ve affected value more. In any case, if you sold this today what would you charge for it?
Great viewing Peter.
Thank you!!
this looks incredible
Fantastic video
thank you very much!
I came for the sopranos reference and watch restoration, I stayed for the well deserved shit talk.
