For those who can't figure out how to apply the adhesive you cut to fit and apply where needed. Otherwise you can purchase the replacement screens and rear glass with adhesive.
I must've watched atleast 15 videos before I settled to use this one to attempt the screen repair. Ive repaired screens before but not a basta*d Samsung. This video helped me IMMENSELY and I successfully replaced the screen. Though I will say I tried to replicate what you did with the adhesive with stacking, my recent button wouldn't work properly, I lifted the bottom and removed a strip of adhesive and resealed with some adhesive glue. It now works perfectly. The adhesive for me why the hardest part, if I were to do it again I wouldn't use as much. Greatly appreciate your video
From all S7 Edge screen replacement videos yours gave me the best tips for a successful DIY. Very thankful you mentioned the capacitive bottom flex care measures. Thanks from México.
Wow... well done for been a true professional and helping people understand why it is soooo expensive to replace glass on these phone. my back and front is gone and I got quoted €260 front another €60 for the back and €70 for the recharging port. Pointless when I can buy a replacement for €260 all in
@@FixItPlanet1 Well, all I want is a new screen without spending 250E. when my phone costed me 650E. 2,5 years ago. This looks indeed less hassle free.
Quick question. Where did you get the screen from did this include the digitizer? Seems like my s7 edge digitizer has just stopped working I get no video. I can hear sounds ect fine. Screen isn't cracked either.
Yes..I did use a hair dryer for the removal of the "back glass"..(note, Not the Front!!!)...the hair dryer, was on high...for about 45 secs...as i moved around the back edges..focused around the edges..You do not want to heat the inside..like the battery or the touch pad area.....I felt the back layer, with my fingers..I.e the temperature is just "hot" enough to be able to hold...as i pry open..using a PLASTIC pry tool...(Not Metal..as i didnt want to SHORT any electrical connections like on the mother board!!... i didnt allow the edge- layers to stick back again by inserting a plastic card, or guitar pick, all around the edges...Dont force the layers apart!!! with too much force..as the back glass is flimsy and cracks easily..(i can only guess the reason it is glass is because the wireless charger may need that and not metal etc..just a guess..but inwould have used thin plastic...but than i dont know specifics. so pull and pry just enough for the Back layer to be moved away. So heat and pry ..and repeat..be patient and slow work helps. Do not push the pry tool too far in...although there is no great danger like in S9 where a ribbon cable connector is in the way...especially at the top..around the camera lens areas..SO start from bottom corners...so again slow work around the edge...Not much glue in the centre. When finished and you are replacing the back layer , if not cracked..or if slightly cracked...you can alays use some stickyvtaoe etc to strengthen the inside ...as a nice back civer later will cover it anyaway!! You may want to buy a sticker sheet ...instead of using a glue tube...A sticker layer specific for the model to stick the back layer..glue sticker sells online for about $2...and back glass layer cab be about $5. The Challenge is the front...and my guess why the phone needs to taken apart to change just the glass layer (high difficulty)...is most likely because of the heat that needs to be used...and we do not want the logic board and other components from being heated. Of course if you think you can...like in some videos go ahead. But if you replace the LCD display WITH frame it's a lot easier...but slightly more expensive. Most replacement I see are from canibalised sets...which means they cab fail soon...I have seen a different OEM displays that maybe better or slightly less brighter..by some manufacturers...and I prefer the new ones.but I guess older models don't make commercial sense for OEM manufacturers to produce...unless it's iPhone screens that seem to have more demand...Not Androids..SO..cheaper phones have more cheaper spare parts..but for a shorter time...and replacement costs are more than the phone..which is crazy..frustrating...but I guess that's life!!!
Hi. I have an S7 edge and only the outside glass is damaged. Touch and screen are like new. Is it posible to change only the glass. With the help of some heat gun or air soldering with a bigger nosle?
It is very difficult to do glass only repair by hand. A heat gun or hot air station will more likely cause heat damage to the display. Otherwise with the proper expensive equipment it is not impossible just not practical for one repair.
I mess mine up I got the back off but I stop the video to heat the front glass and that where I mess up I think I pop the home button wire and the speaker at the top wire my screen is black I need help can I buy a use phone and charge the motherboard
Is it possible to replace the LCD foil ? I damaged that and didnt realize it was not part of the kiti bought. original damage was just the screen and the LCD was not damaged.
You didn’t have to apply any of that weird goop stuff on the front of the lcd? I’ve seen other screen replacement vids that use some type of liquid to bond the screen to the lcd. Maybe that’s just an adhesive option, I don’t know.
i have an S7 edge, screen goes green/white, could you tell me what exactly i have to buy as when i search on google there are multiple options ( LCD display / touch screen digitizer assembly )
my phone cracked on the edge directly in the middle the top half appears fine but the bottom half flickers do I just need a new screen or do I need the new digitizer as well?
Why is my suction cup not holding on to the phone when it is hot. I have the same exact suction cup but as soon as i pull it, it releases pressure and let go of the phone
At this time we are not a parts re-seller. We do sell some accessories and a few tools but pretty limited. Our primary focus is on repairs. We may decide to expand what we sell in the future but not yet. That display is very expensive (the glass only is cheap but requires more labor, UV glue, special tools etc.)
If the screen is damaged you already lost water resistance. It will never be as good as a factory seal, but you can get the original adhesive strips and if you do a good job it will be better that when it was damaged.
my digitizer is perfectly fine and working only the upper glass is slightly broken I already purchased th8 front glass panel and seen many videos of glass only replacement by removing just the front glass and then sticking the new one on it would you recommend me of doing so
Were you able to successfully swap out the glass screen? My screen is cracked but the image is fine and it responds to all commands so I think my digitizer is fine. I dont want to take my phone apart yet if i need to order the digitizer first.
It is working so far -which I know cause I tested it with the motherboard and battery I already have. Repair wise, I still haven't removed the broken screen glass on the digitizer I ordered but thankfully, there are several videos that show how to do so. Also, I also bought the replacement glass on Ebay, brand new without paying an arm and a leg. What type of phone do you have that needs repairs?
Quick question, I got a broke s7 edge that has a largee green line down from the top to the bottom, the phone looks has pretty large gap between thee screen and the digitizer would that cause the green line? How would I reseat it? Thanks
I should have watched this video since it shows a lot of detail compared to the other ones especially around the home button and the flex buttons. I broke one of my flex buttons. help
And I do have a cracked across my camera lens at the back of the phone so I might need it too please text me and let me know where I could order it how much God bless you
I am sure your customer paid around $350 for this repair as the LCD and digitizer cost $200 ---based on the dates noted here. Personally, I would never have done this without having the proper color screen to match the phones back, I understand there was a timing issue. However, if you had a gold screen in stock you should have a gold back and home button, at least the home button should have been gold. Otherwise good video and average to good repair from a technical perspective.
Great. Only thing I will say is that if the LED panel underneath was still good, why didn't you just replace the glass, rather than obliterating the screen and glass. It's really difficult, but I've seen some people replace the glass successfully, so perhaps next time you might want to consider just doing a glass replacement.
is the screen expensive? im from jamaica and its 30k for 1 of those screens thats waaaaaay too much funds for a screen thats more than 250 U.S currency
For those who can't figure out how to apply the adhesive you cut to fit and apply where needed. Otherwise you can purchase the replacement screens and rear glass with adhesive.

Thank you. Far and away the best tutorial for this on RUclips. Followed it step by step and replaced my own screen and save £100+ in the process.
Thank you that's great to hear!
For how much you got the new screen if I may ask?
yes I would like to know too. As I assume your from the Uk?
I find your videos, educational and very soothing, thanks. :D

You are awesome bro the way you repair the screen is outstanding and u work very gently
Thank you
What adhesive did u use?
@@tylerwonderz4933 here is some pre-cut adhesive for that model amzn.to/2VChKGE and for the rear glass amzn.to/2Vbjlnu

how long do you heat it for? I am using a blow dryer. I can't seem to get the thing to lift at all.
best related video so far!
@Fix it planet how long did u use heat gun for ?
where did you get that plastic and the metal "spatula" tools? I'd like to add those to my tool box.
iFixit.com sell them also eBay or Amazon
Where did you get the replacement LCD/Glass in your s7 edge screen repair video. I really need to do this. I have a heat gun and proper tools.
3M 200MP adhesive it's good for display replacement?Or should I buy 3M 300LSE?
I see some videos just replacing the glass and some like this one complete with the so called digitizer. Which method is better?
It just depends on what you want to do. "Glass Only" repair is difficult, time consuming and not very practical. It is up to you.
@@FixItPlanet1 Well, all I want is a new screen without spending 250E. when my phone costed me 650E. 2,5 years ago. This looks indeed less hassle free.
where can i buy the adhesive stip that u use to place the new screen?
Try these 5mm amzn.to/2XneOw3 and 2mm amzn.to/2rOmhbA
Great job thanks
Thank you too!
Are all the screws the same size or are they different just like an iPhone
Most are all the same with a few exceptions but not like the iPhone
Is it still waterproof after this process?
Great video man. Real pro
Thank you!
That phone boit very fast. Is this due to the display and glass being replaced. My s7 edge boots very slow.
Hi Fix It Planet am Jerry Imran from West Africa Ghana you guys increases my Technics I 🤝💌

do you have a link to where i can purchase the screen glass? also did it not require loca glue?
Try Ebay or Amazon. No loca glue is not used for this type of repair. I would not do glass only repair on this model.
What kind of double sided adhisive tape you use?
You can get different widths here amzn.to/3nBoX5m

it’s okay to glue the display with b7000?
or it’s much better with 3m adhesive?

Great video of the process
Thank you
you can't change just the digitizer? and not all the screen?
Hello , I need the same operation for my phone and I am wondering if you can tell me how much does it costs
is it still wateresistant
and do you void any warranty if you try to do it by yourself
Well if the screen is cracked then water resistance is already compromised and physical damage is not covered under the manufacturers warranty.
If I can send my phones in to you guys can it be fixed or do I need to pay?
Could you use a blow drier instead of heat gun?
You could but it will take longer to heat up.
my phone cracked on the edge directly in the middle the top half appears fine but the bottom half flickers do I just need a new screen or do I need the new digitizer as well?
Replace the whole screen
If the back or/and the front is glued back on properly, does the waterproofing remain?
If it is done properly it will be fine better than a cracked screen but would not pass factory spec..
Question can I replace a verizon s7 edge screen lcd with a sprint s7 edge screen lcd
Good job!
Where can I get a screen for my s7 edge verizon variant?
What about tje pink line.. What is the reason behond it

Cut to fit and apply where needed, or you can buy pre-cut adhesive.
Why is my suction cup not holding on to the phone when it is hot. I have the same exact suction cup but as soon as i pull it, it releases pressure and let go of the phone
was that a full screen or just front screen replacement
Full screen
Where can I buy the glass?

Is there a place that sells the lcd screen assembly for cheap, or am I stuck paying $200? 😠
$200, I can't find an OEM class "A" for less than $260 . I'm not into the Chinese-ium knock off class "B" and "C" screens.
Go with ebay. I got my lcd and digitizer in an auction for $84.

Not really.
Why do you have to open the back if you are only changing the screen ?
Among other things, you cannot disconnect or reconnect the display or disconnect the battery without removing the back cover.
My ocd didn’t let me get over the fact that he used a gold screen on a pink phone...

ugh i cracked mines just yesterday and the cheapest i can find to fix it is $129 smh everywhere else wants damn near $300
