That is exactly what I am doing now. There is a problem in my family in the wake of my oldest sister´s death. She had ill health all her life and never married or had children. I took care of her the last years of her life. Some disputes have come up regarding her estate. My youngest sister is not behaving well now. So I turn to Beethoven to gain courage to deal with the situation and it works. God bless the memory of Beethoven. I visited his grave in Vienna more than 20 years ago and laid some flowers.

They have been given a gift...but they must discover and develop it. Some are just compelled from the beginning, even with the most difficult surroundings.
I disagree. Mozart was most certainly born a genius. it manifested itself when he was four years old. He did work hard to learn and compose music but there is no doubt that his DNA was extraordinary. The same can be said, but to a less extreme extent, about Mendelssohn and others.

The Emperor, No 5, is in my opinion the greatest piano concero of all. The only one that comes close is his 4th. It incredible and absolutely amazing how his brain could work it all out and write it down for all to hear.
I have been listening to Beethoven most of my life especially when I had piano lessons at school. I managed Grade 4 but college came along and my “party piece “ was Moonlight Sonata “as well as more modern pieces. Having listened to the 5 piano concertos now that I have retired from teaching (not music) the Emperor is my favourite. “
Emperor concerto is my favourite even just for the second movement alone. One of the most, if not the most sublime and spiritual music created. A timeless masterpiece of masterpieces.
Color is the keyboard, the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artist is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul
I would love to meet beethoven he was insanely special superhuman being. Plus his music was my sole inspiration to become a pianist and now all I play is all his lovely music. He was so ahead of his time, his style had some crazy modern chord progressions.
It was written before his piano concerto 1, but for some reasons published later as 2nd, he even wrote an unpublished piano concerto much earlier at his 14-15s the WoO4.
I enthusiastically agree with all of you.! Thank you for your heartfelt comments.❤ Thank you Halidon for posting such an excellent and passionate series of recordings. And thank you God, for the heavenly music of this troubled but big-hearted son of God -- L Van Beethoven. I feel very connected with the lovely man from Iceland who has difficulties with a sibling or 2, and gains courage from Beethoven's music. SAME FOR ME! Similar sibling problems, and i gain tremendous courage from LVB's music, especially the piano concertos. I wish i could share with you, I feel your heart, it is so painful when our loved ones hurt each other. 😓 Brenda. Sydney Australia.
The recording is absolutely different from any other I had listened before!!! But sincerely I love it. All instruments in the orchestra can be heard much more than generally, but that is why make the sound also much more interesting. Great, whatever, great. Thanks for posting
The instrument in EMPEROR has a very special sonority which I had not listened since Wilhelm Kemp in 1960. I think also that the recording has a lot to do. And the soloist does the rest. Awesome!!! Besides all sections are very clearly heard, mainly the wood winds as if they were antique. So, so special!!!
Credit goes to the brilliant musicians who have recorded these pieces - you can find their names in the video description if you're curious! Thank you very much for the support 🙏
I love classical music and it has added such rich dimensions to my life. I'm not near where I would like to be in being able to enjoy music more fully, however, at this point Beethoven is the exclamation mark for me. I have just discovered his triple concerto. I'm wishing all orchestras would play it using their first cellists, first violinists and pianist. Guest artists aren't even necessary as it is too expensive to play this piece bringing in three performers.
Too bad we couldn't celebrate Beethoven's 250th birthday in style in 2020. But who else wants the man to be celebrated throughout 2021, or whenever Covid is finally managed and we can go to live concerts again?
Patricia Pronto Yes I agree Covid kinda robbed the public of such a majestic splendour celebration that could have been for Beethoven's 250 th 💞 So yes let's have an extended celebration of Beethoven as I agree like in the UK now Covid is settling down somewhat and cases have dropped considerably and as follows in other consequtive countries 💞
Yes, I had tickets with the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2020. I was so excited about the Beethoven birthday celebration line up. I dearly miss the orchestra and all the beautiful music in the great concert hall. I hope that we can enjoy it again soon. Virtual concerts just aren't the same. I'm sure the musicians and conductor misses their audience.
You're right let's definitely have some type of celebration belated as it may be for Beethoven's 250th I mean imagine that he's influence more people now with his music than ever of course there's more people now is recordings now I like the the one reply that said can you imagine being in the audience the first time they told him symphony no I can't I would like to be in the office in the audience when you played the first second and third Lyrica no not Lyrica not Lyrica eureka okay forget it the 3rd piano concerto hero concerto anyway oh by the way all the stuff that I'm talking about my sources listen to kusc they give so many great dark toys like one Beethoven was you wasn't riding the 5th at the moment he was at his brother's house when Napoleon had was bombing Vienna and as I understand it him and his brother went downtown downstairs yeah to the basement I guess and Beethoven crossed out the word Napoleon that was on top of the the score that's what he was going to call it and then she called it emperor so Napoleon while you were in my estimation military genius you're also a little nuts wanting to control them all of Europe I mean Francis powerful and still don't understand why what was you know why you wrecked your army in Russia game froze the army as I understand it anyway Beethoven's wonderful
It can't be. Beethoven was white which means he's systemically racist. We need to destroy all that slave lovin' statue buildin' music and just make one all inclusive song that can't possibly upset one person, or 1/5 of a person.
The most delicate and precise playing of Beethoven’s 5th that I have EVER experienced. Following eye surgery I am only able to listen, somthis was perfect for me. Thank you indeed!
This is a strange yet interesting recording, very heavy sounding piano at times, and it does sound like the orchestra is in another room! Wonderful music nonetheless from the master, I listened to every concerto back to back and enjoyed it all, thank you.
The piano sounds very bright (at times brittle sounding) in all these recordings by Italian pianists. I bet they were playing European made pianos, i.e., not Steinway grands. I agree with you the orchestra often sounds distant and does not blend well with piano (to my ear).
Thank you Halidon for this superb compilation of Beethoven Piano Concerts. I never thought that I could listen to only one composer all night through, but I did it with great enjoyment! I still have some of the best classical compositions in a Collection titled " The Classics - Discovered -", licensed from LongIsland Music Co Ltd.!! Many thanjs, Teresa.
True, true. I've heard it said that Beethoven believed in freedom and equality, and it does seem to level all distinctions. The moment of Beethovenization for me was in the 1990's with a daily keyboard effort to set to memory the Pathetique and Appassionata sonatas.
I grew up surrounded by classical music - Beethoven, Bach, Purcell, Schubert, Mendelssohn... something for which I am eternally grateful to my my parents, especially my mother. Classical deserves to be far more widely known and disseminated: when I hear that the Proms are now going to include 'house' music, rap and so on I despair! Still, at least all genres of serious music from plainsong to Birtwhistle are now available online which is definitely a move in the right direction.
The BBC and the arts community have always done this : with time and a little luck, the Proms will soon get over this faddish conduct and revert to bringing the incomparable gifts of classical music to their supporters.
@@garyguyton7373 Give Dance With The Devil - Immortal Technique a listen. Dark story, but impressive storytelling imo. Also Thieves in the Night - Blackstar is good lyricism, especially Mos Def's verse starting at around 1:20
@@samdobie6748 I'll do that. My daughter and her husband are Rap/modern popular music fans. they've made several suggestions they thought I'd enjoy, and they were right more than once. I retaliated with some classical selections, short works, and they no longer sneer at classical music. Bach's Air, Beethoven's, Fur Elise, Barber's Adagio. They liked all three.
Fantastic COMPOSER FOR ALL AGES, FOR ALL TIME. ONE NEVER TIRES OF LISTENING TO ALL OF BEETHOVEN'S COMPOSITIONS, HIS SIMPLE PIECES, SONATAS, CONCERTOS, SYMPHONIES, ETC. HE IS SIMPLY A GREAT COMPOSER!!! GLORY TO GOD, HALLELUJAH!🙏 NOW & FOREVER!🙏🙏🙏

Some of the best works ever written!
Thank you for this beautiful album and may God bless you all
Love how this starts with my two favorites... #5 and #2. Another great upload! God bless you Halidon!
I cannot decide which is my favourite piano concerto . All 5 are wonderful. Just wish I could hear them live.
How'd you get introduced to Beethoven and/or how long have you been listening?
Beethoven was a master and I always love hearing every concerto as well as play them!
Yes he was the master of every concerto
Ludwig Van Beethoven: gods gift to mankind!
Great! Love it!
Sublime y encantador. Sus composiciones siempre llenas de emoción.
Today is Beethoven's Birthday!
Thank you Halidon for another listening treat. Beethoven no less!
HALIDON is a genius! Beethoven is a triple genius!
They are a combination of all goodness...
My favorite of Bee's 5 piano concertos.
it's like music from heaven.....fantastic
That Concerto #2 is heavenly.
Ikr, so underrated.
It was written before his piano concerto 1, but for some reasons published later as 2nd, he even wrote an unpublished piano concerto much earlier at his 14-15s the WoO4.
I enthusiastically agree with all of you.!
Thank you for your heartfelt comments.❤
Thank you Halidon for posting such an excellent and passionate series of recordings.
Brenda. Sydney Australia.
The recording is absolutely different from any other I had listened before!!! But sincerely I love it. All instruments in the orchestra can be heard much more than generally, but that is why make the sound also much more interesting. Great, whatever, great. Thanks for posting
Try Krystian Zimmerman, it's much better. This has no passion like it's being played by robots, it's soulless
I do so agree Alvaro, I thought it was SO special. x
Cover is Beethoven's statue in Vienna. Nice but his greatest monument is his music. Through it he'll live forever and enrich us all.
As long as there is humanity on this planet! Forever!
I am forever grateful for the Romantic composers, performers, and artists who helped merge my music into the standard repertoire.
Awesome compilation! Bravo Beethoven! Thanks for uploading. ❤️🎹🎼🎵🎶👏🇮🇪☘️
Over the years, I've listened to many versions of Beethoven's piano concertos and this is a fine set and played beautifully. A credit to Halidon.
Credit goes to the brilliant musicians who have recorded these pieces - you can find their names in the video description if you're curious! Thank you very much for the support 🙏
Gracias.
His concertos are amazing im impressed
I love classical music and it has added such rich dimensions to my life. I'm not near where I would like to be in being able to enjoy music more fully, however, at this point Beethoven is the exclamation mark for me. I have just discovered his triple concerto. I'm wishing all orchestras would play it using their first cellists, first violinists and pianist. Guest artists aren't even necessary as it is too expensive to play this piece bringing in three performers.
I just discovered the triple concerto, too, after 65 years listening to classical music. What a joy it is!
Amen
Too bad we couldn't celebrate Beethoven's 250th birthday in style in 2020. But who else wants the man to be celebrated throughout 2021, or whenever Covid is finally managed and we can go to live concerts again?
Patricia Pronto
Yes I agree Covid kinda robbed the public of such a majestic splendour celebration that could have been for Beethoven's 250 th 💞
So yes let's have an extended celebration of Beethoven as
I agree like in the UK now Covid is settling down somewhat
and cases have dropped considerably and as follows in other consequtive countries 💞
THE EVERLASTING CONCEPT OF WHAT MUSIC MEANS. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
It can't be. Beethoven was white which means he's systemically racist. We need to destroy all that slave lovin' statue buildin' music and just make one all inclusive song that can't possibly upset one person, or 1/5 of a person.
Absolutely, beautifully perfect. ❤
@@ventepap2779 What does it matter how old (or young) the listener is! Anyone can have an opinion.
@@akinsons MAY BE OK !!

Wonderful..Lugwig Van Beethoven.
Concerto number five.. HIS BEST!
Not only his best, but the best piano concerto ever written by anybody, and I doubt if it will ever be equalled in future.
You are so correct with that statement sir. It is truly magnificent.
Music like this keeps me enjoying life. Thank you. ❤
Yes, Amen
I am humbled with such sublime music!
Beethoven for sure is my favourite,he has a beautiful mind 🥰😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😊😊
Stupenda e dolcissima musica molto rilassante , bellissima grazie
BE EVER GRATEFUL TO ALMIGHTY GOD THE CREATOR OF ALL THAT IS, INCLUDING MUSIC AND HERR BEET HOVEN, AS HE CALLED HIMSELF ! 👍❤️
MY THANKS TO
GOD ALMIGHTY FOR GIVING THIS
MUSIC ♡♡♡
Thank you Halidon for this superb compilation of Beethoven Piano Concerts. I never thought that I could listen to only one composer all night through, but I did it with great enjoyment! I still have some of the best classical compositions in a Collection titled " The Classics - Discovered -", licensed from LongIsland Music Co Ltd.!! Many thanjs, Teresa.
We're not surprised Teresa: Beethoven's music is such pleasant company! Thank you very much for your continued support, we truly appreciate it 💙
My soul music today. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I'll enjoy the music.
He brought us a new gospel. Through him life is enriched. He has been in my daily life since my youth and what a marvelous experience
Some oldschool rap is just poetry over a instrumental. There is nothing bad about quality lyricism.
The BBC and the arts community have always done this : with time and a little luck, the Proms will soon get over this faddish conduct and revert to bringing the incomparable gifts of classical music to their supporters.
@@samdobie6748 Usually, I find it to be pretty bad poetry. Not always, Nothing is Always.
Beethoven only he was a genius still he's a genius because he was one of a kind thank you very much for the music
I seen the music is the glue the world needs to stitch together because we are all in it
my favorite part is the last movement of number 3... it seems that Beethoven is very happy and content and witty !

I will always admire him and love his music, the best... What happiness would have been meeting and sharing with him... 💕
This is a lost dream, I know
It was very difficult for people to try to sneak into his room while he was composing. Sometimes he got so mad that moved out

MARAVILLOSO
