Lovely. I’m a medieval dancer. My interpretation process suggested a bit like Stripping the Willow where a pair dances with everyone in a line then it turned into a little circle like Earl of Oxford (I think I got that name right except it’s danced in eight with two lots of four not 6 and two watching). Then there was a complicated swapping bit I thought was more or less like a hey without arms. Pretty and intricate!
This is in Kansas City. The group is mostly focused on Scottish Highland Dance which is pretty female-dominated nowadays. So there weren't any boys available for this performance.
That was a heck of a pace and meant the set had to be very tight. Maybe a little slower tempo and spread the set a little more to allow more space between the dancers. But that's not to detract from the dancers who were great, despite it all!
Great performance, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Well done all, especially the lassies playing laddies - being tall I always got that role.
Altogether delightful, but not least, the footwork.
Love it!!!! 👏👏👏🎻🎼 Very well done... 👍.
So nice to see the girls in their white dresses....that was how we did it and the teacher supplied the shawls and broaches. Well done Ladies.
Beautiful dancing by the lassies .
Love from Scotland

Very nice indeed! Australia.
We did this way back in 1964 and later got married and plenty of men about then.
Joyful!
In our area, we only have one male dancer and he is not big enough to do this yet! :)
We'll allow you away with it this time. 😉
Bravo !!!
Lovely dancing perhaps the music is a bit fast
I agree with ya
Delightful.
Excellent 😊
Where's this ? Where are the men? I'm not a scot, but I love the tradition

Well done girls.
andrew kean from australia very good
When dancing reels of three you should pass with right shoulders
This particular dance you pass on both sides in the 3 person reels.
song is way to fast
It’s always a quick dance. The music really only is too fast if the dancers can’t keep up with it…. 😊
Beautiful dancing by the lassies .
