I am going to turn 67 on June 22, 2022. It’s fantastic songs like this that make me miss the good all days :-(. What more can be said except rock on! :-)
This song , if it had gotten any airplay, would've been the best anthem ever. yes and this album is so amazing. When Moog isn't fighting with Schenker magic happens but these two are destined to be at each other's throats and that tension makes for great music. *Sigh*. Schenkers playing is like having a beautiful woman that can go skanky when you need her to be that way and be an angel when you want her that way too. Oh and ofcourse she's unpredicable making you nutz and happy at the same time. At least that's how I feel when I hear him playing.
A great song, with fantastic keyboards and rhythm guitar by Paul Raymond, who sadly passed away the 13th of April 2019 and will be missed immensely. R.I.P. Paul Raymond
Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock is in full force with the album "Spirit On A Mission". There are videos for the songs "Vigilante Man" and "Live & Let Live". Meanwhile. UFO are out with their "A Conspiracy of Stars".
This song should be blasting into the galaxy and intergalactic space to fill the universe. So universal and well composed and played and sung with passion
Have been a UFO fan for over 35 years...The entire album is killer. Best album ever made by UFO. Should be inducted into the "Rock n' Roll" Hall of Fame...Eddie Trunk//"That Metal Show" > We must petiton the "RORHOF" to get them in....
There are times during the first two minutes that sound like an imminent breakout..., a taste of things to come, and then.... Schenker manages to shame an entire generation of shredders in one song.
There was a period after walk on water during the unforgiven album days when michael was alternate picking like YJM, seriously. Listen to the solos in Unforgiven they're pretty damn awesome. So it's not like he can't classically shred, he just chooses not to . The point here is that when he's with UFO he writes incredibly catchy songs and if the base is good then his solos are just that much better over that base.
Excellence in every F- - King song! I'm praying for Phil Moog, he's been told to quit touring by his doctor. His heart is in bad shape. I'm 67 and I've been a UFO jumping mother F- - ker all my life! Rock on Guys.
If you haven't already.. google "Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock" and look into what he does these days. Both tours and albums.. Don't think you'll regret it!
I grew up to UFO and then I stopped listening to them at some point my friend just turned me on to this walk on water album absolutely f****** amazing Michael Schenker is as good as any instrumental guitarist out there and this album rips
People can say what they want but Schenker and Mogg made UFO. Their best work comes when these two come together although I thought Chapman gave them a different enjoyable sound, the Schenker days were by far the best. Seen them twice lately and although he is a good player his style does not warm to the UFO sound. Michael plays with so much emotion and heart that you can't teach. He is a Genius !!!!!!!!!!!
Covenant and Sharks are very good albums also, not great like Lights Out, Force It, No Heavy Petting, Phenomenon, Obsession or Walk On Water , but still very good.
A rhythm section drilling a thousand rivets into the side of a Dreadnought. Striking assort. of acoustic chords. Suspense sustaining, Chapel-ambient keys. Face twisting, gut searing, pleading lyrics from the tortured conscience of street fighter P. Mogg...and...courtesy of M. Schenker; possibly the greatest selection of emotionally varied electric guitar phrasings ever construed in a single song, to appropriately reflect/compliment the full range of feelings presented by the accompanying words.
Dude, ive been looking for this album for long, a friend of mine made me a tape without the title;I played guitar for years but this song realy inspired me to get serious at a low point,,, thanks man
Stopped by a bullet is a unbelievable, fucken song. one of the best solos he came up with. Listen closely and youll understand. axeflyer, UFO, MSG 4 EVER. axeflyer MD.
Have seen them at House of Blues 2 out of last four years. Luv Vinnie Moore but no comparison to the late 70's early eighties Schenker and then way under rated Paul Chapman. No replacing Michael. Ever with anyone!
Oh my fuckin' God, these cats just reminded me why I LOVE UFO! I gotta listen to this track once or ten more time, WOW, now that's how you get the job done in my book!!!
The best comeback song with that typical UFO feeling - dark, melancholic, a catchy riff and a good potion of melody...Michael plays really on the top, my dear Eddie Van Halen...greetings from Hardrock Holmes
Killer album. This is one of two or three songs they played live on their reunion tour in 95 which had their classic line-up. one show turned into 5 in Chicago. Never had a bunch of late 30 somethings made so much noise.
My favourite track off an unbelievably strong album! After hearing this guitar outro for the first time I played it over and over again, cranked up to the point just before my eardrums started to bleed!!! Michael Schenker's playing on this album is truly legendary, and it is one of those times in Rock music history when it all just 'came together' to create something EPIC.
the most unheralded album (and one of its very best) in UFO'S catalouge. Why they felt the need to put remakes of doctor-doctor and lights out is beyond me as this is a super strong album with ZERO filler trax and rocks hard from beginning to end. And michael schenker is on frickin' fire, as always byt you can tell he was really into doing this recording and his chops were ready to go. If you dont have WALK ON WATER, buy it now!! You will spin it a half dozen times in a row before you stop playing it.
"Why they felt the need to put remakes of doctor-doctor (...) is beyond me (...)". I read an interview on a Brazilian heavy metal magazine in the 90's. They explained that the cover that Iron Maiden (with Blaze Bayley) recorded in '94 was so fresh and heavy that it made them want to re-record it in that fashion. And Iron Maiden's version truly awesome :-)
2 years before, in 1993, he released the first Thank You album, I just wonder which came first, I guess using the acoustic for chord progressions on that album helped him to comeout with the amazing melodies on this album... 2004 "You Are Here" album is pretty good melodically too, with Vinnie Moore
Wow , what an incredible song with such an awesome and tightly woven intensity of all these awesome and vocal instruments, by far one of the most brilliant guitar runs ever played and recorded , ... just WoW I hope all the upcoming rockers get a chance to hear and take this band to heart as i was lucky enough to do in my day, Rock on sisters and brothers.....
~UFO~ We were able to see this tour when you played at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano . Getting to meet you ALL was great as well after the show .... did seem odd that everyone in the band stayed inside to sign autographs except Michael Schenker who we got to meet at his trailer . Long Live Rock and Roll ------------
Couldn't hold back, thanks for uploading this and any UFO tunes. The vocals and lyrics are are uplifting, then you add Schenker and his flying V licks, then it's oh so close to ecstasy and I not refering to sex, just listening pleasure.
Schenker is one fire at the end of this song. No one like him just amazing
The whole album kills from start to finish.
I am going to turn 67 on June 22, 2022. It’s fantastic songs like this that make me miss the good all days :-(. What more can be said except rock on! :-)
Awesome. Best UFO track
Love Schenker, going to see him again at M15, UFO is playing 2 weeks later, I'm stoked.
One UFO to believe in🙂
Yngwie Malmsteen and Eddie Van Halen are the technical guitarists, Michael Schenker is the emotional one :-)
Man, Schenker was meant to be in UFO. And where he should have stayed.
This song , if it had gotten any airplay, would've been the best anthem ever. yes and this album is so amazing. When Moog isn't fighting with Schenker magic happens but these two are destined to be at each other's throats and that tension makes for great music. *Sigh*. Holy fuck this is good.....
This is why rock willl never die.
america radio touched this piece, just to fell to let it go and never to be heard again.what a fing crime...
A brilliant song, the ideal second track on "Side 1".
I reckon the Venus in the lyric is cocaine rather than a woman.
One of the best songs from Schenker/Mogg ever.
This song should be blasting into the galaxy and intergalactic space to fill the universe. So universal and well composed and played and sung with passion
Best reunion album of any band!
One of Schenker's many stunning performances

Peter Schopf cant agree more! 🤘
Amen bro!

UFO's Walk on Water album is a masterpiece carved in solid Hard Rock and Metal
🤘

amazing guitar sound
Being a fan from day one and from Michael Schenker, this song and album I consider it as Obsession volume 2
I cant stray away from one description I heard that also is deadly accurate. "Its a masterpiece!"
Here I am listening to this again. Nobody beats Michael.
И я слушаю! 2024 июнь.
Great Song by a great band.
I believe this band is every bit as good as Black Sabbath, jUdas Priest or any other 70s metal artist.
rock at its finest!
Esse som de 1995 da banda britânica UFO é muito bom. O solo de guitarra do Michael Schenker no final da música é um dos melhores que já ouvi.
Absolutely true, very much agree, Michael on fire!
@@ianstuart5660 Thanks

what do you think of those 2 lame albums that followed?
Covenant and Sharks are very good albums also, not great like Lights Out, Force It, No Heavy Petting, Phenomenon, Obsession or Walk On Water , but still very good.

Just great guitars solos and an incredible song. I think one of the best UFO albums.

Cracking album. Back to riffage
