Naja die Informationen in Skydemon für die Bahamas sind sehr spärlich. Zum groben Navigieren genügt es, aber die meisten kleinen Plätze sind nicht eingezeichnet. Foreflight bietet für die Bahamas deutlich mehr Details. Wir haben Foreflight im Hintergrund offen gehabt und bei Bedarf nachgesehen. (Ich bin mit Foreflight nicht so vertraut wie mit Skydemon)
I’m actually suprised the place looked relatively maintained after all these years , i often tell stories of flying in and out of Nassau Airport years ago when i had to go push a set of Stairs to the Airplane and help. the workers. unload baggage so i could carry my Luggage off the property it alaways reminded me of flying in and out of Key West Airport years ago where i’ve Carried my Luggage from the Terminal out to the Airplane and Stowed it myself
Normans Cay is part of my mental life. I had lived a several experiences that sooner or later I will live and feel physically. I was part of Carlos Lehder life in the time he was in the island. Everything was quite different and normal and it wasn"t like has been told with full of life. Normans Cay was and is a true paradise!

Ich war mal auf den Bermudas zum Fuel stop, dort habe ich auch einen der besten Burger meines Lebens gegessen.. 😋Der Bär ist ein absolutes muss für meine kleine.. Da hat sie sich riesig gefreut als der mit dem Headset zusammen vom Christkind kam.. 🤗Am Montag geht´s mit ihr in deine Nachbarschaft nach Gmunden..😎

Danke Chris. Die Umwandlung hab ich vorweg in Europa gemacht über einen Zoom call mit einem DPE/US-Prüfer. Vor Ort in Florida hab ich dann mit einem Fluglehrer einen Checkflug gemacht. Hi Carlos, there is a detailed list what you need to do when entering/leaving the Bahamas. Everything is on the list, except that we had to pay 50 USD in cash when we entered the Bahamas: whitecrownaviation.net/bcustoms.html If you have enough time and nerves to fill out all the forms I highly recommend it. It is an experience you will never forget.

Hi, yes thats correct, they asked us for around $200. We negotiated and because we also had lunch at the restaurant they said this time it’s free but next time we have to pay. Really a pity, it would be such a beautiful airfield, but that just discourages.
Some atc do speak extremely fast, every time I meet one I joke with them about it, lately at least at the airport I fly from they start slowing down, I guess it also depends the traffic volume they have at the moment.
Absolutely! At Nassau Approach and Nassau Tower it was insane (video part 6), for me it was hard to understand as I am not used to this dialect. But of course they are very professional and used to a lot of traffic.
