When you start a plant from seed indoors (before the first frost), you can get a warming mat to help raise the temperature of the soil.
Likewise, the same could be said for your online seeds. Warm them up, watch them come out, thin out the bad ones, and let the strong ones survive.
If you don't want to start from seed, just pull a Mattek and take a cutting from an existing plant, stick it in soil and grow it from there without attributing where you got it from.
There would be nothing better than SocrDave winning the cash
mooncats down so bad you are entering giveaways
Don’t let him win! You know Kitchen’s blowing it on Mooncats and Willis jerseys. Like 10 of each since they hold literally no value right now.
Make own compost from kitchen scraps. Lettuce, egg shells, strawbbery tops, apple cores. Mix with dry dead leaves, airate and water. No meats, bones or milk/cheese...that invites wild life.
i want to be a home for wild life
Some veggies actually grow UNDER the dirt. Wild stuff. Don't forget about these ones when crafting your overall strat.
mind blown
Love this so much. The ending of Pete at the farm was incredible. My best farming tip is be willing to experiment, to research, and even interact with other farmers to help your farm grow.
thanks willis, good advice
I'm 61 and I have seen engagement farmers come and I've seen them go for 6 decades now. The ones that lasted, the ones that excelled and thrived and exemplified what we all take as the best that engagement farming can be? A nice hat.
nice to have someone with experience weigh in...ty mike
A great way to see what plants may be suitable for your area is to use the US Soil Survey provided by the government so see your silt, sand and clay breakdown and determine what plants will work best with the combination of climate and soil
need to get my hands on that survey
My last comment didn’t save evidently but according to google, to be a successful farmer :“Effective communication, coaching and compassion are vital to motivating helpers to produce efficiently.”
You’re already doing all those things for the community bud. You rugged us, you’re already a successful engagement farmer.
i would never rug anyone, only fertilize
Great video. This could’ve been a segment on last week tonight. Also, I love the drive by on spags DMs. Definitely do more of that when farming!
he's committed to the farming bit
Amazing video. Farming tip: If you want the prize winning veggies make sure to piss yellow on them for the first six or seven rounds after planting.
beautiful advice
real farming - creating a symbiotic balance with insects and micro-organisms to make a nutrient rich soil for plant growth.
engagement farming - creating a prompt that compels people to respond to signal: 1) group membership, 2)that they are right/funny, 3) that their response is necessary/unique.
In this ecosystem I guess that'd make Underdog the Monsanto.
ill have to chew on that comp
Very experienced farmer here (my grandma had me dig the holes when she planted flowers). Putting my hands in the dirt at such a young age was invaluable as a I grew into a hard working Hand-Builder. Without that work ethic I'd probably be just another lazy opto bro
they don't know what hard work is
Make sure you say “let’s grow together!” often, so people know it’s not just about you! You reap what you sow and stuff. May your legacy be as plentiful as this falls’ harvest!
LET'S GROW TOGETHER
it's true, we had the baby just for Twitter likes and cameos in short form videos on Pete's spinoff channels. it's a relief to admit it out loud
glad you finally admit it
My farming related advice is to build a model with projections on which fruits and vegetables are going to smash in the near future. Maybe have that model take all sorts of data like soil type, popularity, google search queries and opportunity cost.
good call
My best farming tip is stay patient and keep working. Remember that there’s more to it than just planting seeds and it takes time for them to sprout and grow.
patience is key
This is the good stuff. My grandpa always says “patience is a virtue”. Rings true with farming that sweet, sweet engagement. Keep planting those seeds!
long way to go, but an auspicious start
It’s helpful to have a loyal farm hand by your side. Someone who’s there to engage with your farm while you’re out milking the bbm3 cow.
love milking the bbm cow
I refuse to tell you something like "if you wonder if you watered enough, you haven't" because that is the exact type of engagement you want from this!
ty for reluctantly engaging w me
I believe it’s important when farming to always show more skin and showing off your dance moves could not hurt
suns out farmers tan out
The best farming tip ever given to me was to ensure the soil you seed is on your land. No going to your neighbor's farm and spreading your seed on their soil. You keep that seed to you and your beloved. No other farmers wife should be propositioned with your seed. If you keep your seed to your soil, you should have no problems making those other farmer wives jealous of your wife, your soil, and most importantly, your seed. h/t
im a monogamous farmer
This is my first year with a big time garden and I am realizing you have to make sure you time your crops (or tweets) properly. Too early or too late and you won't get that sweet, sweet payoff.
words of wisdom thanks
Hay there!
I herd engagement farmers can earn decent celery that's truly hard to beet. One thing you want to do is to tend to the sheep. Plant the seed in their mind that growth comes once you crop out the missed steaks.
Good duck, I hope you will be able to move pasture beefs and thrive.
some will say this was corny, but not me
from google... What do farmers need to be successful? The successful farmer still needs to have a love of the land, and practical experience, and plenty of courage and determination. Do you love your land mr overzet???
i love it so much
Hi Pete, great to see you getting into farming. My tip would be don’t be afraid to buy some worms and grubs to make your soil fertile and bountiful. The larger the produce you grow the less seeds you have to plant.
love worms
Best farming tip I can give is put out a tweet with top 5 XYZ then make four of them normal rankings with one of them absurd. Nothing the internet loves more than correcting someone
i need to try this
Prepping the soil for planting is very important. Working aged animal manure or organic compost into the soil can help your corn grow faster than your RUclips impressions from this engagement farming. 🌽📈
manure plays well on Twitter
And remember an important tax deduction to consider is the section 179 deduction. According to this rule, up to $1,050,000 of farm purchases in a given year can be deducted.
love tax deductions
Have a strategy for critters that will eat your livelihood. Whatever pest control works. If you have to take out a few critters to scare aware the other ones so be it but protect the harvest!
hate critters
Pete, you’re definitely engaging but I worry about your farming chops. Maybe look to the city life for its version of engagement. Taking the Engagement train? Engagement hustling? Engagement tollway? Just spit-balling here. 😁
i try not to flaunt my farming skills
Best farming tip is to get a lot of kids so they can help you maintain the land and maintain your families legacy. I heard from Davis that Avocados are the best to grow. 😂
This video is pure fire!
im farming for my future children
When gardening in containers, put holes in bottom to let water out and avoid over-watering.
i over watered on twitter and lost some followers 😥
Location matters. Since you can influence and thought lead remotely, my tip is that you relocate to Mesopotamia and build your farmhouse on the fertile crescent to ensure optimal engagement potential.
mesopotamia sounds lovely
A good farmer is nothing more than a handyman with a good sense of humus
hummus you say
Utilizing analystics is helpful for farming, especially catering to seasonal based ideas
i need a data scientist on my farm team
All a plant needs is water, sunlight and soil. Seems pretty easy if you ask me.
i wish it were that easy
good soil, good seed, plenty of water and fertilizer. pretty simple if you ask me.
ez game
Great farmers follow this process. Rotate your crops - crop your photos - photo your rotators. Repeat.
hate it when ppl dont crop their photos
Great video. Plant the seeds now so engagement will come as long as long as u water.
water is important
farming tip - Seed Selection
When selecting and arranging the purchase of seeds for your chosen crop, you’ll need to consider their suitability to your land and climate. How much water they’ll require for growth is another important aspect.
ty
Pete always remember you can’t just worry about the top soil like GM! Tweets. You need to care for that deep soil for the highest yields…
low hanging fruit
That trash can troll 😂. I almost feel the same way though. $25 entries is tough, especially when DraftKings has $3 best ball entries. I'm loyal to Underdog though for best ball. And tip: your labor will never see results unless you're consistent (even if you're consistently bad lol). Also, don't overwater or flood your soil, meaning don't have paragraphs of information that can bog people down while reading it. You want information to flow smoothly and have it be concise and to the point.
keep your eyes on the prize, William
My birthday is May 24th so I will spend my bday at the club.
Tip- just tweet anything about zero-RB or that bye weeks don't matter.
so keep doing what im doing?? got it...& happy bday
I keep a statue of St. Isidore in my garden. In the Christian faith, San Isidore, also known as Saint Isidore the Farmer, is the patron saint of farmers, peasants, day laborers, and agriculture in general. His feast day is coming up may 15th, although many celbrate May 9th alongside the NFL schedule release
amen
You got to post some top QB rankings with a couple questionable takes. Herbert over Mahomes or maybe Dak outside the top 15 will get you started. You can do this!
ooo good call
Every good engagement farmer knows the key is to ask open ended questions where you don’t really care about the answer…Jack has it down good with the “what is the point of life” question.
a powerful question
Make sure to water with Brawndo. Brawndo's got what plants crave. It's got electrolytes.
is it organic
@@DepositKingdom It’s got what plants crave.
1:53 am is the best time to comment for engagement but also plant any nocturnal plants. can’t wait for u to like n comment back for even more engagement 🍀🔁
you predicted the future
Boil pasta in water before mixing with red sauce
big if true
The trick is to thread your crops very carefully. You want to bait your seeds into continuing through each layer of soil. Just make sure you force each time zone to see your progress, so you can help more farmers along the way.
im gonna repost this video once a day
@@DepositKingdom most successful farmers implement this twice every six hours. You would be surprised the plants you can grow with no sunlight.
How do you choose what type of farm you want to start?
If you want more of a passive type of farm you might want to choose just cash crops. On the other hand, if you want a farm which requires constant work, perhaps a dairy farm is more what you are looking for.
constant work sounds hard but fulfilling
As a fair-skinned farmer, keep in mind the perils of farmer's tan. Northing worse than showing up shirtless to the pool with the boys and hearing "Hey Overzet - take your shirt off and jump in." With this new lifestyle, you'll be having a GM before those city slickers even open their laptop.
small price to pay as a farmer
Don't forget to water the crops! Enjoy the community gardenings you have established, and let us be a part of the content! Hopefully, you will set the Guinness World Record for growing the most significant eggplant one day. Did you know the world's heaviest eggplant is 6 pounds and 14 ounces?
an eggplant man who loves double ds
@@DepositKingdom Thinking about talking with an orthopedic. These USFL SD Streets are starting to question my endurance as a hand builder.
My farming tip is simple, give your plants lots of sun. For engagement farming, hot takes = sun
good tip
If you make crop circles you will get other influencers to visit like they did with area 51 and this will certainly increase your audience and lead to engagement like you’ve never seen before.
crop circles. genius
A smart farmer maximizes the land for profit. Crops growing and leasing the surrounding woods to hunters. 2 incomes and the hunters remove those animals from eating your crops. Always look for multiple income streams using the same content 🤘
i posted this on tiktok thx
This video is so fucking good. I believe Machiavelli said it best when he said that engagement that is easy to get is difficult to retain but engagement that is difficult to get is easy to retain.
powerful. will be chewing on that tonight along w a piece of straw
You need to make sure you seem sincere enough to ask something incredible stupid and obvious, but not to the point that the people who have large reaches can tell and won't engage and miss out on a juicy positive feedback loop. hope that helps.
it does ty
The comment to viewer ratio is supreme on this video. That's a great sign for your future in farming 🌽 🥔 I think you have a bright future ahead
i dont care about views. only engagement
Farming Tip: Similar to a healthy best ball breakfast, don't forget a morning coffee for you and your crop. Studies show coffee can act as a strong fertilizer substitute for those other TOXIC methods of engagement farming
i hate toxicity...in my soil and in my communities
A great farming tip is to retweet the best answers to your open ended questions incessantly so that they flood your followers feeds, making them more inclined to engage
good idea
Sometimes there's a man. And I'm talking about Pete here. Sometimes, there's a man, well he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's Pete in the Twitter community. And even if he's a lazy engagement farmer - and Pete is most certainly that. Quite possibly the laziest engagement farmer on Twitter. But sometimes there's a man, sometimes there's a man... Aw! I lost my train of thought here. But... aw, hell. I've done introduced him enough.
When it comes to farming, don't be fatuous, Pete. You must farm with earnest!
i promise to farm in earnest after im done paying people to engage w me
63 comments already. Crushing it. I think you might have just found the secret to farming. Always make people think in some way there is a chance they will get $.
and threads...always need more threads
i pay for engagement
Proper pest management is critical to maximizing yield.
so many got damn critters
to most ppl, it’s dirt. to the farmer, it’s opportunity.
poetic
Per Elon, this is now illegal. Cease and desist Peter.
he played right into my hands
Remember don't plant anything until after memorial day could get a freak frost and ruin all your crops
freak frost is the name of my david bowie cover band
My farming tip is to water the plants. Few understand this.
good call
The best farmers don't overthink it. They go out day in and day out trying to farm the perfect crop until one day they manage to find the golden/spirit beanz.
i need to get out of my head & just farm
In my experience the best way to farm is to wake up ear(of corn)ly and get yourself a calf einated coffee. Listen to the pour then put on your beets by Dre and unwrap a jolly rancher because unhappy ranchers are bad farmers. Start the video and make sure you are not speaking udder nonsense because your neigh bor might be listening. My top suggestion is to be a scarecrow, outstanding in your field, and you should be good.
lots to unpack here
Good shit Pete. My tip is to listen to socrdave. Now that’s a dude that knows how to engagement farm
the best of the best
Potatoes grow underground. Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they aren't there
big if true
@@DepositKingdom I going mining for potatoes all the time. Big Trust
Heart is the key to a good farmer, the only way to be in touch with the crops is by being in touch with your heart. This applies to all walks of life. Water without heart crops don’t grow. Water with heart beats any fertilizer in the world.
Good luck to you partner,
-TopFarmer
i hadn't considered this, ty. powerful words
Farming tip: Work smarter not harder by plagiarizing content that went viral 30+ days ago. You'll get enough engagement from those believing it's original to bury those whining about it being a repost.
Or, you know...call on the rain by dancing like that guy in the Skrillex & Damien Marley music video, Make It Bun Dem. ruclips.net/video/KhAOYTCFzDo/видео.html
why reinvent the wheel
Healthy Soil. It all starts with that foundation... you might need to do some tests to make sure it is healthy. If it isn't, you made need to mix in some manure and other fertilizers.
appreciate this. i forgot to test
Make sure the soil has enough nutrients in the ground. Also feed the plants water and not an energy drink.
shit, no wonder this gatorade hasnt been doing anything for my corn
Best of luck, Pete. I’m from Nebraska and I know that the key to a successful farm is efficient irrigation. If you are in need of a center pivot I can hook you up.
nebraska? sounds beautiful
Brilliant video. Best tip I can give is dont be afraid to use Google. No shame in the farming game.
Google is how I found my mentor, Lother

If you are not screaming at your crops for at least 2 hours a day they will never have the motivation to reach their true potential. Tough love for those damn cherry tomatoes.
i need to do more motivational speeches
Give the crops plenty of sun and water......not sure how this relates to Twitter, but you'll figure it out. 🚀🚀🚀🚀
i will, i must
Great video. Only engagement farming tip I have is do not engage with the farmers daughter.
that's a no no
We have a saying in Afghani that farmers will go to heaven directly because their produce is shared by insects in the field, birds in the trees, domestic animals at home and strangers, walking pedestrians and by the public at large when the produce reaches markets and sometimes abroad like seasonal groceries and fruits .
But our experience as agricultural states are not good because foremostly neither farming is mechanised nor have any governmental support and therefore are confronting traditional disorder due to their lying scattered in rural areas which seems to be a conspiracy against us being intentionally subjected to this horrible state since last many centuries. Here 80% people are engaged in farming but yet people are experiencing life far worst than stone ages which had no such problems of food shortages.
🤝
To be a successful farmer one must cultivate the commuuunity
we love the farming commuuuunity
Don’t drink the milk straight from the cow, as tempting as it may be.
why buy the cow when you can drink straight from it for free
Random Farming tip: If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging
smart
Don’t forget to balance out your range with some really dumb hot takes and not allow replies. It will make your farmees value their input that much more when it is actually allowed
wow, so turning off replies as a ways to making them engage MORE when you turn it back on. genius
@@DepositKingdom yeah see you get it
Water-saving irrigation practices should be at the forefront of farming. A drought will ruin any crops or Twitter handle. Had a summer job putting in a new sprinkler system to reduce water consumption on a farm. Did you know that it requires 4 litres of water to make a single litre of beer? Who doesn't enjoy a nice glass of water or beer after a hot day outside engagement farming? To quote legendary pass rusher Bobby Boucher "That is some high-quality H2O."
water is key, ty for this reminder
“Farming looks mighty easy when your plow is a pencil and you’re a thousand miles from the cornfield.”
- Dwight D. Eisenhower.
inspiring
I have to second Lother's suggestion and I think you need to find an Amish person on social media and hope they will mentor you in the art of farming.
lother is full of wisdom
Advice: halla at my dude Manz. I hear he taking it step further and jumping to "thought farming" he also thinking bout bringing back the Broathalon. It could be so much bigger... now that he in with all the dfs celebs..could have big name teams..ETR vs Awesemo vs Run pure vs 4for4 vs Underdog vs FTN .splashplay..Lolz Labs...etc etc...all them boys.. this would get yuuuge....and everyone can farm together while competing ..but losing to the Manz of course
that event could farm some serious engagement
The trick is to set it and forget it. The sun, rain, and algorithm will do the rest.
trust the algo
the key to farming is to not wear any clothes under your overalls, like tim smith on moonshiners
did you rent seek two comments, buckets?
Move to La Junta, grow 9 or so mellons to sell on the side of the road for farmer cred (10 is proven to be lower EV), and visit other Southern Colorado cities aloofly evaluating their local vermicelli for yet another RUclips channel. Keep the overalls, of course.
i sleep in the overalls
@@DepositKingdom Can I also add that the fact that this objectively amazing video only has triple-digit views takes this into next-level meta territory?
Farming tip: come up with the worst FF takes possible and twitter will put you top of the algo
