My Dad was a farmer, my Mother had the traditional role of a housewife raising 2 kids, cooking 3 meals a day, doing laundry and cleaning house. Except that Mom also had 300 chickens which she fed and watered twice a day, gathered the eggs they layed, washed and packed them for sale. She also planted a garden, watered and weeded it, harvested and canned/froze enough vegetables to last a family of four for a whole year. During haying season she was called on to stack a few hundred 70 lb bales of hay in the barn but otherwise did little of the actual farming. In the evenings she would sew, crochet and quilt to keep her hands busy. Mom is approaching 102 years of age now and although she can't do all those physical things she can still tell you which garden seeds grow best, how to plant them, when to pick tomatoes to ripen on your windowsill, how to pickle cucumbers and ferment sauerkraut.
Farm women are tough.
Legendary. This reminds of my great grandmother. Raised 10 kids in a tiny granary while her husband broke the land eventually owning 1000 acres and many grandchildren. She is gone now was a straight arrow till the last hours.
George Treasure that woman with the time you have left with her as no other woman like her exists on all of planet earth.
Yes they are
I bet she cooked some fantastic meals
Seriously…
What was she doing with REST of her time ? 😉
Laura's note to self: Keep a bucket on the planter.
Laura note to self: Always go with your first instinct and don't double guess. Should have just opened the bag in the first place.
Laura’s note to self: one new bag of seed is worth an hour of your time and two climbs into the seed bin. 👍🏻
Na get one of those dust collectors they use to sweep floors at mc ds
I remember TV first came out all those dials and antenna to adjust. You are assume, at home in the tractor.
Laura, thanks for all the trouble you go to to create these videos for us!
videos? how about all the food that she create? less important , right?
@@BOB-eb8xz And the tons of money generated from the videos !
Umm ? You don’t think she’s not making bank off them ??? More like thanks for growing out food we eat . Thanks for that !
She gets money for videos and food she grows - thank you for spending your time looking at a pretty girl in unusuall enviroment so she can make money from videos.

Laura, you are a breath of fresh air compared to some of the scripted channels! You’re so up front with your and Grant’s life on the farm. After watching the episode with the $1,000,000 expenses I wished I could of given you the million subscribers! Thank you!
Hi Laura, I'm sure you have done your research on the talc and graphite powder you use with your planter. But some products can have some long-term side effects from being exposed to the dust. I just bring this up because when you get in the seed compartment there is always a lot of dust. So maybe think about wearing a mask in those confined spaces with any dust, your lungs will thank you one day. Always love your videos.
In addition to the many wonderful things you are, you are also entertaining. I have started thinking of you and Grant as the "power couple" of modern farmers. Cheers.
Do you want to have a farm life like them?
I think Zack and Becky hold that title for now.

You are so amazing, both of you :) I am 46 years old from Denmark, I had 5 brain operations over the last 20 years, and cant work anymore.. :/ I enjoy these videos alot.. thx for making them.. all the best from me, hope you get all the water you need at the right time :D
👍👍👍👍👍
@@shedlighter1092 Its a "good" kind of tumor, located a bad place, very close to the brain stem.. it not only have normal mass to it, but also have fluid like a water cyst, and you would normally help this with a drain, and i do have one, but it isnt doing well because the water cyst part is not one big room with all the fluid, but alot of small rooms with fluid making it much harder to drain..
I am not to smart with all this, i know a little about what is going on, but nothing near what i maybe should know.. and part of this is also that something happend to my sleep center or whatever its called, i have almost no good deep/rem sleep anymore.. so i am super tired all the time, the reason i cant work.. i also have alot of headache.. But the good news is that it has been a good amount of years since i was under the knife last :) but the bad sleep is hard on me.. really hard, i tryed all sort of sleep apnea machines, like c-pap, bi-pap and asv, and nothing works for me sadly, even sleep tests show my AHI is over 100 :S its like i have central sleep apnea, where when i enter any form for deep sleep i stop breathing for 40 seconds, and then wakes up so much i start breathing again.. i dont remember i wake up, so i can think i slept for x-hours, but it did nothing for me..
Sorry, i always talk too much.. I am only telling you because you asked, last thing i want is anyone feeling sorry for me, because we all have our problems in life, i try to focus on what i have, and not what i cant have.. i will never lose hope in finding something that can help me.. until then i am happy for videos like this that can make me focus on something else a bit :)
@@muttleydk Can't think of anyone better than Laura to brighten a grey day. Best wishes for your health from New Zealand.
@@darylneal989 Thank You. Laura is so amazing yes!
I used to live in Aalborg for Uni, love Danmark and the people. I miss it, some day ill be back tho!
That is why you have the Guns Laura the Delts and the Bi's are SOLID!!!!! You have a built in Gym on the farm!!!!!
Planting the last field or even the last pass is a feeling nobody can feel unless you've do it yourself. I planted over a hundred and fifty thousand acres in my 56 years of planting so just keep up the great work and videos
Mr Grant is so lucky to have someone like you that likes to farm, y'all are truly blessed to have this modern technology on board.
Grant knows what's up when he films!👌
Side note! Get a God damn small buckle screwed to the end of a broom stick to even out the seeders.
Or even better. You have milwaukee batteries. Get a battery power milwaukee shop vac and use that. Suck, empty, repeat.
And keep a mask on board at all times. I'm 9000% certain, graphite is not meant for your lungs. You may laugh because I remember being your age = nothing can touch you. But EVERYTHING you do today, adds up later in life!
Grew up a farm boy in Western NY state. No technology back then. Times have changed. Love these videos.
Thanks again for sharing your life with us. Hope you and Grant have a great crop.
I, too, hope for a bountiful harvest for every farmer in the United States.
I just got done planting sweet corn on my acreage 4ft x 4ft Couldn't quite get the 60 row planter in there but I got it done
Laura it’s been a while since I watched the videos. Mom had a stroke and well. It’s nice to see the positivity you and Grant put out. Thank you both for farming and being a positive role model to all. We need more like you. God Bless!
I watch you, but your smile, Laura, and joy blow me away. Regards.
I am 58 years old and grew up in GI. Now live in Lincoln and until I started watching your videos, I had no idea what farming was really like. Hope you got rain Monday.
Best video yet! The reality of farming and the hard work it demands. Hope you had a nice lunch and short rest.
Proud you backed a trailer in a banana shaped direction, go Laura go
I love your videos. Grant and you are so amazing. Thanks for sharing your life with us
I sure love watching Laura farm 😊 Keep up the great work guys !
Great job with the seed. Sometimes taking a chance works & sometimes it don't. 👍🚜🚜🚜
Great to see you guys at work again! Always have fun watching you!! Learn a lot!!😊
Congratulations on your completion! Always a great feeling.
Great job Laura x
Great job! Good luck with the rest of it!
Laura, you are one tough girl. I could tell you were very frustrated, but you held your composure. Job well done!!!
Just amazed at the support equipment you have - makes farming life livable - Kudos
Keep up the hard work, appreciate the effort you two put forward...
Its really cool to see you and Grant working together on a common purpose.
Thanks for showing us the technical, and congratulations on your completion!!!
It amazes me to see how far you have come with operating the tele handler let alone all the equipment since you’ve started yt
You are so amazing. Thank you for all you and Grant do. Keep up the great work.
You are such a trooper Laura, you are loved by many
Who knew that we were going to get to see a gun show and a farm show all in one! When you work hard you have to fuel the body with enough calories to maintain the needed energy for the muscles. Keep the snacks and farming coming!
“I’ll just go grab the Telehandler” (No problem, since she can literally drive anything! 😅) Holy Buckets, Girl! How many different kinds of machinery did you just work in this video? I feel accomplished just knowing I can open and shut my own car door. You lift 60 lb bags like I manage to lift my purse! 😮 When I say you are Supergirl, I’m not kidding. 🤩 I cringe every time you crawl inside those “bean holders” 🫣
Great video, awesome Farmer ❤
Yes, Awesome Farmer, Awesome Granddaughter!! Every video Laura makes is so interesting & educational. I love when she explains all the amazing technology she has! Laura is such a special young lady to all 438,000 of her Fans! We wish her & Grant a great year farming and success always ❤🚜❤
Decisions to open another bag of seed is a tough one when there is a chance you can make it to end of feild! Definitely understood seed is Expensive!!
Thanks For Sharing Your Dusty Day With Us All!!

Another enjoyable video presented by a lovely person! 😁
I sure hope that your effort and patience are blessed. And pay off enormously at the time of harvest. 😊
Thank You for your videos. Super Job. 👍👍👍
At the end of this you sounded like you had just HAD IT and you really needed a few words of encouragement and a big hug!🤗
Laura, Im a new subscriber. Do mot stop the videos, I love watching the farming.
Loved the video!!
Congrats on finishing planting Laura and Grant! Will be great to see you working with Cale again should you end up helping your dad finish planting.
Laura / Grant - look at your last video with my comment about using a cyclone dust collector to load seed into your hoppers. it's a life saver.
I've never watched one of your videos before. Thank you! Interesting stuff. Thanks for helping to feed the world.
Laura keep up the great work that you and grant do ,farming is very hard work and is also very rewarding, love the videos.
Laura, it is good to see that you are learning the art of problem salving
Great work, you two 🥰
I love watching your videos and now I know why I was drawn to your channel. When you were showing us your snacks and you had two orange rolls I knew we would always have a strong connection. My mother would make my brothers and sister and me orange rolls on Sunday mornings as a special treat.
You are a great inspiration to many I'm sure. You are a hard and dedicated farmer as well.
I am thankful to God for what you and your husband are doing. The two of working together in a partnership doing the hard work of farming in a rural setting. Your are role models, I praise God for what you are doing. Also your videos are fun watch. Finally hello from a second generation swede My father's parent emigrated from Stockholm area as indentured servant. Once they fulfilled there contract they met hand a family of four. I was the second grandchild. I member my grandmother Carlson with her gray hair braided and on top of her head. My parents are with the lord. I am now a grandfather (papa) to three grandsons (5, 10, and 12) they come over every Friday afternoon and stay for dinner. My daughter and son in law then can have time together.
Go get ‘em girl. Not in the plan for the day, but you survived. Good job!
need a portable shopVac to suck out the seeds to transfer them over. Great videos keep up the great work Laura and Grant
Missed your happy wave at the end of this vid but that's understandable when you're hungry, tired and ready for a break. Congrats on finishing your beans! May you get the rain that you need and not have to turn on any pivots.
Awesome narrative, great video. Thanks Laura (and Grant) …. greetings from 🇬🇧
Really enjoy this channel. Laura you’re a real dedicated hard worker. I can’t believe the technology in farming. I know that probably comes with a cost, but I learned long time ago that knowledge and the right tools get the job done best and easiest.
good morning Laura and good time to get that planting done
You two are some hard workers!!
I had to visit western Iowa to manage IT for hospitals. Being from the Detroit area, I was totally unprepared for the wind and wide open fields going forever. Unfortunately those cold, blowing winds of winter were more than I could handle. Also so many small towns for a guy born and raised in the big city. Everyone knew everyone family. Those below zero blowing winds are memories I’ll never forget.
hi guys from australia..im loving your videos . there that good im sure i can smell the freshly turned soil from here .im amazed at how much farming has changed in 30 years .
Good thing you fit into that seed tank .
I wonder if people realize just how hard working a couple you and Grant are. I I don’t know of very many women who would put in the hard work that you do, congratulations on being great example to young women everywhere, love your channel from the west coast of Canada 🇨🇦
Great video!
That's very good vidéo ,I am french.
Thanks Laura 👍
You have some great Pipes!! Loved when you flexed! My grandparents farmed in North Dakota and my dad helped them until he was 18. I spent a lot of time growing up hunting and fishing out there. Your videos bring back so many memories. And the technology now is so impressive. Thanks for showing the work, and risk, that goes into our food chain!
Thanks for all your hard work. No farmers no food.
We typically see end result of your work it’s nice to see behind the scenes.
"Every day is something new"...the richest advice given!
Thank you Miss Laura, you and Grant show us the honesty of working hard for the benefit of everyone else.
Truly American at its finest.
I’ve been watching a lot of these planting videos…found myself looking at the Precision Planter screen in the background of the shot to be sure everything was on track!
I love work, I could watch it all day! 😅😆😁😉
Nebraska! Ive been watching on and off for years, I had no idea. Population 1.946Million. This explains the lack of noise :) Beautiful & productive place, and at least 2 great people. Keep up the good work and thankyou.
If you think Nebraska is productive, you should see Iowa. In Iowa, we get 40 bushel to the acre if we don’t plant anything. 😉
*Smiles* When I get done watching one of you and videos, I feel as if I could come to your or any farm and help with little or no supervision. That how well you explain what you and Grant are doing. And I am Calif city boy! Well done, Young Lady, VERY well done!
And thank you for sharing your life with us.
Hang in there Sunshine! There are days like this in every job. You and Grant make it look easy!
To see and listen to someone who knows what they are talking about is a joy. ❤ her
I really enjoy watching your videos, as an old farm boy the newer equipment is amazing
Me too!!!
2" and climbing....flooding in some areas
Really enjoy all your videos.... We lived in GI from 1981 to 2020
Hello, good luck in the works, again wishes from Lithuania 🇱🇹
Bonjour a vous deux bon courage pour les semis
Laura love your snack's can never go wrong with snack's in the tractor do gotta say have never heard of an orange roll but they look soooo good 😊
Choices, choices. Sometimes we make the right ones, sometimes not. 😀 Loved this video of you keeping it real. 👊
Laura, you have developed a real talent as an educator. This has become my favorite channel. A question for you: if the pivot is immobilized by an underground control wiring issue, is it an option to run a temporary line above ground to enable moving the pivot so you can plant?
Laura, hard luck, you almost got it right the first time you transferred seed from one tank to the other. You had to use another bag after all, 60lbs was more than I thought they were.
Love from Mike. ❤
I figured they were over half your body weight
Next time haul the forklift on Grant’s new trailer to the planter and use it to lift the pallet of seeds to fill the planter. You have the machinery, save both of your backs. 👍❤️😎✌️
I live in Missouri..seems like the Wind is blowing all the time too.....Laura
Laura, hello from the island of Trinidad and Tobago, I came across your channel and must say it's a pleasure to watch you do chores. I do farming but not on your scale, you guys work well together and I appreciate what you are doing and what I'm learning. Now let me go and hit the beach.
My uncle, who farmed dairy for 80 years, akways had a bucket with a lid on his tractor....inside the bucket were gloves, hat, t-shirt, flashlight, pliers, knife, mini sledge, screw driver, canteen of water, and a trowel. I swear he could do almost anything with that kit. Hope yall have an amazing year
Awesome video ❤😊
Good work!
