My wife and I are from Omaha. Even though we live on Long Island, Ny. We Nebraskans at heart. We watch all your videos. And yes. We know where we will be when we die. We will look for your grandpa in heaven. God bless you.
I'm a 65 year old farmer who's had trouble crying for several years. I cried throughout the video. I've missed that. The harder the grief is just a testament of your love . Has to be your best video. I like your character and integrity. All my best
Don’t know how you pulled that off Laura without balling all the way through this video. I’m a 70 year old man that has been following your channel for close to two years. I couldn’t stop crying the whole way. Sending my prayers for your family.
Rest in Peace Papa Curt. I am so sorry for your loss but I hope you can take some small comfort in knowing you honor his legacy every day of your life.
Life is like a book and every day a page will turn so he always watching and he love you always like Christ my mom died from cancer but she was a lovely person and a great mother god bless
I'm so so sorry for your loss... We on your channel can tell the kind of man he was by your work ethics and morals. He taught you well. Continue to live his legacy, and be the wonderful hard working person you are. You and Grant are the example that every teen/20 something needs to emulate. The world would be so much better if they did...
I met Curt at a pole vault event in Aurora. I was wearing my AKRS John Deere shirt and we struck up a conversation. He asked me if I'd heard about his optimistic granddaughter Laura. I had not and he proudly told me about you and your You Tube channel Laura Farms. I've been watching your videos ever since. He was a great guy and will be missed!
Unbelievable. I can't watch beyond minute 3 cause I'm balling my eyes out over people I've never nor will ever meet. It is a testament to the positive impact you have made in this world and I'm sure he was so proud of you as a generational farmer and the amazing person you grew to be. Our prayers are with you and your family.
What a wonderful tribute to you grandfather. The memory of the just is blessed. Proverbs 10:7. I am a Vietnam veteran and remember the SeaBees when I was there. My dad was a Navy SeaBee during WWII in the South Pacific, building roads and airstrips. I'm glad to say that my father was a believer, and so am I, 2 Timothy 1:12 My life verse." God will wipe all tears from their eyes and there will be no more death". Revelations 21:3 Isaiah 25:8 "Soon and very soon we are going to see the King", and Papa Curt.
I am a grandfather also. Let me assure you that there are an extremely few events in a man’s life that are anywhere close to having your granddaughter give you a hug and say I love you! You have done well.
I’m sorry that your grandfather passed away. God must have needed another farmer in heaven. Just know that you didn’t loose him. He will live on in your memories that you two made. I’m sure he is bragging to all his friends in heaven about his granddaughter following in his footsteps. I’m 70 and still miss my father. I can tell you for sure that the pain will eventually end and the memories will always be there and make you smile. You will find that through your everyday life, little things will show up and you will know he is still here watching over you. God Bless you and your family.
The ending of the video was absolutely priceless !! From someone that slowly lost each one of my grandparents, then a beloved uncle and then my mother.... The only thing that can help is time. Do whatever you need to do to work through the process. We will all be here when you're ready.
Your character is one that we need more of in this world. Know you can carry Papa Curts legacy, and it’ll be shared with the entire world. He’s damn proud of you, and so are we.
Lost my dad many years ago. With so much that went on the following days, I really never thought much about it. I was driving back to work when it hit me that it would be a long time before I can talk to him again. 😥 RIP dad.
It must be so consoling to you to know that your grandfather is in heaven. We grieve, but not like those who have no hope. God bless you and comfort you. Keep sharing your faith.
Laura, it's hard to put into words how I feel about this amazing and very personal tribute you put together for all of us to share with you. To be able to speak about your memories, thoughts and raw emotions at such an incredibly difficult time is unparalleled. You're such a strong, positive spirit and I just want you to know that I, and the thousands and thousands of other caring "strangers" here on the channel, wish your entire family nothing less than our deepest condolences and our unwavering spiritual support for all of you, now and forever. It took more strength than I could ever muster to make a video like this, and we love and respect you even more for including us in the realities of life that we all must deal with. I really hope it makes you feel just a little bit better by opening up to us as you chose to do here. Be well, stay strong and know that we're ALWAYS there for you. - Bob (Toronto, Canada)
We may differ in matters of faith but not in love and devotion to dear ones. Papa Curt sounds like one wonderful, loving person. The world lost a special man.
So sorry for your loss, Laura. I made the mistake of watching that video while at my desk at work. That last scene made this 57 yr old Marine cry like a school girl. It was so obvious in that clip how proud he was of you and all you have accomplished. If you continue to produce content as if you were seeing it through his eyes, you will have tremendous success! Also, it was wonderful that you shared your faith, the way he would have. So glad to know that you ( and I'm sure Grant as well), know where you are going when you die. That's many years/decades in the future, but maybe you can plan a meet and greet when you get there. 😉
Laura, you mentioned that you see your grandpa everywhere you turn on the farm. Remember, you were part of him as he is part of you every moment of your life and, hopefully, your children's lives. Chin up, you are a strong young woman, and thank you for sharing!
Precious Laura (and Grant)..I have been in full time ministry for over fifty years, including eight years at First Baptist Church, Atlanta and twenty years at Valley Baptist Church, Bakersfield, California.I have preached dozens of memorial services and witnessed literally hundreds of eulogies and testimonials, but none more moving and touching than yours. What a wonderful legacy your Grandfather leaves in you and your family. THANK YOU for reflecting his values and faith. God bless you during this time of transition. We are lifting you up.
What an amazing thing to be born and die on the land you care for. There's nothing more I could wish for than to be that connected to the land. And then there's you, continuing the tradition, but doing it in your own style with the social media dimension to it. All around, you're honored by where you are and what you're doing. Nice job, Laura.
Laura, I'm a husband, father, and Grandpa. I've had a couple of careers in my life but in my heart always wanted to be a farmer. Leaving a legacy as your grandpa did, is magical and special! Do grow from the land, grow love in hearts, grow an amazing family; well, there's nothing more special in my thinking! Wishing you and your family peace as you grieve the loss! 🫂😘🙏
You are in are thoughts and prayers. Please remember that we all have a limited time on this earth. My wife and I are in our 70's and wonder what will happen when one of us leaves and how the survivor will continue.
How lucky he was to see you grown and building a wonderful future. That’s all we can ask (as a grandparent myself) that we live long enough for the next generation to carry us in their memories. Lovely tribute and he lives on in you.
As a two tour Vietnam Veteran (66&71), I can appreciate your Papa's need to farm when he returned to "the World." He probably helped to construct many of the buildings and facilities I saw or used during the two tours. The SEEBEES are a great group that built many projects that may still be standing, today. A hearty SALUTE to your Papa's memory and legacy during his time on Earth. You were very lucky and privileged to be able to work with him and gain knowledge of his many years farming and in construction. Your resilience as a farmer will be rewarded over the years.
Laura, I know this is 6 months+ later but I am still very sorry about your loss of Papa Kurt. He is in a better place now not in pain and farming in the heavens above. I lost my Grandpa John at the age of 7 and still wished i had more time with him. You are doing GREAT in his eyes.
A fine homage to papa Curt! Big virtual hugs from me to you, Laura. I lost my wife in 2020 to cancer and the first thought I had is that she is no longer in pain and she gave so much of her stories and love to everyone around her.
I began watching this channel because I could see just how deep your love of farming runs. Your enthusiasm and pure joy is infectious. I now see the origins of that love for farming. The traits you describe in Papa Curt are precisely the traits I saw in you when I first began watching your channel. I have always said that, when we lose someone in our life, they live on in us because we wouldn't be 'us' without their influence. You obviously took his teachings and his character and his work ethic to heart. Undoubtedly, Papa Curt is proud of you and Grant. Talk to him daily and ask his advice when you need it. He will always find a way to give you an answer. As long as you continue to follow your dreams, you will continue to make him proud.
I know how difficult this was for you to share. Thank you. It was a huge tribute to your Grandpa and spoke volumes about him, his family and his legacy. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers over the coming months. Your midwestern resilience and care shines through everything you do. You take care, I’m sure your “camera man” will always have your back ...
As a grandfather myself, I know that your Papa Curt was pleased as punch that your chose farming as your career, and seeing your enthusiasm and happiness farming filled him the the deepest pride and satisfaction. You'll see him again someday, and he'll tell you those things himself. THANK YOU for sharing such a wonderful tribute honoring a man that had such impact on your life!

The relationship with your grandpa was a blessing from above. As a grandfather I know that he treasured every moment with you.
Laura, what a beautiful and heart felt memorial for your papa. I usually keep control of my emotions but I have not cried so hard for you and your family. I doubt that you will read this for the thousands of condolences you will receive. Thank you for opening your life to us. You are indeed a remarkable woman. I will always keep you and your family in my prayers.
65 yr old farm kid Cornhusker from Scottsbluff. 77 HS Gard. UNL 70-83. Flew fast jets in the AF. Big jets for Delta. I did well because my Dad taught me to drive a tractor at age 8. Fed cattle, shoveled crap. Silage galore. Sugar beets. Beans. Alfalfa. Hauled 1,000s of bails of hay. My success was because of all that I learned from G Pa’s and Dad. I cried watching this video. God Bless you and your husband And everyone who made a comments below. I’m a proud Husker I’m so sorry for your loss of Papa Kurt.
Signing Off - This is Grandpa. What a fitting closure to such an emotional video. Condolences from my family to yours in these sad times. You are a testament to how great a man he truly was.
Wow... condolences. What a lot of folks won't realize is that work on the farm never stops for anything. Oh sure, they can maybe take a couple of days off but someone still has to be there to care for the animals and anything else that is a daily chore that can't not be done. I'm not sure if that makes grief worse or not... Rest in Piece Papa Curt!
Long time viewer and lurker. Not sure if I've commented before but I was moved to do so today. Condolences to your family. When you said Papa Curt not only gave you land but gave you one of the best pieces of land set my teary eyes to Niagra Falls. I am sure it was that love filled decision that has blessed your farming journey thus far and most certainly gave your Papa Curt such pride to see you become Laura Farms. ♥️
So sorry for your loss. He had to be so proud of you for following in his footsteps and for being the wonderful person that you are. You had many thousands of your fans shedding a tear with you on that beautiful tribute to your grandfather. God bless you and the rest of your family.
Hey Laura. I am messaging from New Zealand 🇳🇿 I love all your posts here but never comment, this one really hit home with me. I felt your pain and loss, and send prayers and comfort to all your family in this time of sorrow. Your videos make me feel like part of your family and I have come to love your Papa Curt from the times he has featured, he reminds me so much of my own Papa who was very similar, he came through hard times as well. The "old shop" is just like my Papa's workshop, so much saved for the time it may be needed. You will find a lot of joy and comfort in the memories and things you see in the old shop, but there will be times when something you see or remember just hits you unexpectedly and the tears come again. But the great memories do long outlast the grief you feel, the sorrow will turn to joy, I promise. I am forever thankful to Papa Curt ,and all the veterans, for his service to ensure freedom for Americans and also for us New Zealanders as well.🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you so much for sharing this video with us all. God bless you and thank you for sharing your faith, and for Papa Curt, I do know where I am going when I die and look forward to meeting you there. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
My condolences to you and your family. Your compassion for your Papa Curt and your family is one factor which makes you such a great person. You and Grant earned a well-deserved time off.
Such a Great Man....He is with our Lord in Heaven keeping an eye on the Farm and his Family. He is blessed with eternal life waiting for his family to join him again someday.
We grieve your loss with you. “Tough times… they don’t last. Tough people… they last” He sounds like he was the embodiment of that quote. May he Rest in Peace.
So sorry for your loss Laura... this tribute to your Papa Curt was truly heart-wrenching... I'm glad you shared his life with us. Sending prayers for you and your family to offer you some peace 🙏🙏🙏
Rest In Peace Papa Curt, my condolences to you and your family. You will be missed and your spirit will live on and to a fellow SEABEE our brothers and sisters salute you!
I have always been taught that a person’s worth is not in the material “things” we acquire; but rather in the lives we touch for the better. Judging by your Dad and you, your Grandfather brought more value to this world than 99% of people who have ever lived. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to him and for sharing it with your RUclips “family”. Please know that my family and I will be keeping you and yours in our thoughts and prayers. We who are left behind feel the sadness of our loss; but just think of the joy in the reunion he is having with those who have gone before. Hold tight to your faith - you will see him again in the celestial home that has prepared for each of us.
Laura - I'm so sorry...thank you for trusting and loving us enough to share this video. We all love you and your family. You're in my prayers every nite.
Rest in Peace Papa Curt. I'm so sorry for your loss. He would have been so incredibly proud of your achievements, and its nice to see a piece of him live on through your farming journey
I am so sorry for your loss, keep a hold of the good memories. And Grant if you read this, give Laura a big hug. And lastly take as long as you need we will be here when you’re ready ❤
I was so moved by the raw emotion you shared, God bless you for having the strength I am sure something else past on by your Grandpa. Having lost my mother and my oldest brother in the last 18 months we also have been reminded of the the close family we have and how much we love how God plays a huge part of why we love and respect the Lord and each other. Greif can be part of a wonderful healing experience if we let it, guided by our faith. I am commenting for a couple reasons, the main one is to just thank you for sharing your heart, the next will be quite surprising but here goes. I am having a wonderful opportunity in life to help save a person's life by being a living Kidney donor, in this case to a co-worker but that doesn't really matter. I believe that God has presented me with a chance to do something to least of our brothers as it says in the book of Mathew. I am so appreciative that I heard the call from my God and gladly answered that call. My hope for telling you this is that someone may read this and they may hear a calling from God, and no matter what that call is, answer the call. There are so many people in need. Hungry, homeless no matter what reach out and help. Your grandpa sounded like he was this kind of guy, and you sound like you want to follow in his footsteps. For all this in the name of Jesus I pray.
What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute. My condolences and prayers to you and your family. Please take comfort in the love and knowledge he gave to you. Thank you for sharing your feelings, family, faith and farming with all of us.
You mentioned that Papa Curt touched your life in a lot of ways. I suspect now he's looking down and realizing how many lives you're touching in a positive way via RUclips, and how his legacy is being shared with people around the world on a regular basis to people all around the world. I'm sure you've made him proud. Wishing peace and comfort to you and your family.
I think I speak for tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people; we love you back Laura. Your family is awesome and I am sad to hear of your loss. In another way, happy that your life was shared with Papa Curt, and his with you. As I write this video is at 60K views. I bet it's close to double that number in weepy eyes, mine included.
What a loving tribute to your Papa Curt. I talked to your Grandma Carla in September. We were classmates way back then. I'm so sorry for your families loss of such a kind and loving man. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. I know he's in heaven watching over all of you. May God bless you all.
I am so so sorry for your loss. When I lost my farming grandpa it was so hard. They are just a special kind of grandpas. I spent many summers with him farming that are truly missed. I will keep you and your family in my prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m sorry for your loss. We will keep your family in our prayers. I’m sure that seeing your success as a farmer and knowing that you are following in your grandpa’s footsteps also brought him great comfort and joy.
Sorry for your loss Laura! A truly great man is hard to lose and he will want you to carry on with honor, peace and happiness. He knew what you loved and wanted you to experience it with all his love.
As soon as I saw the title of the video, I knew. I knew someone who meant the world to you had moved on to the other side where he no longer has any pain or suffering. I know how this feels and I know how difficult this is for you right now. Remember all the good times and never forget his love for you. Prayers to you and your family. ❤
What a great honor to have your granddaughter produce such a wonderful tribute. Speaks volumes of the man he was! Prayers going up for you and the family.
Incredibly sweet, Laura. Thank you for allowing us a glimpse of your Papa Curt and the special love you shared with one another. He rejoices in Heaven and lives on through you!
Your Grandpa came from the best generation ever in America. Reminds me of my own Grandpa, blind in one eye, but still able to hit a ten ring at 300 yards. owned the fastest car available in 1953, and provided dental services to anyone in town regardless of ability to pay. I guess they ate a lot of chicken, which was a bit of a luxury in the day. I learned SO much from him, things I still use today. The most important is empathy, you never know what the other person is going through. Thanks for the heartfelt video, brings a little bit of my Grandpa back to me.
Your Papa Kurt was a big constructor of the World. My condolences and God bless you, May you hace great strength, he is with you from Heaven. From Canary Island.
This is a video that speaks volumes of what America needs. Love, life, and family. I know where your coming from and only time will heal. God bless your heart, you are a precious person.

Such a beautiful tribute to Papa Curt. Well done Laura.

You'll see him again someday, and he'll tell you those things himself. THANK YOU for sharing such a wonderful tribute honoring a man that had such impact on your life!
The relationship with your grandpa was a blessing from above. As a grandfather I know that he treasured every moment with you.
Papa curt going to have a big smile on his face watching the farm grow and get bigger

I’m a proud Husker
I’m so sorry for your loss of Papa Kurt.
Signing Off - This is Grandpa. What a fitting closure to such an emotional video. Condolences from my family to yours in these sad times. You are a testament to how great a man he truly was.
Laura, sorry for your loss. It’s brave of you to share your emotions and story with the world. Thank you!
My condolences on the loss of your Grandpa and my prayers for your family. It is comforting to know that he was (and you are) a person of faith.
Wow... condolences.
You were blessed to have him in your life for so long
So sorry for your loss. He had to be so proud of you for following in his footsteps and for being the wonderful person that you are. You had many thousands of your fans shedding a tear with you on that beautiful tribute to your grandfather. God bless you and the rest of your family.
My deepest sympathy for your loss.
My own mother in law passed just two weeks ago, Monday. 😢
Thoughts and prayers for you all.
Hey Laura.
I am messaging from New Zealand 🇳🇿
I love all your posts here but never comment, this one really hit home with me.
I am forever thankful to Papa Curt ,and all the veterans, for his service to ensure freedom for Americans and also for us New Zealanders as well.🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much for sharing this video with us all. God bless you and thank you for sharing your faith, and for Papa Curt, I do know where I am going when I die and look forward to meeting you there. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I did not sin today by listening to you speak about our faith .Your grandfathers legacy lives on. God bless you and yours.

What a testimony and legacy. Just remember, you'll be with him alot longer than you'll be without him. God bless and prayers for your family.
We grieve your loss with you.
“Tough times… they don’t last. Tough people… they last”
He sounds like he was the embodiment of that quote. May he Rest in Peace.
The legacy of your Grandfather will stretch on to your grandchildren. So sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your family's loss. Continued prayers. What a great husband/man/father/grandfather......
Rest easy brother 'Bee. Fair winds and following seas. You will be missed. Condolences to you and your family Laura.
What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute. My condolences and prayers to you and your family. Please take comfort in the love and knowledge he gave to you. Thank you for sharing your feelings, family, faith and farming with all of us.
Condolences laura on your family’s loss. We’re proud of you for making this incredibly tough video

Sorry for your loss Laura! A truly great man is hard to lose and he will want you to carry on with honor, peace and happiness. He knew what you loved and wanted you to experience it with all his love.
What a beautiful tribute, if you did not shed a tear watching that you are incapable. Laura you are a bright spot for all of us.
My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Time eases the sharpness of your loss but he remains in your thoughts and your heart forever.
This is a video that speaks volumes of what America needs. Love, life, and family. I know where your coming from and only time will heal. God bless your heart, you are a precious person.
