Mine was doing the same matey, was the hold assist needed turning off (its on by default when you start the car)
Do you plan to get it mapped in the future
Mine launches fine with hill hold, just need to hold brake harder I found

Remember to have your left foot pressed hard on the brake. If you just press it lightly the car will try to "brake boost" which isn't possible in a dsg.
Brake boosting is possible in a DSG I have it on mine but it’s something that has to get mapped in.
What the hell is brake boost? Seems abit crap if every time you need to brake, you have to press the pedal hard?🤔
Jonathan It allows you to do a rolling lunch with full boost. For example doing 30mph press the brake peddle slightly and then throttle all the way down this brings the revs up and builds the boost so as soon as you release the brake you’re off no delay waiting for the turbo to spool

You have to come to a complete stop for about 2 secs. Put in dynamic mode, traction control off/sport.
Hold the brake down harder than normal, then smash the throttle. Should engage LC, let it build boost for a few secs then release brake.
It won’t let you launch until you have reached 1500 miles I think
yea and under 1500 miles dont go WOT and above 4000rpm. But as you can see a lot of people don't care about their engines

LC might be new car mileage restricted, like my f80 was until first service. My 2020 exclusive rs3 on the ship atm, sold my og PFL iron block for an f80 zcp and always regretted it. I’ve got a catted bcs dp + milltek catback (plus all other stage 2 parts) to return the sound

Same upgrade as you mate…S3 to RS3 (2018) with Sports Exhaust, which sounds absolutely epic in Dynamic/Sports mode. I've driven a 2020 OPF RS3 and it felt so different and if I’m honest, less exciting than my previous S3 (2016) with res delete. You should watch the Carwow comparison of a RS3 Pre OPF (FL) v RS3 OPF, very interesting watch. Either way, your Exhaust Mod and Stage 2 remap will sort you out. I’ll be watching your journey mate….enjoy !

I have an 8P RS3 my security is a hidden button on the starter circuit lol love the digi dash on those man.. are they 400hp standard?
I'd recommend keeping the tracker tag separate from the keys. If someone has your keys the tracker won't go off but if you keep it separate they'll need both and won't know so you can then know your cars taken with the keys.
What does it handle like? Whats it like against say a Golf R? So far these vids (although good) have been all about the engine, performance and sound. Is this car a one trick pony then? Does it handle?
What’s the biggest reason you got the immobiliser/tracker? Because it’s keyless? I have an s3 with with a normal key, would you still recommend getting something fitted?

It’ll return when I have a non rusty shell. That car had a lot of hidden bits on it which I found out. Not sitting in a sketchy car after my accident last year.

I had a similar issue with my RSQ3, maybe a stupid question but did you switch the auto brake off when you tried to launch?
Did you make sure you waited for the esc off warming to clear before launching? I think that’s your error
With the tyre selection, how do you think the manufacturer chooses the tyre? You would think they would choose what's best for the car, or maybe they go best of both worlds for budget and performance? Everyone I watch love the ps4s
You need to hold the traction control button for at least 3-4 secs and it should be completely off. It should also say ESC OFF on the dash.

You also need to make sure the kick down switch is pressed when you flatten the throttle? I’m sure you know that but I can’t think of why else it wouldn’t engage.

You do have the option with the ghost to let it crank and then die with some dramatic error codes showing up (transmission / gear box fail etc). Make sure you have disabled bluetooth.
You need akrapovic excaust.
And flap modul.

New OPF RS3 dont have launch control due to emissions regulation... You need a TCU tune in order to do it
I had 2017 FL RS3 and that Launched hard, the newer OPF car doesn’t seem to launch or sound anything like the pre OPF ones 🤦🏼♂️👍🏻👍🏻

I'm sure you have to the exhaust at full temp before launch. Different engine but I've done a Cupra R ST ABT under 4 secs. Don't trust draggy!

On mine 2020. i have to have sport/S mode/ stopstart off/ hill hold off. Hope this helps!

Doesn’t need activating, it’s just being a bit unpredictable for some reason

Pretty sure they have a certain number of launches it will do before you have to go back to the dealer to have it reset. Dont know what the exact number is but could be the issue.

Switch fuel to Tesco momentum it’s better than Shell, saw a car being mapped on RUclips at Awesome Gti and they told him to run down the fuel and fill up with Tesco Momentum and then bring the car back.
They had just filled the car with Shell V Power as well, be interested to heat your thoughts on this?
I use Tesco Momentum mostly, only if I run out and a Shell is nearer I’ll go to them

TR Hamza unfortunately I sold it in April last year. It was a 2018 model had it for 14 months. Sounded epic though for what it’s worth. I’m in a Prius now and down for a cybertruck in a couple of years. Ireland isn’t like the uk for cars anymore. They do their best with many taxes etc to keep petrol engine cars off the road. An average spec rs3 is about 80k euro here. Have seen one in a dealers for 100k euro. Had every box ticked.

Had this issue with mine once, foot was hard on brake, in sports mode and traction off and wouldn't work but what it was the engine and oil temperature weren't high enough to use launch
Correct, Most VAG cars will not activate launch control until all components are up to temp. Our Q5 wouldn't launch control at operating temperature but after around 15-20 mins (say 5-10 after engine is at temp) then it works fine, My Gti is the same.

How is 98-105 degree cold? That’s operating temperature this car was on for like 40 mins before I attempted a few launches
@@TRHamza if I what I was told was correct the temperature that Audi deem suitable to launch is 105 degree Celsius 220 Fahrenheit, car won't let u launch if below that temp to ensure safety of components

Nah nah listen I have a 2017 S3 and I had the same problem. The way it worked for me was hold the brake down hard and then press the gas. I realised I was holding the brake loose and it wasn't engaging launch control because of it
Other thing is put it on dynamic and sports mode. I'm not to sure about the manual paddles to do it
100% if you don’t hold the brake down hard enough to hit the 2nd stage it won’t launch 🚀 👌🏼
Same problem with my M5. Gear shift ferocity needs to be in max setting with the break fully pressed so that it doesn’t bog down

Anonymous Bullet I got 3.1 seconds on my stock M5 Competition in November so the conditions weren’t ideal but I had Michelin pilot sport 4S. i did a 2.8 in my cousin’s M5 competition with evolve stage 2 remap without using launch control in good conditions, I just brake boosted the beast

Very rare nowadays. There are 'advisory' periods but engines designed with enough clearance in bearings and piston rings for it to not matter anymore.
