It's just bland perfect everyday car. At the same time, the BMW is utterly awesome, totally exciting every single second and I want to keep it forever.
I hear you on buying a used RS3, I went for a new 2019 OPF model, had it around 8 months and went stage 1 which really compliments the car and adds a bit more character especially with the pops and burbles. Enjoy fella, look forward to seeing your 5 pot journey 👍🏻
Yeh, such a shame they messed up the sound. Ruined it a little. Love my 2017 rs3 saloon, according to my dealer mine was the first customer 8v saloon car in the country. Mine was ultra spec ara blue but has just about every option except carbon brakes, delimiter, carbon engine cover. Tempted with the new one but alas I think it’ll be silly money.
Stephen Peacock yep the sound has been muted but it’s not as bad as people make out, a few thousand miles helps with the exhaust and a simple valve controller really helps with the low down rev sound, a re-map adds that and the pops and burbles, honestly mine now sounds amazing, just a shame I’ve had to mess up my warranty for the sake of getting the sound better, but the added power is very welcome to 😉
TR Hamza I’ve had an RS5 and I’m on my second RS3. You will never get sick of pushing the RS3. It’s just a very rare care to experience. Enjoy it!! Wish we had the Hatch in Canada. Only the Saloon available here.

Point to point on a challenging piece of road, you'd search for a quicker car. I read that they understeer, but on-road you do not approach those limits, and I find the steering alive and so direct. After an appetite of many Alfa's, Lancia's, Porsche's, TVR's, BMW"s, AMG's, the RS3 is the quickest A to B car I've owned.

At first i was a little confused on why you didnt get a 67 plate but from what you said in the video it makes complete sense. These cars are so good that they are the perfect “criminals” car so buying one that isn’t deceptive is very difficult indeed.

I saw the original s1 5pot in the late 80's at a special stage in the Lombard rac rally (the precursor to what we have now). Hooked ever since. So happy for you after such horrific recent history (crash recovery).

Big Congrats first off bro. As a Golf R 7.5 owner I'd love an RS3 but for me I'd also have to have the Sportback as it's better to live with every day than the Saloon. I think the Saloon is a posers version of the RS3 whereas the sport back is more everyday gangsta style and I'd go for a gunmetal grey myself. Well done.
