This isn't completely in order, it's more done in the best way for the video to flow, though most of them are round about where I'd place them. This is easily the most ambitious project I've ever attempted and I like to think it's one of the most ambitious projects any soap channel has attempted. This series has been inspired by H.K.5, Steve Davidson, Qasim Hussain, BBC Soap Historian and SlimSlimyEdits, either through conversations I've had with them or through videos/shorts they've uploaded. Thank you to everyone whose clips I included, especially Retro UK TV who uploaded a clip specifically for this project. Is there anyone who you think I've missed, who deserves recognition for their durability?
It's Graham Foster (ED), Graham has legitimate superhuman durability feats, he was punched tons of times and was never floored despite certain opponents like Jamie being MUCH larger then him. The only thing that ever floored him were very hard and forceful kicks. He was smashed straight into by a car and sent flying down into a quarry, which was a huge drop, the drop alone would have seriously injured or even killed any other person. This was after he had already been in multiple fights with Pierce. After he'd fallen into the Quarry he still BASICALLY won the fight against Pierce besides being struck by a metal pipe after Graham got the upper hand. Best durability feat in any soap, easily. So Graham is my number 1, although Phil's fight durability is pretty spotty, his overall durability as a human being to keep on trucking and being able to simply throw good punches at his age, and take punches back from Keanu, with his health problems, is crazy. If we're talking purely fighting durability... I'm probably going with Warren as a not-so-close second behind Graham, his fights with Brendan were crazy and he also has done things like fallen off a balcony and continued fighting with Calvin Valentine.
I would say Nate comes close to Graham and Warren when it comes to durability. He got whacked over the head with a wrench twice by Cain and was still able to overpower him for a bit and even taunt him in the process. Hell, he didn’t even seem fazed after getting hit.
@@H.K.5 Nate's durability feat is nothing special, he was knocked out by it. It wasn't a very hard hit, it was a small hit to get the advantage, it also wasn't a big wrench. It's impressive but the hits during the fight were never going to knock ANY person out. I think even Billy Mitchell or Ian Beale could deal with hits like that without being KO'ed. I'm not really sure how that comes even close to being hit by a car and knocked off a cliff, after getting knocked out, getting into multiple fights, and then getting killed by a very hard hit with a metal pipe directly to the head.
I actually did have Graham as the most durable at first, but it was the sheer quantity of clips of Phil surviving life threatening situations, he had to be last. Also liked ending it with Phil saying "I've got years to live, it's funny really" I don't actually watch Hollyoaks, which is why I didn't include Warren or any HO hardmen. No doubt Warren would be on all these lists (And near the top of most of them) if I was including Hollyoaks. I get what you're saying about Nate's durability feats, but I think a lot of people underestimate how seriously a concussion can affect someone, as so many characters in films and tv shows seem to walk away, after receiving quite a blow to the head, without any issues or seemingly unscathed
I'd also say that Jamie was a lot taller than Graham, but he was a lot skinnier. It was impressive that Jamie gave him a lip bleed though. Yeah, in terms of fighting durability, Phil's isn't that great. I also think Grant's durability is quite overrated.

I would say the only soap hardmen who are actually durable are Graham, Warren and Nate. No one else has impressed me anywhere near as much as these guys as far as pure toughness goes. People talk about how durable Grant is because he’s never been dropped by anyone apart from Phil but it’s not like the people who failed to deck him knew how to throw a punch in the first place. Nigel, Ricky and Aidan were all weaklings and those Italian guys who punched him looked like they’d lose to Ian Beale.
I would also say Ross, Den, Stuart, Zak, Ned, Keanu, Martin and Jack are all also incredibly durable. Phil isn't really in terms of fighting but in terms of surviving life-threatening situations, he's a tank! I agree, Grant's durability is highly overrated. I do think it's impressive though that he crashes into the Thames, nobody could find him and then you see him at the airport, after seeming self-recovery. I agree, that's why I didn't include those clips. I did think of including Phil punching Grant by the Thames, but I already had quite a lot in the video already.
@H.K.5 I agree about Nigel, Ricky, Aidan and those Italian Guys, let’s say If Dan, Dennis, Sean, Jack or Vincent punched Grant but failed to deck/floor him then would you say he’s at the top of the list of Durability/close to Warren, Graham, and Nate in terms of durability?
@@qasimhussain1678 I'd say that makes him slightly more durable but to really rate Grant's durability higher, I'd have to see him last 30 seconds + in a fight where they are both getting a few good hits in and maybe being hit with objects/weapons but still continuing to fight!
Nate has Cain’s genes and he’s younger so he’s definitely durable 😂 it’s just he thrown his first punch of the show at Caleb
Nate is more durable than Cain.
@H.K.5 I agree be was definitely more faster than Cain on their boat fight
Pat Phelan. The amount of times he's been hit over the head is crazy.
Not from EE or ED though 😝
He wasn’t that durable, he got knocked out on three different occasions.
@@H.K.5
Which 3 occasions?

Did Ricky ever actually hit Grant? I've seen rumours of it but never actually seen the clip
Why is Kush here, he was big but no hardman.
I think being punched down some stairs, demanding to be hit again then getting up and fighting back is a pretty impressive durability feat.
