Petition to turn this channel into a Richmond news only channel. Thanks
Seconded
Hahahah don’t worry mate plenty more tigers content to come
Big Footy Tigercast Channel on RUclips is another great Richmond Channel. I was watching there live stream of the Draft. And they put up a short video today as well of when the North Trade was getting done of live reaction it was unbelievable no one could believe that was happening? Worth checking out that video and Channel just like yours it a great Channel. Is on Monday nights live at 830pm during the Season Big Footy Tigercast but has had a lot of Draft stuff most days. 🏆🏆🏆
Could not agree more. Michaels and the boys are passionate tiger fans and put on an a great show. I would love to see CHB feature as a guest.
Great work Tigers! Remember all that talk by North that we should give up 6 and either 10 or 11, for their pick 2. Well as I said before they were the ones desperate to trade as evidenced by them coughing up their future first to us. They should have been more reasonable and gone for picks 6 & 18. This would have got them both Tauru and Trainor, and they’d have been able to hold onto the future first as well. What a coup for the mighty yellow and black!
Yeah crazy that the talk all cooled down but we ended up securing their future first anyway. What are the chances
Nice work on the draft. Been a pleasure watching your viewpoints
Thank you David really appreciate it
What just happened. RFC draft crew had one job ....to get the draft right. How could they not, did they stuff up.???? Well.......let's say
We took 2 excellent midfielders, ( Lalor, Smillie),
3 picks who could have been top 10 - (Hotton, Trainor, Armstrong ). Throw in talls Faull, Simms and a future 1st. Then to finish, pick a guy at GC pick 58 in Jasper Alger who was said to be 25-30.
WE NAILED IT..!!!! Wooohooo
Give Blair and crew the KEYS to Richmond city. Thanks also to Toce.
The next Dynasty is coming.
..........UNBELIEVABLE........
We did absoloutelt nail it and it was so good to see how they collaborated in Toces honour! I really do hope we can keep Blair Hartley from going to Tasmania
Nice summary.
I think StKilda, WC and Port are big winners. They did very well getting players i considered elite - some who seemed to drop in pick selection based on their power ratings.
I'm a Tigers supporter. I'm still unsure about some of the selections. I would have loved 1 of the small forwards in Joe Berry or Oliver Hannaford or 1 of the tall defenders in Tauru or Travaglia.
I'm unsure about Josh Smillie - big bustling midfielder yes, reasonable kick, can pinch hit in the forward - but concerned about his marking and competitive level. Only time will tell.
Jonty Faull was a big surprise tonight, first of the key fowards and many rated him at #4 from that list. It was already known going in that Jonty was high on Richmonds list. Jonty might be the best all rounder of the key forwards. Good mark, competitive, good kick - smaller than the others but more mobile. Picked to fill the CHF role.
Harry Armstrong - big slider but potentially the best key forward. At least his power rankings show that (but put into context, was also in the best team). Great kick and mark. Hopefully time (maturity) and the group around him can guide him to become the best of himself. Picked to play the deep FF.
Thomas Sims - interesting pick. Jury is out - however i think he's seen as a mobile ruckman with a high leap, good mark and good kick. Very athletic and strong - can play forward but also in the same mold of Luke Jackson.
Taj Hotton and Luke Trainor - injuries are a concern. Project players that need time - but great talent and skill on offer from both. Both were tracking for top 5-10 before hit with injuries. Only time will tell if the picks were worth it. But could be 200+ game careers. Here's hoping for the best.
Jasper Alger - happy with the pick. He was on Tigers list and we were lucky to still get him at pick 58. Small forward ... position we need. Wish we picked Berry instead but Alger could still step into the role of a good competitive small forward.
Sam Lalor - potential champion of the game. Needs to work on his conditioning and fitness/flexibility. Needs a solid preseason to trim a little but given his injuries, understandable. The sky the limits ... only time will tell where he ends up.
The future is bright ... another good year on clever targeted draft picks and a trade or 2 and Tigers could be in the 8 again in 2027. Challenging for a flag as early as 2028-2029.
Yeah as a Richmond fan I personally would have loved Joe berry but I think port did really nail that! The potential for Sam Lalor is crazy and the sky is the limit. I’m going to assume his injuries are being of the lack of preseasons he’s had
Hotton they’ll take their time with while trainor I’ve heard he’s had concussions but I’m hoping the risk is not bad
Half these boys all seem to be mates. The trust will already be there with this lot. Hope they all do well unlike the last time we had this many picks early haha 😅
Good on ya mate, enjoy your candour. I think we have made some great selections who have huge upside potential, (they also seem to have maintained the we wont recruit anyone if they are a dickhead policy ) which is great. Big opportunity for these guys to be developed and experienced so we kick start a new dynasty. Go Tiges!!
Thanks mate for all your hard work. I am old bloke who has no idea about this stuff. Awesome content as I learnt alot and you also made it fun. Keep it up Well done.
Mate you don’t know how much this comment means to me I appreciate it! Glad that I’m the one who’s kept you informed about our draft and trades. Go the tiges 🐯
My Thoughts for Richmond
..... Then. .......... Now
D.Martin..>>> S.Lalor
J.Graham >>>J.Smillie
S.Bolton >>>> T.Hotton
J.Reiwoldt >>>> J.Faull
D.Grimed >>>>> L.Trainor
T.Lynch >>>>>. T.Simms
S.Edwards >>>> J.Alger.
Then to complete H.Armstrong who possibly could be our J. Cameron roaming the forward line.
What a crew for the future.
Yeah exactly right we’ve found some replacements! Tbh I think smillie automatically comes in and is better than what we saw graham produce
Great tigers analysis
Thanks boss
Mate how big is Smillie actually? He was slightly taller than Jack and is taller than Harry Armstrong too!
Listed as 1.95
Sid draper embarrassed him
Well he’s listed at 195 but imagine if he got bigger
I’m just annoyed that of all clubs Jagga had to end up at Carlton 😭
Yeah that one for sure hurts
@@centrehalfbench7 as much as i was riding jagga all year and i still do believe he will be way better than what people where thinking he will be, i would have been totally fine if he went to any team in the top 5 that isn't Carlton so that definitely really hurts
How good is barracking for Richmond
Couldn’t be more happier
Time will tell.richmond has done this before and messed up.getting so many players at the same time hasn't worked for gold coast, gws,Carlton Melbourne or North.years of tanking is not a good club environment. But time will tell
Richmond is starting from a better base than gws and gc. Has a more stable board than Carlton, Melbourne or North has had thru their poor years. The Richmond that dropped the ball last time is not even close to the same club it is now. We’re about to build a world class facility that will attract high quality players. Lids off brother
2004 Richmond came off 2 decades of failure. 2024 Richmond is 4 years post dynasty. Completely different situation.
I seriously think when a club is going through a period of sustained success and players are leaving the club due to starved opportunity - they should be wrapping all 4 to 6 of their picks each year up into high first round picks to replace the premiership stars that are retiring/leaving. And just like you pointed out in the video where they may have a break from recruiting draftees for a few years because they have a whole team pick already - maybe they should be doing the same thing - have only absolute guns to fill the spots of injuries and retirees.
My summary of the night after the first 2 picks - Tell me you have no faith in any of our current players being successful forwards without telling me you have no faith in any of our current players being successful forwards
110%
More Richmond fanboi drivel. What odds this kid didn't go to a single under 18 match this year?
Wait til this bloke finds out my best mate plays for the stingrays and I watched a tone of games 💀
@@centrehalfbench7 It wouldn't surprise me that your best mate plays for the stingrays. Teenagers tend to hang out with other teenagers, which is also in line with the level of your current draft analytics. Maybe in another 10 years you will start to have a clue. Maybe.
Nah richmond sold
2/10 rage bait comment
They def had a great draft. Would have preferred JW or Dodson over Sims but that’s ok. Key will be player development as the current youngsters have not really gotten better. Rioli, Ralhsmith, Ross, Miller, even Balta have not really become better players.
They took Tom sims cause he is a fwd/ruck
Ralph? 😂
@ OCD turned up, what a surprise 😮
@ Yes I got that, but he goes Missing from too many games. I just think JW or the very mobile Dodson would have been a better project. Time will tell and I know Sims has a huge wingspan and can mark the ball well.
@BLiTzToRiOuS I agree should of got just a ruck
You could of got Stevie wonder to do that draft for Richmond and they still would of dominated with that many picks. Wasn’t difficult my friend.
Hahahahah real
Richmond were 💩 this year and they'll be 💩💩 next year.
And then we’ll kick your ass every week for a decade every year after that
That’s fine we were shit in 2009 and 2010 before climbing up the ladder with those players winning us 3 flags
Bro telling Richmond fans what they already know
