McGroarty is the biggest talent since Ehlers. I am convinced the Jets won't get back what they trade away. Tough one.
It will a SERIOUS BAD MARK on the Jets organization to trade Rutger he is a TOP prospect and possibly the answer they need to push them into the playoffs and win the cup. He is a gritty guy that the jets need. They got spanked in the playoffs. This is a HORRIBLE decision NOT letting him play. Give him a shot.
Sad about Mcgroarty I thought he could be a Chris Krieder type of guy for us.
I feel Lucius who finds himself because of injury behind Lambert,Chibrikov,Barlow,Salmonsson,Heinola. Could also want out just no leverage.
Whether jets include Ehlers,Perfetti,Mcgroarty,Lucius,Iafallo,Pionk,Stanley in trades guys I'd look for in return.

Rutger will be a major impact player, and I think that even if his scoring is mediocre. Why? Charisma! Despite their modest talent, Brendan Tanev and Mikey Essimont were inspirational to their teammates by way of their sheer effort. If you have played on a team where there is a mate who lifts everyone up by his/her changing the game, you know what I mean. McDavid does it with genius. Messier did it with sheer force of will. Jets 2.0 have never had a star like McGroarty. Look at the '24 world juniors. God help us.

The jets develop model doesn’t work. Young players play in today’s nhl despite the mistakes they make. He has exactly what they need. Take a look around and it’s easy to see. Guys like heinola and perfetti don’t play and Stanley, iafallo, and Appleton do! That’s just stupid. Rutger takes a look at that and says no thanks. They might regret this for many years to come and us fans suffer because of these decisions.
I don’t even understand what all the fuss here is about. The Jets wanted Rutger to sign a contract this spring, he wants to stay at school for another year. Just wait another year, it’s not like this one player makes the entire difference.

Will he be traded, well Chevy is dumb enough for sure, should he be traded, absolutely not! If you have been have been paying attention this Jets lineup is not even close to being able to go deep into the playoffs. I'm of the view and orderly rebuild is in order and there is some solid prospects that shud be developing in the NHL and not in the minors. Will this happen, not as long as Chevy is the GM, and therein lies the problem.
