    I don't love copp touching line 2, but I would love the addition of Yegor!

    Your on the right track tho and I believe if the player is there and it works wings will go after the player but first need to lock down the younger players and decide which ones may be in the trade deals but are we getting like a Mitch M , be great but again once team is set players will come we already seen a hint of that with the larkin contract lord cat coming and Kane just all the sudden being here we may just have to get lucky like that but I 100 percent agree that they gotta let some of these draft picks either develop up or make a banger trade and it really seems like he wants to have some money around cause I actually do think they can make play runs now if the team acts like the team they’re kinda became last year for so many on a one year deal they sure did scare some teams and def would have been a better first round showing but like Stevie said he wants to get the team where making the playoffs is normal and easy for them then you may see a tear jerking trade but unless someone wants to come here she sure there is many it’s still gotta work out it will be good for the.NHL to have it’s basically youth movement is allot Michigan players whether it was aaa or juniors almost all roads lead to wings in some way college aaa 17-18 under us development teams there’s allot of those players kinda come with home town discounts so who knows what’s all to be done but def starts with youth

      I would love to get Mitch Marner but the cost is gonna be huge since it’s within division. I think Yzerman jumped too early with all the free agent signings and now they have to let some of those guys go to make space for the young guys. If they re-sign Ghost, there’s no room for Johansson. If they re-sign Kane and Perron, there’s no room for Mazur or Berggren. There will be a step back if they focus on development which will be better for the team long term

      @@undraftedhockeyfan he needed to see what these guys can do makes sense what he did last season don’t agree with all the moves but he got the most outta what he had it’s a good thing if Stevie has to think about trading for a player because the guys deserve it not saying trade away allot just saying some point want to make a move we need another guy that can really drive play like Larkin do that and bring up right players kinda like what Dallas has done , I don’t disagree with you at just hope we can sneak another one in to help out Larkin and rest of the top 6 but let’s see this season maybe the youth takes care of that issue on its own the better players around Larkin the better

  • @DarrellDJP84

    They have young players that have to be brought up one way or another but generally speaking we could go backwards but if we do should be on the account of youth which can be off set if they get the right players to come back and they def need a another top 6 forward, the goalie situation is what it is cause no ones paying for the amount to take the contract and husso comes back strong this year at least he can maybe get paid elsewhere after maybe he a bargain chip but he’s going young he kinda has to he’s not going to give up tons of picks but I do expect so see big shake up and hopefully we get another home team deal

    • @undraftedhockeyfan

      I agree about them going backwards. As long as the young kids get play time with the big league to propel develop

    I think Detroit buys out Jeff Petry, Justin Holl might have to stay at least for one more year because its not gonna be easy to get out of that contract , and I think switch the 4th to a 2nd in the Sharky deal and that would probably be a deal. And tbh I don't think the Wings need a goalie unless it's a starter. Lyon was a great backup but Husso just hasn't been good for you guys. Oh and well give you Hamonic for a 7th 😉

    • @undraftedhockeyfan
      @undraftedhockeyfan  3 месяца назад +1

      Petry buyout is also an option but I’d rather ride him out because there’s only a year left. Holl will be tougher to move but still feasible. A second for Määttä is too much. I would do a late third. My rationale is the Wings got Marc Staal at $5 million for one year and second round pick to take the contract. Määttä only makes $3 million. Plus I like Olli move than Holl and Petry but I recognize having to make space for rookies. The problem with the goalies is both of their contracts are both up next year and I would like to have an established goalie who is familiar with the system to help coach Cossa when he comes in for the 2025-26 season instead of bringing in two completely new goalies in 25-26. I’m definitely open to resigning Lyon as a 1A/1B but it has to be a tandem because Lyon started to crumble after 35 games and he was hot and cold all season. Yeah the Hamonic with a side of Korpisalo please 😂😂

      @undraftedhockeyfan they need to get to the cap floor so I'm not sure. He's better than what he was last year but we can't go into next season taking that risk.

      @@sens_outlook do you think based on where they ended up in the Atlantic division that they will contend for a playoff spot this year? if not, then it might not hurt to give him one more year to get acclimated.

      @@michaellaughlin8457 yes this was my prediction video of what they should/might do. Yzerman swung harder for Kane and got lucky with Tarasenko and I’m glad he did. I didn’t think he would be able to get them and thought he would have focused more on making room for the young guns

      I’m thinking 86-88 points and missing the playoffs. It’s more important to develop the young guys so the wings are in the playoffs for years instead of going in and out of the playoffs
