I never knew that Vicky McClure had long hair before. She was transformed into lol because when you watch her in other programmes she has short hair even in them one's , example (line of duty) 🤔 🏴 .
This is how you make a film, you create an environment among the actors and crew where they feel bonded to eachother, like they are going on a journey together. It clearly works, because so few filmmakers can take a bunch of unknowns and get the incredible results that filmmakers like Shane gets from his actors. It shows that this is the key to perfection in filmmaking, you can't force it, but if you get the ingredients right you can make something so cohesive that it's natural. I genuinely think Shane is one of the all time greatest British directors.
They got everything so right, I remember when I was a kid there was an older skin bird living nearby an she terrified me lol, she just had a really aggressive look. The swallows were a sailor tattoo, the first one you got when you first left Port, and the second when you returned thus representing travelling and home, they also appeared on old boxers hands with the simple meaning that ,these fists fly,.

Its really weird to even see Lol with long hair. It was totally worth it to get the haircut though it fit her perfectly and she killed that role so much, absolutely brilliant actress, you couldnt imagine her not being a skinhead And Kellys haircut matches her so much too, really brings out her beauty and instantly makes her look hard Everybody looks class

Shame they weren't all asked back for the series but I get it, don't wanna bloat the cast. And it's also indicative of real life, how people drift apart.

My mum had a perm like that in the 80's, but the tips were dyed blonde. It's a good laugh to get the old photo album out
