I'm gonna miss the Night Circus shelf 😭 so used to seeing that in your videos over the years, but I'm also super impressed with what you've done with the space in the end 🥰
For the past month or so, I have been binge watching bookshelf reorganisation videos and thinking, "I hope Hannah does one one day because I really do like her bookshelf themed videos". So I don't want to say I'm really good at manifesting, but...
This was definitely one of those "I'll watch the video for the creator, not the content" LOL I have a total of 39 physical books and I'm planning to unhaul some still, I'm a kindle girlie through and through (my spine appreciates that, since I'm usually reading 4-5 books simultaneously and I used to carry them ALL around in a backpack whenever I left the house)
Reorganizing!!! Love it! I've been doing that a bit too- I have to make a bigger section for manga (for now. It will eventually be moved to an empty cart, once I empty my carts lol). Here's a trick I learned as a bookseller- with quantity, we face out a book, and it's usually an amount that would take up more room if we spined the book than if we faced it out. Do the same with some of your series, where they would take up more room spined than they would faced out. Have the first book facing you, and all the other books in the series behind it. You'd be amazed at how much room you save. If your series is longer than the depth of your shelves, do the faceout trick once, then spine some of your sequels, until you get to a point where you feel comfortable facing out things again. Some books, you should probably have stacked on the shelf, front covers upward. Manga's great for this: I have all of my Ascension of a Bookworm manga lying down flat on a shelf (covers upward, spine to the left or right), in order, and the first one is placed in front of the stack, faced out. It tells me that everything behind it, in order, is that manga. I do this because if I try the same technique as, say, your Cassandra Clare's, if they were all faced out behind the first book, quite a few of the manga books will fall off the shelf. They don't have enough strength to stand on their own as faceouts. If you'd like, I can send you pictures of what I mean, using my own bookshelf as a reference. But, I've saved a TON of room doing this.
I absolutely love reorganizing bookshelves. I don't have a lot of books yet since I used to almost exclusively read ebooks and books from my small local library, but my collection is slowly growing 💖
Next time when you run out of space just remember that IKEA sells bookshelf extentions to go on top of your current shelves lol as someone who bought them recently, I can tell that that added extension space is really worth it
This video came out at the perfect time bc I’m moving into a new dorm for school and my bookshelf has become way too full since I moved back home for me to bring it and all my books to school. So now I need to reorganize my at-home bookshelf to fit all my new books. I’ve been putting it off bc it’s such a daunting task but you’ve definitely inspired me!
You’re one of the few booktubers that reads manga and I love listening you talk about, for example, Yona of the dawn. I would highly recommend delicious in dungeon if you’re looking for more manga to read!
I'm really appreciative of a curated book collection. It's nice knowing that there is a significance to each and every book, rather than them being collected for the sake of it. And I really like how the favourite series shelves ended up, they're some of my favourites as well. Love the classic cover designs of the Shadow and Bone trilogy.
I’m not a hater, you ship whatever you want. But the Reylo community is a bit… that’s my issue. I try not to let it affect my reading. Yet sometimes it can’t be helped.
Reorganizing my books is a comfort task for me! Something that made it less daunting was making a spreadsheet, so that I could filter and reorganize them on a list as needed, and then the actual reorganizing was pretty mindless because I could work off an ordered list
Hi Hannah!! You will always remind me that your tastes haven't changed alot and YA will always exist in your life and that's so comforting to me. I am trying to avoid spicy books so your recommendations pretty much are perfect for me. I wanted to ask if Priory of the Orange Tree is YA throughout??
It was your 2017 bookshelf tour that kindled my interest in reading again. It's been 7 years since then, and my bookshelves have grown and changed so much. All thanks to you Hannah
See I love reorganizing my shelves its always been a therapeutic task for me. But now this video has made me want to reorganize my bookshelves as a little weekend treat. Lovewhat you did with your shelves they turned out great!
I was recently able to acquire two new shelves, which meant I was able to really get them looking great! Personally, I really like sorting my books by genre - so sci-fi, fantasy, lit-fic, cli-fi, and my personal favourite, "vibes" (which is just my way of saying dark and creepy, though combines more than one genre as some are gothic while others are dark cottage core). then I alphabetize by author. Although its a lot of maintenance, this is just the system that works best for me as it makes things easy to find, with the added benefit of making it easy to add new books to the shelves because I don't have to worry if it looks nice, that's just where they go! Great video Hannah!
This was perfect timing because I just reorganized my own (much smaller) bookshelf! I had so much fun with it, and also had my own dark academia/gothic section.
@@elenka775 Most of them were in Hannah’s dark academia binge video, but one of my absolute favorite books that doesn’t get talked about a lot is Summer Sons by Lee Mandelo. It’s more towards the gothic side and i’m obsessed with it. I do also love If We Were Villains though.
I love to organise and watch book organizations on RUclips and the final result with you shelves is just amazing ❤ the place full of power and inspiration 🔥
I hope that you can do an "every book I own" video like you did a few years back! I loved that video. I also hope you can make more bullet journaling content because I found the one you did a while ago so relaxing!
Bone Gap and We Are the Ants! I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else with them on their shelves! Have you talked about them in a video before? I rated them 5 stars when I read them, but it’s been aaaages, so I made it my goal this year to re-read one of my 5 star books from long ago each month, and those are two of them. I hope they stand up to how fondly I remember them.
AH! My favourite kind of video! Detailed Bookshelf Tour 2024, next please! Also, does one Manga shelf mean you unhauled all your Yona of the Dawn books? I'm so curious to know 😂
I put my Shadow Hunter books on the top as well as my Mercy Thompson series , there are just so many to the series but I love them. Now I am going to scare you, I accidently gave away a book to a series and now it is worth 500.00 and it goes to a favorite series with covers that match. UGH!
I’m so sorry I’ve been quiet for years watching your content but I have to know what shirt you’re wearing under the genius lab crewneck it is so cute as a layering piece 😮❤
Jealous of your set of UK hardcovers for the Once Upon a Broken Heart series! I was looking into those recently but you can't really get hardcovers of the first two anymore from Amazon UK, Waterstones, Blackwells etc which is so sad :( I want all paperback or all hardcover but even the paperback of Curse is larger than the other two
Maybe you know this already, but Curse will probably get a new smaller paperback after a year. As far as I know it's always like that with new UK paperbacks, the first ones are tall paperbacks and later they come out with shorter ones. 😊

definitely NEED the in-depth tour of the shelves, i need to know which editions u have of so manyyy books lmao they’re so pretty
I recommend experimenting with ways of organizing your bookshelves. Once I had no room, but after some rearranging, I had two and a half free shelves!
I love reorganising bookshelves ❤❤❤
Please come and do mine 🤣

AS A FELLOW REYLO HATER, I FEEL YOU GIRL. the moment i find out its a reylo fanfic turned book, instant DNF. No second chances
I found out that one of my favorite books is supposedly a Reylo fanfic and now I can't look at it the same way 😭
oh geez, what book was it?
@@shoshanaloomer
why do people hate reylo so much?
Can I ask why? Idk a lot about Reylo. Are books like that bad quality?

yess! i would love an in-depth bookshelf tour and also i am confused where did all other mangas go?
maybe you can order the extension for the bookshelves on the top. It would add one whole row of shelving space...
LOVEEEEEE

sorry, it wasn't clear in this video, but what is your favourite genre?
I love your special edition collection. could you tell me which edition of little prince is that on your shelf?
What other books are with your Night Circus shelf!
Oooh a Starling House arc! I wish I had one . Now they are going to have that big yellow Reese's Book Club sticker on them that are not removable :(
Lobe the video. Hopefully I'll get to my own bookshelf soon. Any updates on our next fable book?

We all have books in front of books. I have four shelves that are done that way.
