    Mach 5s all the way, done over 800k in mine and they’re still going strong, I’ve used them for easy runs, long runs, tempos, intervals, max effort park runs and a half marathon. If you can't afford to buy multiple shoes to rotate for specific purposes these can do it all.

    My favorite is the Endorphin Speed. Super light shoe which makes me feel swift and easy despite being 6"3 and 90 kg. It can be used for tempo, race and easy runs. It makes you want to go fast without a carbon plate and at a affordable price like mentioned in the video. Either version of the Speed are great.

      I agree love this shoes but Endorphin speed is « fragile » if i compare with a Nike Pegasus for example. And the cushioning is too soft to be used as a daily shoes if u want to have a strong foot… it reduces the work of the muscles of the foot.

    Perfectly synced with Kieran's top daily trainers picked this year, done 500km with Mach 5 as a daily trainer and the shoes just feel right across all training sessions with different paces and it's definitely light, agile, bouncy, and relatively affordable; in the meantime bought Speed 3 at US$105 and the shoes just excel at everything you expect it to perform and no doubt my daily trainer for upcoming training for marathon end of 2023.

    • @jefreywith1f924
      @jefreywith1f924 Год назад +3

      The Topo Cyclone 2 shreds the Hoka Mach 5 in every way. It's a lot lighter. The full-length Pebax foam is, of course, more responsive. The flexibility makes it versatile for slow or fast runs. The wide base and low stack gives it just enough stability. Topo makes one of the best uppers in the industry with the Cyclone 2 being no different. The outsole is certainly more durable than the Mach 5. Unless Topo sends the Cyclone 2 to the Run Testers free for testing they won't review them. No disclaimer at the beginning of their video on how they obtained their shoes. If anything, just to be transparent so we can judge for ourselves. I'll still watch, however, but with a healthy dose of skepticism.

    i find hard to understand what is actually a daily trainer. nobody runs everyday except for the elite runners, but even if you would run daily, it would be a different type of runs (easy run, recovery, intervals, tempo, long runs) each of these type of runs has a best shoes for it. So what do we mean by daily trainers? easy run shoes? I understand nick is a really fast runner (respect :)), but for me, I don't understand the superblast for easy run, it is too stiff and not forgiving enough when my legs are all beaten up. Of course it is all personal and nothing really matters as far as we all run happily without getting injured.

    Could you please consider making your videos consistent, with no mirrored recordings? Or flip all mirrored video when producing the final videos? It's disorienting and awkward to have some of the videos flipped, with text reversed on the shoes you are holding up. I think the consistency would make the videos that much more immersive (the reversed text trips up my brain and takes away focus), and best serve your content in providing informative recommendations and opinions. Not a big deal, but if it's as easy as running segments through a video processing app and none of your team would have any objection, I think that would be a nice improvement. Thanks!
