  • In this fly fishing gear review, Danny is hands-on with the new Escape Zip Waders by Redington.
    These are a great set of waders that are relatively affordable for top-of-the-line waders, they're comfortable, breathable, and look great.

    You're the only creator I've found that actually goes into the waders for more than 2 minutes. Thank you!

      Thanks so much for the constructive comment. We're trying to go as in-depth as possible with all of our reviews and we're glad you appreciate it.

    Nice in-depth review - I wish you really gave the zippered front a test by sitting down in a deep pool. I know Redington claims it's waterproof, but I'd like to see that in action.

      Good call. We will keep that in mind in the future.

    How good is their warranty if (when) issues arise with the wader? Nice review - good looking wader.

    Lube the zipper with Tizip zipper lube. They will zip easier and last longer.

    @Into Fly Fishing How have these waders held up for you? I've seen mixed reviews and am on the fence

    I’m 6 feet, 205 pounds. Very broad structure not a lot of extra fat. Typically wear a large. What would you recommend?

    • @intoflyfishing
      @intoflyfishing  3 года назад

      Redington has a pretty good sizing chart on their site and their customer support is great. I’d think extra large but I wouldn’t want to recommend you a pair I haven’t tried and then they don’t fit. I recommend checking the chart or asking Redington. On Amazon I believe you get free returns to test sizes.

      @@intoflyfishing Thanks for the input. How would you rank these compared to G3 Simms Guide?

    For future reviews show things like the internal pocket instead of b roll of you casting. (One is important.. one is b roll)

    I just got them in the mail yesterday. They feel like the cheap entry level waders that leak in like 6-10 months. I was expecting them to be a 3 layer system in the legs like the sonic pro hds. I’m debating on sending them back. How long have you had these waiters for?

    • @intoflyfishing
      @intoflyfishing  2 года назад

      In my experience all waders leak within 6-10 months (even my $550 waders) but it depends on how much you fish. If they feel cheap send them back and consider Orvis Pros but they’re more expensive. We fished these hard for the season and no leaks.

      @@intoflyfishing Hey so I got a 50% off discount code because my son April 18 or leaking at the booty seems. I got the escapes for the zipper feature but was expecting them to be as thick as the sonic hds. if they had the same thickness, quality I wouldn’t have any complaints. As I know thin material tend to rip easily. I think I’ll keep them sense I got them lose and they are comfortable just hope they don’t tear on brush.

      @@ramrod273 It's been a year...are they leaking? How do you like them?

    • @ramrod273
      @ramrod273 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@populousmass No they are holding strong. I’ve even washed them once. I will say that they do fit me loose and I don’t wear jeans with them like I used to wearing my old waders. I have not had one leak even going in almost chest deep water because that is a true test to see if you waders have any leaks because of the pressure. The zipper feature is awesome also no leaks. Pull the trigger if you’re thinking about getting them. They are solid waders.
