The last three years I have gone back to using PVC-waders for most of my flyfishing and restoration on the local waters. There are both pros and cons with them.
Hi Thank you for this very useful advices. Following them I just bought my 1st Waders. I feel very confortable in it but I realised that when I sit down then the waders blow up with air and the air stuck in my legs. Is it normal? or is there a tip to remove it or avoid it? Thanks a lot.
Your explanation seems to imply that waders are made from Gore Tex. Gore text is a membrane material that is covered on the inside by another material. Nylon, polyester, etc. I could be wrong, but I’m not sure waders have multiple layers of goretex, but rather multiple layers of another material to them from punctures.
@@kansasscout4322 goretex is just a membrane that”s layered between other fabrics. It’s the most expensive element and there is no need for multiple layers of goretex. One layer keeps the water out and lets the vapor through.
Been wearing hippies and wading pants for years. No more chest waders most waters unless huge water. Wading pants will suffice and are way easier when you need to see mother nature. And wading pants and hippies are far cheaper.
The best waders are the cheapest ones. You are not making fashion statement to the fish. Breathability is overrated. What is important is that one should go through thorns, poison oak and bush like a German tank. Waders should not last more than 2 seasons. Booted waders are the best knowing that if you are sunk into silt up to the knees, the next fishing hole will provide the full wash.

Oh yeah, I always have a pair of hip boots. They fill the bill for small stream fishing.
Well done video. Thank you
Patigona waders any good?
Best waders are the ones that you can afford…and the ones that aren’t too tight on the feet.

Good job
Have not worn chest waders in years , waist waders are just far more comfortable , easy to maneuver.
I’m short so the water is always at my chest
don't all waders leak eventually?
the fishing costumes are very good, safer, the fishing spots are extraordinarily beautiful...
Once you try zippered waders, there is no turning back
Once in the water all the breathability goes out the window.
If you've ever worn 5mm neoprene waders in the spring you'd know there is a big difference! 😂
I need some thing that will work in a float tube, and not leak after 7 outings
Kayak dry suit?

Other layers of material would defeat the work of gore tex. think about it

@@flyguy2021I’m not sure about other brand waders but I know simms uses multiple layers of Gore-Tex
lol sorry for replying to an old comment. Didn’t see that
Orvis!! And Orvis boots!!
Good Luck too all on the water 🎏👍👍
The Vermonter
Still leaks
The cost to longevity in waders these days is a joke.

You have Wading pants, in 99% all chest waders. That's why the clips are he-she to make a belt. Not the same, but days go from hot, too cold and wet.
Always see people wearing waders standing where they should be fishing. Been wearing waist highs for years
Dude, you need to learn how to read the teleprompter in a natural way... At least blink once in a while 😂
Wow, Im gonna chose my waders by how many times he blinks... Thanks for the most important advice. Ill take that with me to the grave! LOL
Pro tip… my waders leak but the water stays warm against my skin lol
