Downtown Bethesda used to have a really cool vintage guitar shop.
What guitar shop? I grew up in Bethesda (left in '91) and the only guitar store I remember was, I believe, on Elm a couple blocks from Wisconsin, owned by a guy named Alan. I took lessons there in HS in the 80s.
I can't imagine that Alan would have carried that guitar so I'm thinking it was another place.

The Emily Wolfe Sheraton is pretty much that but with the newer inspired by Gibson Kalamazoo headstock. They just discontinued the stealth black version, but there are plenty out there new for sale. I was just checking them out on Reverb. Now they have a matte white one as the new model.
@@B-DueceTre I actually like the Sheraton headstock better. I never really was into the Firebird headstock on guitars that weren't Firebirds.
I agree, I think it throws off the symmetry on these guitars. Looks out of place on these body styles. Rock on.

I think Dave was referring to Southworth guitars in Bethesda Maryland and they basically do vintage everything beautiful place my cousin took me there when I was visiting in in Washington d.c. Bill danoff actually he wrote Country Roads by John Denver and he was the founding member of the 70s Starland Vocal Band you might remember Afternoon Delight anyway that's my cousin we were down visiting him in DC and he took us to Southworth guitars so I think that's what Dave is referring to
