Wow I like the way you go about explaining everything, I need to do that to my 98 Nissan Altima and I watch your video and it was very helpful thank you very much brother may God bless you.
I replaced the knock sensor and im still getting the code ...why would this happen,do I need to drive it around or should it have came off automatically?? Someone help please!!
Good job, sir! I have a 2000 that needs a knock sensor, this is helpful, I may attempt to do it myself. I'll bet the Nissan dealers have a special tool or device to make it a 5 minute job. Then they slap a three or four hundred dollar bill to do it. LOL
I have been turning this bolt with a 12mm wrench counterclockwise for 3 hours now and nothing!. It won't turn at all!. I used PB Blaster and left it on a few minutes to penetrate and still nothing. It won"t turn. What should I do? How much would a mechanic charge me to remove and install the knock sensor?
+⭐ Astral Auto Repairs you're welcome and well I'm actually going to have professionals put it in cause I have not just the P0325 knock sensor code but a p0300 code to so I'm a let them look at all of that.
My car shakes while on drive as I'm stopped at a stop light, I put the scanner in and got the p0325 code, so I'm guessing it is the the knock sensor, my question is does a knock sensor also cause the car to stall sometimes? Sometimes when I take off and accelerate the car sputters and sometimes it stalls but not all the time
Ok, I will definitely change it this week, also like you said, the knock sensor is cheaper to buy online, I found a hitachi brand knock sensor on Amazon for 47 bucks, at AutoZone it's 119, your videos are super helpful sir, I appreciate you putting them online
@@OnlineAutoRepairVideos hey man i just bought a nissan altima. And i need to replace the knock sensor does this car have more then one knock sensor ..thank you
Would the knock sensor stop the car from starting? I have a 1998 Altima and I’ve felt the relay and it ticks when turned over, but the plugs have no spark. Can’t figure it out.
Thanks for the vid bro. I assumed I would have to remove the manifolds like I had to on my g20 p11. Thankfully I didn’t have to. Only things I did different, A, I recommend a ratcheting box wrench, saves some time. And B, I used car ramps instead of jacks. Good vid though.
I did mine. I had to use an retractable magnate to start the bolt. While only getting 2 fingers to turn the bolt. It was a nightmare. I will not do it again.
@astral auto repairs do you have a video on replacing a clutch on a 1999 Nissan altima gxe & what are the sensor connector & pigtails called?haven a hard time find out the name of them as I need to replace one and auto store isn't able to find it

You have to clear all codes once you replace it.

Every video I've watched on this the bolt comes right out, I've been trying for 5 hours just trying to crack it and i get nothing

Good job my brother!
Thanks Darwin

Yes, especially on Nissan and Infiniti. Now I'm not saying that this is the cause of your car, but the knock sensor can cause those issues.

I agree with you 100%!!!!
I had one come in my shop tried for several hr likely need to remove intake manifold
I may have missed it, but I believe this was a "gnat free" repair. LOL!
Tight access for sure.
Lol, yes it was, I guess the gnats said he's having a hard enough time, let's just sit back and watch.

It will cause it to run really bad, and yes, sometimes not start. Check your distributor first though.
Do you have any information on a throttle body sensor for 99 nissan altima gxe 2.4l 5-speed manual engine
Sorry, not at this time.
@@OnlineAutoRepairVideos okay thank you
Great video brother thanks
Thanks!!
I have a knock senser code and misfire code i put new dist. And sparkplug wires and plugs could the knock sensor cause misfire
A bad knock sensor may cause a P0300, but NOT a specific misfire code, like a P0304. What code are you getting?
hey how much you charge to change one out .. im from wilson nc
What is the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle?
Sounds like you can see it but it's a feel job though
Nice job
THANKS!
the maxima the knock senor is in a harder place try that one !
OH we know!
So underneath is the only way to go then right?
It's the best way, unless you plan on removing the intake, or you're a contortionist, LOL!

Is it the same for an 1997 Nissan altima
Not sure, if the part is the same it could be similar
Why did they put the P.C.V. where they did !

They had a check engine light on.

We did a 2003, is that the same: ruclips.net/video/_1pDA54LxFE/видео.html
Rockauto got the knock sensor for $8.79
That place is going to put a lot of parts stores out of business!

Couldn't make out much underneath. Too dark. You should get an Astro light.
I know, I hate doing videos in tight places like that, maybe I should get a mini camera to fit in there as well.
