    Good job, sir! I have a 2000 that needs a knock sensor, this is helpful, I may attempt to do it myself. I'll bet the Nissan dealers have a special tool or device to make it a 5 minute job. Then they slap a three or four hundred dollar bill to do it.
    LOL

    I have been turning this bolt with a 12mm wrench counterclockwise for 3 hours now and nothing!. It won't turn at all!. I used PB Blaster and left it on a few minutes to penetrate and still nothing. It won"t turn.
    What should I do? How much would a mechanic charge me to remove and install the knock sensor?

    My car shakes while on drive as I'm stopped at a stop light, I put the scanner in and got the p0325 code, so I'm guessing it is the the knock sensor, my question is does a knock sensor also cause the car to stall sometimes? Sometimes when I take off and accelerate the car sputters and sometimes it stalls but not all the time

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  6 лет назад

      Yes, especially on Nissan and Infiniti. Now I'm not saying that this is the cause of your car, but the knock sensor can cause those issues.

    • @SuchAstud666
      @SuchAstud666 6 лет назад +1

      Ok, I will definitely change it this week, also like you said, the knock sensor is cheaper to buy online, I found a hitachi brand knock sensor on Amazon for 47 bucks, at AutoZone it's 119, your videos are super helpful sir, I appreciate you putting them online

    Would the knock sensor stop the car from starting? I have a 1998 Altima and I’ve felt the relay and it ticks when turned over, but the plugs have no spark. Can’t figure it out.

    • @OnlineAutoRepairVideos
      @OnlineAutoRepairVideos  5 лет назад

      It will cause it to run really bad, and yes, sometimes not start. Check your distributor first though.

      A bad knock sensor may cause a P0300, but NOT a specific misfire code, like a P0304. What code are you getting?

    Thanks for the vid bro. I assumed I would have to remove the manifolds like I had to on my g20 p11. Thankfully I didn’t have to. Only things I did different, A, I recommend a ratcheting box wrench, saves some time. And B, I used car ramps instead of jacks. Good vid though.
