Hi I been watching your videos and just want to thank you so much for sharing I have learnt so much from you and this is a wonderful pattern I bought a few panels and this is just so wonderful so I’ll be able to make them all the best Donna from canada
Please tell me how you finished this? Looks you added just a bias edge and must have added a backing as well and maybe lined with batting and maybe some quilting? Please detail these final pieces?
Hi Carolyn. Here is a link to another quilt tutorial that gives instructions on how to layer and do a basic quilt stitch pattern: ruclips.net/video/qau4VS7znU4/видео.html Go to about 07:45 in the tutorial for those instructions. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching
Hi Vicky. After your quilt top is completed then you layer together the quilt top, cotton batting, and the fabric for the back. Next do your quilting stitches. Here is a link on how to do that: 🪡Beginner's Quilting Stitch Patterns: ruclips.net/video/jEuvmUS-078/видео.html Last step is to put the binding on. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗and happy sewing😍
Hi Jordan. Here is a link to my tutorial on how to finish a quilt after the quilt top is made: Go to around 07:37 in the video. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
Hi Hazel. You can make your border any width that you like - there are not rules. I usually like to make the white border around 2" to 3", the yellow border 3" to 4", and the green border 5" to 6". Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, happy sewing, and happy new year. 😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel Thank you so much for your quick response. I am busy with my second quilt ever! I have kept my son’s “gangsta” hoodies and I am hand sewing the queen sized quilt of uneven and unequal blocks. I am right now going to to the borders so I am a bit unsure. My first quilt was also 100% hand sewn and took me the entire pandemic during our lockdowns. The borders were easier because the quilt was for my granddaughter. This one is challenging because the borders will be plain, with the colours he wants. Your tutorial was so easy to understand. Thank you very much.
Just started putting borders on my quilt top. Did the top and bottom and then the sides (opposite of what you did here). If I add more than one border, should I always start adding in the same order that I started (top, bottom, sides)? TIA

But when do I add the batting? Do I do the quilting after all the borders are on? Thanks.

Good morning from Australia. Learned so much from your tutorial. Is there a formula for measurements if there are more than two borders?
Hi Hazel. You can make your border any width that you like - there are not rules. I usually like to make the white border around 2" to 3", the yellow border 3" to 4", and the green border 5" to 6". Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, happy sewing, and happy new year. 😍
