I bought these exact shoes a few weeks ago for running, and they are super comfortable. I don’t even need to mess with the laces - they slip on but remarkably stay secure when running as well. Today, I did a zone 2 run in them for 12 miles without issue. And I’be only been using barefoot shoes for a couple of months (not exclusively, also use my regular running shoes). Feet and legs definitely get a bit more of a workout on barefoot shoes, but I also feel like they have improved my running form and strengthened my feet and legs.
Just ordered a pair for myself. The VIVO addiction is real. Just bought my first pair a month ago and liked it so much I have 4 now... 5 when these show up. I got the Geo racer knits too and love them, they feel way more comfortable than the primus lite III. Really like how they look too. Just gotta see how durable their shoes are now
Got my first barefoot shoes pair a couple of months ago - Geo Racer Knit. Lovely shoes (walking, running) but had to return them, as the knit at the big toe developed a hole 😞 Will go for not-knitted shoe next time
That new upper does look very nice. With that sock upper is appears to be snug around the ankle where the Geo racer is a bit loose. As I've said I'm not a fan of the sole for long daily walks as they wear out quickly and I definitely wouldn't use them for running as they wouldn't last for me at all. As you said they are probably suited as a summer going out shoe, but I don't have the fashion wardrobe to make it worth it!
Yeah the upper is definitely the best thing about this shoe over other models. The geo had a tongue rather than a one piece construction right? Aha I don't have a summer wardrobe either and only figured out the other day I don't even own any jeans 🤣 just all fitness clothes ha
@@alexreader Yes it has a standard non-gusseted tongue. I did buy a pair of decon low FG 2with the new sock upper which does feel snug, but the sizing meant they have to go back. With clothing I go the other way and run in whatever cotton t-shirt I'm wearing. One of my shorts was from the bottom of the wardrobe and may have come from bags of second hand clothes I was given years ago!
I have primus lites and Knit FGs. I ordered a pair of the knit racers, hoping they could be my casual shoe. The knit for the racers is too thin allowing the tongue to fold onto it self, and it didn’t hold my foot in place like the knit FG. So after a week I returned them. I ordered the Knit Primus when I saw they have the same one piece collar/tongue design like FG. I’ve had them a week and the knit is not as flimsy as the racer’s, and in black makes them more the subtle casual shoe.
I've always wanted to get a pair from the revivo site but often can't find my size. Seems like a good idea for sure. But I don't have any experience with getting them from there yet!
How has the knit material held up (on top of the foot)? I love the feel of vivobarefoot shoes, but my Primus lite III pair started tearing around the medial metatarsal head (base of big toe). Although the sole is really flexible, the top material isn't so much, and with enough plantar flexion movements (e.g. calf raises, forefoot running etc. over the course of 6-8 months) the material has creased enough to wear out and tear. I really like the company and the feel of their shoes, but at a $170 price point, I don't want them tearing from normal use in less than a year. The flexibility of the knit version seems like a solution to this glaring (but only) issue I have with the PLIII's.
Yeah they are on the expensive side so durability is definitely important. Mine are still looking virtually new. I probably wear them 5 out of 7 days and on my feet for around 10 hours a day on gym flooring.
I love this shoe. Unfortunately I had to return them back to vivobarefoot. The ankle compression is intense causing feet numbness. I have thin ankles too. Any thoughts?
@alexreader Do you find that the heel of the knit version fits tighter than the primus lite iii? I personallhy tried the lites and found the heel was to loose for running even when lacing all the way up... was hoping the kit might work for me
To be honest I don't do a lot of that but for me probably the best model I've had for that. Purely because the knit upper is such a good fit to the foot. 👍
Great video! Thank you 😊 I’m about to buy my very first barefoot shoes and a bit worried which one to pick. It’s difficult since no physical shops are available here. So your video helps to understand what these shoes looks and feels like 👍
Thanks Nataliia, that's exciting! Yeah it is hard without trying them. You can use the online guide though and send them back if needs be! Are you thinking of getting this model?
@@alexreader yes. I was looking for the shoes for gym and like the look of this model in black. Had some doubts but after your review will definitely order them
I've had both the primus and geo knits. The Geo Racers look VERY weird. Not a good looking shoe at all despite what reviews will tell you. Hard to tell in videos but in person they look like flippers and the mesh holes look cheap. The Primus Knits look epic. One of the best looking barefoot shoes around. The fit is very different since the Primus Knits have a tight colar and are basically a slip on shoe with laces for minimal adjustments. The Geos fit like a regular shoe. Overall, between the two, get the Primus Lite Knits if you're looking for a presentable shoe for day to day activities.
That's super insightful, that's kinda what I was thinking but couldn't really tell since I haven't had the geo racers. Have you got the primus knits now?
@@CptAngelADVlogs yeah they look awesome, Ahh, I was so tempted by the white ones. The look the best I think but I wasn't sure I could keep them clean at the moment ha
@@alexreader Yeah I've made it a point to only use them for the gym and casual walks and they still get dirty. The uppers are right on top of the ground so they get dirty even easier than regular white shoes and the knit is not easy to clean. For anything punishing I have my Vapor Gloves and Xero HFS.
I really like both. These are more suited to gym workouts and inside based activies or the summer. Decons are great for out on the trails, harder workouts or winter/outside work.
From what I can gather they come up a little long like the geos. I think they are very similar, not sure if they are even longer than the geos though. I'd probably go for the same size
@alexreader Did you order your usual size or the one recommended by the app they have on a site? My usual size is 37,5/38, but it recommends to order 39. I’m afraid it’ll be too long
My biggest issue with Vivos is the durability, if your using them for anything more than the gym they won’t last long. This is what stops me using them for daily usage, for the price the sole needs to be more durable than they are.
@John I've been looking at those the past few days, but haven't tried them or anything. I don't like the look of them 😬 I know it's not all about looks but I'm struggling with those aha. What are your thoughts?

That's exactly what I've found with the upper! Not quite strong enough to do a 12 miler in them though ha💪👏
I can’t even do 10k in my normal shoes 😮 well done mate
They definitely look the part! Can't wait to get a pair to try out myself
Looking forward to seeing what you think 💪

@@alexreader black as well. I never see the white models staying clean after others bough them, Vivo's white shoes are hopeless lol

I already have the primus trail FG but will these up in the upcoming days. Good vid sir!
Love the primus trails too 👣 you'll probably like these 🥳 thanks

The tongue digging into my skin and ankle was unbearable. I immediately returned them to the seller.
Hi. Have you had any issues with sizing? Vivos used to fit small with some models.
I haven't personally, but now they are all I wear apart from some altra running shoes so i don't have much to compare to 🤣
@alexreader Do you find that the heel of the knit version fits tighter than the primus lite iii? I personallhy tried the lites and found the heel was to loose for running even when lacing all the way up... was hoping the kit might work for me
Yeah it definitely does. Not something I've thought about comparing the two it does
Do you think the Primus Lite IV All Weather are just as good but maybe a bit warmer (and still good for the summer)?
Qq? I tried virtual sizing, and it said I am 8 online, but I am always a 7 with my casual shoes. Shat would your size recommendation be?
Hmm thats a tricky one. I'd probably go with a 7 personally because these seem to come up a little longer.
How are these for lateral movements/shuffles hard cuts? Vs maybe other vivo models
