    Which would you recommend for running a 5k? I already have the primus lite III, motus, trail knit, lite knit. But I can always add to my collection if you think there’s ones that’s better.

    Great video. I can't decide which shoe would be best for all my needs or if I need to get 2 pairs. I like the motus flex concept very much but I'm concerned as you are, with the durability of a daily wear. i 'd just wear them to the gym.
    I just received a pair of trail sg all weather's in eu45 which is a 1/2 size down from my addis and they feel perfect. I bought them for soccer cleats. They feel so comfy and perfect on my feet, that I want another pair that fits similarly but is more practical than the trail sg's. I was considering trail knit fg's but I noticed you didn't include them here. OR Maybe the primus lites but I'll be wearing them a lot on concrete as daily wear. The asana's look nice but they might be a litle too loose for what I do in the gym. Also I'd like to do lite runs on concrete in them. What do you suggest?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 месяца назад

      Trail Knit FG are great - I didn't include them because they have a new iteration out and I have yet to buy and review them, so I didn't want to include an old pick that people can't find anymore!
      Primus Lite III are tried and true.
      Motus Flex is great, but if you wanna wear em in rain, I'd weatherproof the bottom/lower sides of the shoe to play it safe!
      Either way - think you'd be happy with all three of these, so I'd proceed based on price/colorway you like!

    I returned my motus flex for a size down from my normal size 43 to 42. The Vivobarefoot hydra esc is my go to training shoe for all of my speed, agility, and plyometric workouts. It offers the most stability, has the best breathability, and replacing the lace system with flat stretch laces and cord locks makes this the most secure and comfortable shoe out of all my vivo’s for training. Please review asap, this shoe doesn’t get the attention it deserves for training. Also hardly any videos made

    • @thatfitfriend

      You know, they've been on my list for so long it's time to bite the bullet. Just bought a pair per your feedback here!

    • @Allan_Garcia
      @Allan_Garcia 2 месяца назад

      @@thatfitfriend hey, just some insight. I mentioned that I re-laced the Hydra ESC with flat stretch laces a micro bungee toggle. Well, I just want to mention that I re-laced them again with slightly thicker flat stretch and skipped over the first two holes.(since they were putting pressure on the sides of my feet, causing me discomfort) This perfected my experience wearing them in every way imaginable. Hope you mention this in your review video(potential re-lace option), in case you experience any form of discomfort wearing them. I also just tie them now, thanks to the slightly thicker stretch laces.

    I'm new to the brand and looking for a shoe for strength and also to wear at my part time job (work at a hospital). Recommendation? Live in Michigan, and my toes tend to get cold easily. In warmer weather, I'd wear them outside; in winter, I'd probably pack them in my bag and only wear inside. Thanks!

    As someone with a 4E foot here's hoping for a Primus Lite Wide in the future. My III's almost make it, almost. I had to cannibalize them, lol. Elastic laces and cut threads on the gusset. But I run them without insoles and like lack of a midsole.

      @@thatfitfriend No worries, I know firsthand how hard it can be shopping for shoes when you have an extra wide foot and having high volume feet doesn't help matters. It is really helpful that you let us know how these shoes fit and what models to look at if we have wife feet and which to avoid. A lot of people do not take that into account and assume that a wide toe box will work for a wide foot. Oh, how I wish that were true, lol. So many of these barefoot companies are so close, for me anyway. Either just a few mm added or making sure things like the lace system isn't restrictive or that the upper is stretchy at the midfoot would go a long way for making shoes fit a wider array of people, I think.
      Anyway, I am still on the hunt for a perfect barefoot shoe. Xero are pretty decent in the heel and midfoot and I like Lems toe box but the sole on Vivo. Lems has a midsole, sometimes quite thick too on their lifestyle and hiking boots/shoes. Xero has a narrow toe box and Vivo is super low volume and somewhat narrow. For years I ran in New Balance and to this day they are wider, where it counts for me, in the forefoot (in a 4E at least) but I can't go back to that restrictive toe box!
      Anyway, as always, thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. It really does help!
