Can you do an updated version or just overall your favorite Christian suspense books (even if not award winners)? Pretty please? Just delving into the genre and enjoying it so much. But very little out there!

To be honest I haven't read many Christian suspense books yet but I'll have a look at my Goodreads shelf 😀

Whoa! I've read all of them except the Stephen James one. Mystery and suspense might be one of my favourite genres. 🙂 I was excited to see that Sara Davison won an award because she's a fellow Canadian and the book has a Canadian setting which I really loved. Nancy Mehl is getting a bit too scary for me so I'm not sure if I'll continue with her current series, but shes''s an excellent author! And I love the unique perspective Carrie Stuart Parks brings to her books since she's a former forensic artist and all her books include a forensic artist heroine or hero.

I really want to read something from Carrie Stewart Parks and Nacy Mehl! I read the girl behind the red rope. I think its more supernatural then mystery. The house on foster hill is pretty good.

I think I'd like to try Carrie Parks. I have some of Nancy Mehl's ebooks but I'm nervous they might be too dark for me.

I read the Nancy Mehl book mentioned, the series actually. Good but super creepy. Also read Fatal a mistake and it was really good.

How many of these books have you read?

I've been wanting to try something by Rachelle Dekker, but I've heard some things about the content that makes me hesitant to pick one up. They all sound so interesting though! Have you read The Choosing? (I think it's called)
    I really liked The Reckoning!

I haven't read anything by Rachelle Dekker or the books you've mentioned. I think mystery and suspense is my most under-read genre in Christian fiction.

I've read The Girl Behind the Red Rope and enjoyed that one. A lot of these authors are on my list to read.

I've read a few books here. First is The House on Foster Hill, which is the only title I've read by Wright. Read it once, but it was good. It deals with some topics that some folks probably would say don't belong in CF, but the subject matter is worth examining.
I've yet to finish Relative Silence, as I started it then drifted away a while ago. Parks is really good, and there are two books here, the second being Portrait of Vengence, that I would read. Before I started collecting audio, I had the entire Gwen Marcey series, although I never finished book one.
I have six of Dekker's titles, and the first book I read was Kiss. Some people consider his stuff controversial, but I never have.
Finally, I'd quite like Steven James and Nancy Mehl. The library sent a catalog some time ago with a collection of Amish mystery titles, and one was hers, but I'm not particularly fond of Amish writing.

Thanks for that Jennifer. I think Carrie Parks is an author I'd like to try sometime.

It's interesting because none of the synopsis that you read seem to mention anything Christian like.

Yes, I sometimes find it hard to tell from the synopsis publishers give whether books will be Christian or not.
