How Many WATTS Your Gaming PC Need | PSU POWER Calculations
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 окт 2024
- How much power does your system consume and how many Watts of PSU do you actually need to run it? Many PC users are still unaware of the fact that the power consumption numbers they see on their watt-meters do not tell the entire story.

I know this video will not be getting that many views because majority of the viewer will find this topic boring. But you know what? I really don't care, because I believe in doing what you really love and what you are extremely passionate for. I guess that's the different thing about me, that I listen to my heart, not the sponsors :P
🥺
This video is informative NGL. Along with some very useful tips. Never compromise on PSU while building a gaming PC. Lesson Learned. 🙂👍🏻

Can You cover Power consumption and Electric bill Calculation in Pak Terms in the next video so just so everyone knows k ye batiyan shatiyan chaske k sath chamate bhi karati hain ya nhi 🤣
I have already shot this video, you guys will see it soon
The way you describe things is just awesome. Keep making more vids dude :)
Thanks :)
Just by looking at your videos it is clear that you put a lot of effort into this. So, Keep up the good work. 👍
watched a couple videos/posts in the past about this topic , but i must say the way u described everything i just understood everything. thanks for making such contents and goodluck or future.
Thanks, glad I could help.
I'm just surprised that such a technical guy spreading useful knowledge still got 45k subs. clearly shows people value cringe more than knowledge. this makes me sad
Now this is a pretty interesting video and many of my misconceptions were cleared watching this
Keep the videos like this coming man
Man am so happy to see a Pakistani tech youtuber getting into details instead of the so called experts reading the specs of the box iykwim lol.
May allah make u a successful tech youtuber, make us proud! ❤️
Thanks for appreciating the work!
thank GOD you've uploaded the video
Man i love your content because i bought a Xeon after watching your last video on Xeons vs core i series processors. ❤️. Your style to explain things is just too great.
Best wishes for you Arslan bhai. Once again you have made a masterpiece 💟
Thankyousooomuch for making this video...am makinga PC and I had the exact same question regarding power consumption...Luckly I knew I didn't wanna cheap out on psu just didn't how much n why..You answered it perfectly. Tysm!
Aesa lgta ha ap ko kahin dheka ha
Yan yad aye pheclay saal
thanks for the guide man, you got me rolling for a bit everytime you switch languages because english is not my first language.
To look its just a vid but the thoughts and the effort behind it is INSANE
Learning a lot about gaming system from your videos bro
Fan of your videos man. Was really waiting for someone from Pak to make professional videos on such topics. Keep up the good work :)
Absolute banger video.
sir apki knowledge or jesa ap smjhaty insane 🔥♥️
Much Needed Video simple and easy to understand
Generally, computers use between 30 and 70 watts (W) of electricity, depending on the model. Computers usually use between 3 and 5 amps and connect to a 120-volt outlet. Larger desktop and gaming computers can use up to 500 W
Amazing work man..💫
Appreciate your work
Looking forward to your next video man, good content.
SUPER WORK BROTHER 💓💓💓💓💓💓👍
Why is your video title in English, but you mix language with another? I don't understand anything
You can turn on captions/subtitles from the options.
Are you drinking some bad thinks??lol

Thanks man!
That was pretty impressive video, editing bohat achi thi, looking forward to more videos
My Mann with the oscilloscope congrats!!
Thanks :D
Behtreen MashaAllah, really appreciated Arsalan Bhai..
I would also like to watch a comparison between powersupplies that are cheap power supplies that show that they are 80+ bronze or silver so are they actually 80+?
Very happy to see deep tech analysis in Urdu. Well Done sir.
For those asking in the comments, can't go wrong with any Seasonic power supply.
Admiring your content. I know this type of content takes a lot of time but we as fans just need some consistency
350-400w. Even on stress testing both CPU and GPU it won't exceed 450w. I consider 650w for most mid range builds like this. For ~280w TDP GPU & ~125-150w TDP CPU plus mobo power draw. 650w is enough but 750w is safer. Now I'll watch your video and see what you've described here.
very informative looking forward for more videos like this one. Also how can we check used power supply using voltmeter? please make a video and precautions while buying a used psu of 80+ rating
probably something like 350 watts
edit: yea, computers are very efficient nowadays and most people overestimate how much load they're pulling. for 95% of people something in the 600 watt range is more than enough. whats important is power supply features like oct, etc
Would 450w PSU be enough for Rx 6600 ryzen 5 2600
Love you brother 🙂
Thnx for information sir ! i like your video always :)
Never seen an Indian youtuber put through such content. My rig: 5600x rx6700, wd nvme ssd for os only, adata 8x2 3200 ram, currently using 80+bronze 600w cooler master, and deepcool 120mm cooler. But ordered an xpg 750 core reactor psu, is it the right decision?
Hey thanks for appreciating the work and nope I am not an Indian :P
Yup you went with the good PSU now and can safely overclock your system too to extract absolute max performance out of it.
@@GuyThatDoesEverything my gpu went bad, then I upgraded from 6700 to 3060ti, and found a 3080ti for a cheaper price at a sale, will 750w suffice for 3080ti? And I'm facing bsod too often, and games are crashing as well.
Shahid Anwar picture on 4th generation called ghareebo to every 4th gen user 😭😂😂😂
Aha! I guess you're the only one who noticed that 😂
@@GuyThatDoesEverything hahahah je je bhai ham apny dosto ko essi hi ghareebo wali awazen marty hen 😂
Last line got me😂
Bro itni late
Thanks for substiles it shows that we are watching level video.
Appreciated!
Thanks, cleared up what I need for my new build. Good video!!!
Thank you, very informative and well presented. Nevertheless, i really think it's quite overkill for such a mid-range type sytem
Very informative.
🔥👌
4:45 How did you multiply voltage by voltage and got power? And if thats current and not voltage then why does it say 34.4V and not A?
I already mentioned in the video that Current Probe converts current (A) readings to volts (V) so the voltage values you see on the oscilloscope are technically current readings. Only in the quite expensive oscilloscope you get the option to change such symbols (like V to A), but it doesn't have any affect on the output readings.
@@GuyThatDoesEverything Ah that makes sense, thanks for the explanation.
plz check karo china ki psu jo delta electronics se ati ha
i wanna buy 4060 ti i have 550watt psu
can i use 13600k not oc and 4060 ti with 550watt coolar master psu
suggest a gpu
fantastic video
Thank you, this is what I was looking for! Kinda hard to understand you, though.
Whats the draw from the wall on this?
Already have shown in the video, 330W-340W
Shukriya is video ke liye
I really appreciat bro. Mujhe to yaqeen nhn hua k ap pakistan he thank god koi to sahi se samjand wala he.. ♥️🇵🇰
450w psu enough for rx6600?
🥰🥰
Password remembered successfully

very good effort
really helpfull videoo...
Boat khushi hui pakistan mai is tarha ka content dakh kr
why do indian people speak half english and then midsentence switch to their language?
Because we have to first make sure that our main audience understands what we actually say. You can turn on the subtitles though, hope it'll help.
Starting mai laga English mai video ha 😂
for 850w psu powerd pc (i am using intel i7 13700k+ 4070ti), what ups i should purchase.
850 watt 80+ gold
Sounds like a call center from Scammer Payback
lol sorry you had to experience that :D You can turn on the subtitles though.
Awesome video nicely explained
can you please tell me about Ocilloscope if i want to buy where i can get it.?
Awesome video bro!
Long post alert
By coincidence today I tested my psu's molex/sata connector bundle as I was noticing for the last few months that my dvd drives stopped reading dvds but read cds fine , and later my main hard drive wouldn't boot. Booting onto my other win xp dual boot drive I found the main was working but very slowly. In each situation changing to the other stalk of connectors fixed the problem. But soon the dvd problem returned. Its a matter of time the hard drive issue returns as well.
Anyways I thought if the voltage wasn't being supplied but it was fine on the multi-meter so I loaded 12v and 5v rails with a 20watt 12v car blinker bulb.
The 5v dropped to 3.6-3.8 volt while pulling only 0.76amp, a phone charger for comparison dropped to 4.8 giving 1amp.
The 12v dropped to 10.5v at 1.4amp
My dvd drive pulls 2amp on the 5volt rail mentioned on sticker, no wonder it wouldn't work, the laser assembly and circuitry works on 5v only the motors are on 12v.
But this should have caused a pc crash but its a dual rail psu. one for the atx 24pin other rail for the accessory outputs like molex/sata.
So can this issue be simply remedied by a capacitor replacement of the affected voltage rails?
The psu is a 12 years old coolermaster 460.
That's indeed some very long post :P
Your PSU is way too old and is based on much older Group Regulated design hence why it's causing all this voltage drop and extremely poor level of voltage regulation. And there is no point in replacing the capacitors in such an old PSU.
@@GuyThatDoesEverything Thanks for the reply, I just got carried away typing.
Well the thing is that spare caps are cheap, replacing them is free (i have experience) while a new or used psu costs a lot more.
@@m.wajihuddinkhan1857 Replacing caps are cheap because you aren't going to get good caps here (most of them are quite old or just copy of original ones). How are you going to test each individual cap for their specifications? And how would you know which exact cap to replace? It's better to just get a good brand PSU instead or buy a used PSU, simple. PSU that hardly costs around 1.5K-2K doesn't quite worth such hassles.
@@GuyThatDoesEverything well if thats the case then I was already looking for a very cheap psu to use as a bench supply, this supply will take that place and my pc shall get a new one. Thats the most sensible solution I can think of.
coming to the fact that how i would test the specs. the sticker says it all, if they lie then capacitance can be verified by RC=t method, a common experiment that they teach in second year physics. I have done it before and its worked flawlessly. Leakage currents is just charging it and seeing how quickly it discharges by its own using a digital multi-meter which is almost ideal.
esr it a bit tricky for a simple guy like me. I am just gonna yolo it.
Knowing which one to replace is a game of tracing wires and checking which voltage is rectified by which cap after assessing it visually for obvious problems.
I have previously replaced my lcd monitor's psu circuit caps after they leaked 2 years ago sourcing them from daraz and an old dead laptop charger.
thumbs up
Nicely explained bro, but can u tell me, Power consumption for Intel i5 12600k with nvidia rtx 3070. 🙂
bhai 6700xt ke liye kitna chahiye
bhai mahinay ka bill kitna ayega?
I will be covering this topic in my upcoming video
Hi bro❤
First of all i appreciate you
You made high quality+ information contant for our customer
I ask a question you made a budget power supply video but is not budget power supply video this power is expensive for 60k budget computer buyers.
I asked the question.. can it safe to buy 750watt psu for mars gaming psu brand or cougar brand....…?
I mean this companies is safe?
Plz reply brother i will waiting for you reply..❤
Are you speaking bilingually? Some time I do understand you and sometimes I don't.
You can turn on the subtitles
arsalan Bhai abh tk apki psu wali video nahi aii 🙁
Nice Idol
max 500w
Dying light 2 or Nfs Heat, these games uses max gpu power. 3080 temps on spiderman around 66c and 260w compared to dying light 2 and nfs heat both reached 73 temps and 320w max gpu usage
At what resolution you were running at? I was running it at 3840x1600 resolution so the GPU usage was at max. The only games that pulled maximum wattage were Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider Man, hence why chose this title.
@@GuyThatDoesEverything spiderman 4k, dl2 and nfs heat 2k. but on these games gpu pushed max, anyways we can add extra 50-60w XD
May be you're missing the fact that I am using 3060Ti here and on this game it goes to max usage. Here's the screen shot: drive.google.com/file/d/1qvkIlpWTuRiubJoaNgaBkdtcxLfzMUgo/view?usp=drivesdk
Bhai 1 month hogia. Psu s3lection wali video nhi aye abhi tk ? Btw love ur content, especially editing

bro me using same exact same spec system except cpu mine is non x 5600 and 2 fans 3060 ti with 650 w power supply
And u still call your PC thora baught high end🙂🙂🙂
Is 450w enough for 970? Minimum requirement is 500w but a friend of mine using 450w for 970 without any problem.. I doubt it might blow up someday
