Years later, THANK YOU!! I have a Honda Blackmax that is actually a Husq…My god!!finding anything takes 2 deep dives. Same thing ..cable broke, disassembled, waiting for parts, fell apart…no diagrams. Thanks bud!!
Jesus this just happened to me search for an hour for a diagram and video ! Saved my neighbor hours of watching me look and act like a jack leg because I could figure it out!!! Thank you sir
THANK YOU!!!! Can't even locate these handles anymore....The new ones have an extended piece of plastic beyond the pivot hole. I too forgot to take a picture before hand.
Thank you Troy. I spent an hour trying to figure out how that jigsaw puzzle of control pieces goes together, then I got smart and search for a video and found yours. Both springs had come loose and the cable needed tensioning, couldn't get the drive wheels to turn after pushing it by hand for awhile and wore myself out. I was thinking I'd have to take it in somewhere or at least buy a new drive control ass'y, but your video saved me that cost. Many thanks!
@@colbygiles5319 did you get an answer? I'm having the same problem. 95 degrees and this is killing me. So sick and tired of trying to fix these terrible designs. (Husqvarna's reputation is seriously over inflated.)
Thanks for the view. My left, which is really the right, handle broke. So have to replace just that side. Hoping I can manage it..... well, hoping I can purchase JUST the left. Thanks again.
This is GREAT... thanks a ton. I broke a handle, went to disassemble to get a P/N and everything fell out from underneath... without getting a pic or 2 first! Ugh. Many thanks again... well done.
@@troypimenta3883 Well, I didn't get to it just yet... but atleast I have something to refer to after I get a new lever, which are very hard to find. I only need the 'R' side too. I would rather not buy a whole new assembly. :(
Thank you brutha. I was getting really frustrated trying to figure out how the drive box went back together yesterday. Now I just want to get off work and put it together right. Only 1 thing, I lost one if the white collars. Hope it works with just 1.
Thank you for this. I also crammed Vaseline into the tube end through which the cable passes. Pretty poor engineering by the designers. The wear is right there where the cable rubs against the opening of metal channel.
Troy I agree there are no diagrams online. Yours is the only video I’ve found that addresses my exact issue. I have one issue, you didn’t show how you installed the second spring. If you could share any insight on how to install the second spring it would be appreciated. Thank you. Confused!
Troy I can’t thank you enough, after reading your reply I still struggled but your reply gave me hope. I’m happy to say I got it done. Grateful for the resources provided by RUclipsrs like yourself.
Thanks for the video as it really helped. That said, I'm trying to figure out how to attach the cable to the transmission end. Can anyone help with that?

Hello Kurt...glad it helped you bud.
How did you add tension to the handle? It looks like there is about 4” extra cable on mine. Such a pain
