What a damn dream. Nick and Sierra invited us down to Denver on their way through to shoot this cover of Webb Pierce’s “More and More”. This video means a lot to us, these two have been long time friends and having them here together is something else.
The Bluebird Theatre in downtown Denver is one of our favorite venues. For us, getting the chance to shoot this session, with this great group of artists, and with such a memorable song was a day we won’t forget.

The 2 most unique and beautiful voices alive right now. This channel sparked a love for real country i never knew i had. I grew up loving punk, and still do but there is something special about the music this channel gives us.
It's proper Western.
Country is full of mostly overproduced pop crap.
Same here! Seems like a lot of this new era of underground country/folk/etc. resonates with a lot of the old punk kids haha

@@WebWheeler Nick Shoulders may be steeped in the old tunes but he played metal/punk not too long ago. Look up Thunderlizards from around 2012 and see if you recognize their guitarist.
That's ridiculous!! I mean ; haha I'm kidding!! My mother likely rolled over in her repose when the exact se thing happened to me! I've known Sierra quite sometime and even as a young gal she'd sit in with all kinds of nuts! Including acts i peddled with ; each very different from the last . She's earned all of this sunlight!! Best believe.
Jems VHS Crew became a refuge early in my isolated peroid. I first heard new / big voices. COLTER and then fella from Lost Dog street band just struck me down with his writing and delivery. I thought " this kid was in the klink with probably and fell asleep near about country's birth and woke up here in fucksville 20something
Sierra Ferrell single-handedly got me into contemporary country, she led me to the world of Sturgill Simpson and Charley Crockett. And for that, I will forever be a listener of hers (also bc she has an ancient once-in-a-lifetime voice)
The style isn't really contemporary it's traditional.

Love it!! Just semantics but what you stumbled into is old style country/Americana. (90% of contemporary country is trash.)
I'll never tire of Nick's infallibly cheerful energy.
When I discovered Western af, these two singers were my favourite & to see them duet is a special treat.

Sweet Sierra is a most remarkable woman. Her voice comes from somewhere deep in history and is filled with tradition, warmth, beauty, laughter, and everything that makes music worth listening to and life worth living.

How on earth do Sierra’s first two albums wiggle their way out of the purgatory that is Bandcamp and onto a bigger platform for more people to experience? These are seminal works of art and need to be heard. Her understanding of jazz, her fearless tendency to screw around with time and tempo, are the stuff of legend should enough people get a chance to hear them.
I got pretty magic spell, need to get my hands on that other one. Her next album is gonna be the shit though. Also can’t wait to hear what her and diplo are cooking up.
Anything Sierra does is worth the wait!

Best show I saw this year was Sierra with Nick opening at The Aladdin in Portland, OR. Hands down. Or should I say Shoulders down? I have seen many a show at the Bluebird over the years. Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks might be my favorite. Great venue, and now, pet friendly...
