This video tour of the Majesty of the Seas starts at the pool deck and upper decks and works down the ship one deck at a time. The stateroom tour of the ocean view cabin is near the end of the video. This video was shot in May of 2018 on a 4 day cruise to Cuba out of Tampa, Florida. Enjoy the tour of this wonderful Sovereign class ship by Royal Caribbean and see more reviews and cruise tips at cruisefever.net
This brings back so many memories, 22 years ago my wife and I went on our honeymoon on the Majesty. It was our first cruise and we had such a wonderful and unforgettable time. We've been on many cruises since, but this will always be our special ship
Same here, we got married on that ship in August '99.
My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon on this ship in 1992 --- wow, it looks so different now! We met some wonderful people.
This size ship is just my speed. The only drawback is the pool (too small for the # of people). I had a jr suite and it was a very nice size room, with balcony and a tub. Loved it, the food and the entertainment
We love this ship it was small but great , we went to Key West the staff was great , food was good I hope she is saved 🙏💜🕊
I loved your video !!! The fact that it has no narration allows the images to speak by themselves. I love Majesty and all of her sisters; even today they look beautiful compared to some ugly "floating boxes" from other cruise lines. Congrats.
It was a nice cozy ship for my first cruise. Not too big, and homie atmosphere we really enjoyed it
Joye Smith I think you meant homey. Unless all the homies were indeed on board 🤣
I lived on this beauty for 6 months. I must say most of my dreams are on that stage.
This brings back memories because this is the first cruise ship i was ever on!
Me too, she is a Beautiful Lady.
Me too she is my favorite ship you can’t get a better crew
Same here, 22 years ago on our honeymoon
Same here... totally agree
@@weberaudio me too
Compared to modern cruise ships she dont stand up anymore, but she will always have a place in my heart as my first cruise back in '99. Ive been on many ships since including the Allure of the Seas and still nothing compares to your first experience.
I went on this cruise when I was 12 in 2018 and at 13 I went on allure and I haven’t been on a cruise since then but this year I’m 17 now and I’m going on my first cruise since I was 13 on mariner of the seas this summer since harmony was sold out. This cruise will also have a place in my heart since it was my first one but I think it’s scrapped now
Same this has memories since it was my first cruise I went on when I was 12. I went on it in 2018
I’m going to this ship by flying to Florida at fall break, this is my first time ever going on a boat and I’m not kidding, I’ve never been on a boat ever currently and I’m super excited but worried at the same time, this looks awesome though.
No one in the gym? What time of day was this? I like that idea of a two story windjammer; haven't seen that before on any of the other classes that I remember.
Patrick Ledbetter the Wind jammer isn’t two stories it’s got stairs to Serentos, Compass Deli and Johnny Rockets
Thanks for this, ex Steiner Hairstylist checking up on my old ship to find she’s not even with RCCL anymore, the horror! It was fun reminiscing about where I’d worked, where I’d played and my favourite, “crew doors,” to disappear down.
Ahh the memories and you did her justice.
Cheers from Eastern Canada.
We got married on the Magestey of the Sea in late August 1999. Great ship and perfect size. They are all way too big now to enjoy.
I miss this cruise so much! I was there in 2005 with other quinceañeras celebrating! ♥️
Good in depth video. Thanks
I can’t confirm this is real footage . There different then other cruises they have there own theme it’s awesome I loved it
Thanks for the tour. Going in July. It looks like she's been refreshed.
Was your July cruise to Cuba too from Tampa?
I went in July we went to Mexico
Vicki Soto I went on one to Cuba out of Tampa July 2018 when was your sailing
una belleza este barco, fuimos en el 2013 y la pasamos de maravillas, está impecable, todo funciona y muy limpio. Hoy es una maravilla, así que cuando salió en lo noventas, sería una nave espacial.-
I love it
Love this ship
I went to this ship and its amazing!!
I wish i´d been on there when the first 70k tons fetival took place in 2011 :D
i’m going on this ship tomorrow! i usually go on the bigger ships, like my last cruise was the oasis of the seas.so this is a big step down so i’m actually quite happy because i don’t have to worry about a million people lol!
Clorox Bleach Well, how was your cruise and what did you think of the ship? Would you sail on her, again? Would you recommend her to someone who cruises larger ships? 😃
this is dope
Loved this so much I think we where on the same time because heard an announcement about key west I went the same time you did was so much fun so sad to hear it got scrapped 😢
I'm going in two days so I decided to watch this :p
how was it?
Ma Panha It was really fun and I recommend it!
I went on that ship 25 years ago when I was in 8th grade. It was a new ship and was a 7 day out of Miami. Looks the same! Lol
Wow, that's really cool. And that's pretty good that it looks the same, although im sure it could use some updates at this point
I went on majesty in 98 my 1st cruise. I still say I like those ships better than the monster ships of today
Crew ship and I got off today I love
Sorry I ment I got of the cruise today
I'm going in November! So excited! It's been 10 years since I've been on this ship, and I think we had an interior then, getting a junior suite this time!
Hope Davis I’m also going in November!!!!!
@@princesszainab2213 November 11 is our sail date! Junior Suite for the blacony
Mine is November 5th
@@princesszainab2213 awwwww, we'll just miss each other! Lol
I'll be on Majesty Nov 11 :)
This reminds me of the norwegian sun
I’ve been there :3 it’s litt
Wow, interesting to know that this ship is still in service. When I got married in 1997, we cruised on Majesty of the Seas for our honeymoon. The images look like it's been nicely maintained. Does not look bad.
Yes, it sure is still in service, doing shorter Caribbean cruises.
Wow my mom and I are going on this cruise in 5 days I hope it’s good
was it good?
Can't wait 2 weeks more.
She's a great old ship. Enjoy every moment!
Good vidoe
well done. I will be sailing on this in 77 days.
Hope those 77 days sail right by for you and have you have a wonderful time on Majesty. It's an older ship but still has so much maritime charm. Let us know how you end up enjoying the ship.
BeeBee's Funtastic Adventures September 30-5th October
I love its retro style! Royal Caribbean shouldn’t give up this ship!
That's what I said. A great classic ship that I hope they keep in the fleet
Right!? Ages well because she was so beautifully designed in appearance and space allocation. I like the Fantasy Class of Carnival but they get a little stuffy and clostrophohic at times.
They need to give it up it looks dumpy.
I miss this ship😔
She is the only survivor of the sovereign-class cruise ships
We really love our trip on this ship , it was not overly crowded and the staff was terrific, I hope that they do not Scrap this Beautiful ship 💜💐🕊
Its currently listed for Sale
She looks very well maintained for such an old ship.
She debuted in 1992. Its interesting to see how the Royal Caribbean ships have come along over the years. Back in the early to mid 90s, the Sovereign class (Sovereign, Majesty, and Monarch) were the largest ships in the world, and were considered the first mega liners. They were also the first ships to feature the multi story atriums that are preset on today's cruise ships.
She is amazing and you can’t get a better crew than the one on Majesty if the seas, no matter which voyage you go on you can’t get a better ship
I don't know what it is about the Sovereign Class RCL ships. I used to awe at the Monarch in Los Angeles Harbor growing up. They are cruise ships but have the fine lines of a ship. You're still aboard a ship on these ships, without the flash that the newest class has. Not putting the new ships down. But before anyone calls this ship plain, look at it's qualities. So peaceful and beautifully designed. Flash and a surfing sim doesn't mean better.
Great point, Matthew! It's easy to get enamored with the new flashy ships and overlook some of these older cruise ships that have a ton of class.
This ship was in the dry dock from January- February 2018 so it had work done to it. How better from when I went in 2016.
I was on the very last cruise before she went into dry dock. Wow... they really updated her nicely!!!
I've been on this ship a couple times before the reno. Was thinking about taking another cruise on Majesty. Is that deck TV always on? Because nothing says "relaxing poolside" like CNN.
Haha great point! Typically the screen is showing movies or different visual effects during the day. You're right that i definitely don't want to be inundated with news during a cruise. I believe during this cruise was at the same time as a royal wedding so that was being broadcasted at the time.
I went on the Majesty of the Sea November 2016 it had a horrible smell? I had one of the Large oceanview room toward top of ship.
September 26_oct 3 2020 my cruise on this ship
This was so much fun, however when I went it was thunder storming the whole time :(
Fiona Bones is there a lot of teenagers on it ? i’ve been on two different cruises and one was for younger kids and the other was for older people and the one geared towards older people was so boring lol
I’m going on this cruise in March, I think it got a good update when it was dry docked?
there was no update..
This ship looks very empty for a cruise - is there a reason? Even the pool at night is dead, is that usual?
ship was docked so he probably just boarded early
It was sold ?
I am going here in 33 days
How many people was the room for shown at the end? Obviously an ocean view room
I've been on a number of cruises and prefer the floating amusement parks (which this is not). However, it's going to Key West which is where I want to go so I guess this it will be! The sad little gym doesn't even have an elliptical machine?
Do you like carnival cruise?
I am going in december
Tanielu Failauga i went a week ago
Me too lol what date?
Is this the same ship that the 70,000 Tons Of Metal Cruise is on?
How long was the line when you boarded off the cruise ship into cuba?
The line took about 45 minutes to an hour to get through.
@@CruiseFever How about luggage tags, we are bringing two carry ons, one checked bag and a backpack. Do we need a luggage tag for all?
I went on this ship two years ago, back then i had a great time but now that I’ve booked a cruise on an Oasis class chip this one looks horribly empty and plain
Oasis class ships set the bar pretty high indeed
I love Majesty more than all the other ships. I’d rather do a three night on her than a 7 night on Harmony
You're absolutely right because i just came off the Oasis last month. However i couldn't wait to get off because it was so over crowded as well as the pool erea. It was hard to enjoy it. Lines were long as hell no matter where you went on the ship. With that many people on there just imagine but i'll say the ship is very nice. Im going on majesty again lol..
im going on this one in October 2020 so if you see this tell me if your also going we can be friends
You'll love it! My girlfriend and I cruised on it in Feb 2020 for 8 days, just as other ships were being infected with Covid19. We heard talk about the virus being on another ships but this ship didnt get infected. Lucky I guess. I'd previously been on several Carnival cruises. To me this ship is just as nice or nicer, and it's smaller than most Carnival ships, so navigating around the ship is easier on this one and you dont get lost. Food was great, service was perfect. There may not be as many eating places as on larger ships, but there was huge veriety and we were ALWAYS stuffed. Also they do formal dress night, just like other ships, which is fun. My gf and I split up 2 weeks after the cruise, but I will certainly being going back on Royal Carribian. Enjoy!
Looks very plain compared to there other ships....
It's the first royal Caribbean ship the have
nicolahero1984 Do you mean it is the oldest on still in service? The first Royal Caribbean ship was Song of Norway, which was much smaller and more plain. It was sold off and subsequently scrapped.
I’m eleven and I absolutely love Majesty it is my favorite ship. The crew is absolutely amazing she is smaller than the other ships beside Empress but she is the best. I have been on her three times because I love her so much. I’d rather do a five night on her than a 7 night on Harmony.
I agree sophie! The smaller ships are more fun, less people, less lines, more space everywhere, and the main theater had tables and drink service. You go girl
Aaron it is I stayed there and also since it is small I got seasick along with the rest of the people on the ship. It was terrible
Is there a nightclub on the ship? And how expensive are the drinks?
Carson Adams no night club, the drink package is your best choice if you like adult beverages.
I am going on a cruise on this ship in May. I have only read horrible things about it. From the small rooms to the horrible food and entertainment which is very lacking. I have never been on a cruise so it will have to do. I will definitely be looking into different ships next time before we book and waste money. The actual ports are not that interesting either.
It looks like a real ship, not an apartment building on its side like so many of the newer ships!
The small class ships are great for a 3 day cruise. Not crowded and as you can imagine service would be better. Keep on cruising from Art at Ubingtravel.com
there is only one pool?
Yes.
There yse to be two but they removed it for the splash zone
Why do cruise ships have to be any bigger than this perfectly sized vessel?
I often ask myself that same question.
I’m going in February.. anyone else??
Julianna Demoran ... Not in February but,
we’re taking our 2 kids in 2 weeks on their first voyage. Our 2 oldest (now in college) enjoyed themselves on this ship in “2014”. To this day, they are still in contact with friends they made in the teens club!
She’s older & small but she’s full of fun & great memories. 🤗
Have fun 🎉🎉🎉
I am!
This is the only one that disembarks from New Orleans...
Is there a nightclub?
This one here looks quite boring! I will stick with the Oasis Class.
For an older ship, it doesn’t seem that bad
Those were my thoughts exactly. Sometimes people write-off older ships, thinking they are just falling apart and lousy, but there is a lot of charm to this ship and it was a much better experience than I had anticipated.
hahahah i just heard someone speaking in my language :)
For $33Million it's yours
I didn’t like this ship. It only had one pool, no adult area, or night club. Although the food was good and it had a nice casino.
It's definitely on the small side of their ships, and of course it's been around for a while. But you're right that if you want a bunch of pools it might not be the ship for your cruise.
Someone looking for a fancier ship does not want this one. This ship is a good fit for the Holland America traditional cruise set. It fits that style of cruising.
Curita HUGHES u said no night club dang I going next week
Looks small and plain
