Russia says it will closely monitor the course of the NATO summit. This was emphasized by the spokesman for the presidential office in Moscow, Dmitry Peskov, on Tuesday, pointing out that the transatlantic alliance has declared Russia an enemy that must be defeated. The Russian government sees NATO as fully involved in Ukraine, Peskov told journalists. The heads of state and government of the 32 NATO states are meeting in Washington on Tuesday for a three-day summit. The meeting will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the transatlantic alliance.
