Thanks for all the great videos! I have binge-watching all your videos since the first time I saw your channel! Your channel contains exactly the information I have requested for a long time! The videos are very good quality, and the music is also very good, but I have a small problem with your audio recording. Personally, I think the quality is too low, and sometimes I find it hard to hear what you are saying in the video. I hope that you will take my message reconsidered and perhaps improve the sound with new equipment. Thanks for your time, and thank you once again for your creative videos. Keep them coming! ;)
Hi there Sven! I'm relatively new to the fine clothes scene and I'm also very young (a high school student) so, I don't have much in the way of income... but I desperately want to elevate my style to a higher standard then my peers (Living in Tennessee it's not that hard, but nonetheless I like being well dressed) So as such an authority on the matter of fine clothing do you have any advice for me?

Raphael have you ever heard of the shoe brand meermin? They offer a good year welt with French calf leather at a 175 USD price point. Love to hear your thoughts on them
Number 11, my father would turn in his grave ....if he wasn't still alive... I was taught that the 'tie dimple' isn't proper, a sign of dressing in a hurry, I never realised it could give a little texture. Tie dimple translates to 'pisgootje' in Dutch, and if you translate that back to English (literally) it would mean: 'little trough urinal'.
It's counterintuitive, but the tie dimple is actually visually attractive. Thiss gives a slight aura of imperfection which makes the wearer more visually interesting as a whole.
Death to tie wrinkles. Dimples, indeed. If you say they are "slight imperfections" then they are imperfections. Avoid imperfections, do a tie up properly. No wrinkles, and covering the top of the shirt fabric at the collar join.
While I tend to disagree that a dimple is bad, there is a "proper" way for the dimple to be made. Both side edges of the tie should ALWAYS face back toward the wearer, and the dimple should be dead center. I can't stand tie knots that are asymmetric as well! You should never see the part of the tie that wraps around the neck (should be 100% covered by the collar), and it should lay flat against your chest.
Hello Sven I love your videos! I tried to sign up for the newsletter but I did not recieve the pdf book on 15 style mistakes. What did I miss or what can I do? I would really like that pdf book. thanks :)
Raphael, you have talked about different types of jacket canvas before, but is this the same for shirt interfacing? Can it also be sewn instead of glued?
You mean like, "Just don't"? Bandanas (which are actually just colored handkerchiefs) are for cowboys, not gentlemen. Gentlemen carry handkerchiefs to give away or share (see the movie "The Intern"), not as a visible clothing item.
The moths don't eat anything. they lay eggs that hatch out into larvae. It is these little blighters that eat your clothes. After that they pupate to become grown up moths that fly away.
Raphael. I love all your videos. Something I would like to add to the inspiration 'hack'. I find Pinterest works better than any other site. It allows for multiple searches and then one is able to save a pictures that suits one's liking
Great video. How about you do some kind of room/closet-tour? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to see your wardrobe as a whole.

Thanks for the support and the feedback! We do our best.
I hang my shirts in the bathroom when showering. The steam makes it perfectly moist enough to iron with a non steam iron.

If I have a pen mark on the shoulder of my suit jacket can I still use the rubbing alcohol/hairspray to remove the stain?
Every time I watch this guy's videos I can't help but think he's a missing character from Mad Men.
You guys should do a new version of this video
I like to see the inside of your closet. :)
I wonder if the paper roll hack would work for the jacket part of the hanger.
You are so awsome, it's great information and a pleasure to watch!
Can I ask what tie knot you're wearing here? Looks good!

Is it good to starch your clothes so they look better?

the volume of this video is so low
Do you smoke?
No, why?
Because in your latest video about manicure, I asked you about the name of the jacket you wore, and someone said that it is called 'smoking jacket'
Tip number 7 on stuck zippers- You can also use graphite such as the tip of a pencil because the graphite acts as a natural lubricant for the zipper!
If you watch the video in full, you'll notice that we mention graphite.
