LYRICS
I got more love than anything else
But a Jezebel spirit gonna steal my health
Struck by the notion that it just might be
A method to the madness that i cannot see
Something for the freedom of a roughed-up soul
For the two Years Young is a little bit old
Born named sue sing a Tennessee tune
Got buffalo love living on the moon
Save this lady for me (x4)
Call me Alabama i'm a Seminole prize
Got time square hair and a bedroom eyes
Keystone cops and the billy bob chops
Gonna scare my kids gonna share my crops
Vampire blood and a baseball glove
Justa a little bit of what the girl is made of
National crash into the big lampoon
With a creature coming up from the black lagoon
Save this lady for me (x4)
Losing ground true sounds of liberty
The forest of the north might hold the key
Rocking to the rhythm of a ragtime band
Black flag wave on on my truck my man
Blasting for jones and the great unknowns
Got cheap cologne seventy-six trombones
Looking for the lady that won't be afraid
When heaven needs a hammer gotta get things made
I got more love than anything else
But a Jezebel spirit gonna steal my health
Save this lady for me (x8)
I'm discovering little gems from RHCP all the time! This is a great tune!
👍
Matt Leach
Same, it’s been around 6 years since I really got into them(I was 14) and I’m still discovering tracks to this date.
¡Estoy descubriendo pequeñas gemas de RCHP todo el tiempo! Esta es una gran melodía
backwards guitar solo at 1:05, so subtly amazing. John Frusciante is my favorite musician ever.
do you know falling by john frusciante? :) it has even more amazing backwards guitar play
Google Line 6 DL4 Modulator. ;) Johnny-boy's a beast.
If they release an album with all these b-sides, it might just be one of the best albums. Just like with I'm Beside You...fucking brilliant
I’m with you
Haha what they waiting for XD
Kinda sounds like Slow Cheetah and Especially in Michigan. I really loved it. The guitar sounds at the ending just....
It's all about the guitar.😉
It's all about John :D
Indi Sugar Taufik hode
Idk how this sounds anything like either song. Two different styles completely, but sure
Just what
I keep finding rhcp songs that i've never heard before and it can't be more amazing. it just never ends. i love it
still trying to figure out why the fuck there is a fucking color changing pacman in the video
lmao
Yeah, but why so?
I was actually answering Fyodor, ahah
Pacman ate some chili peppers.
Francesco Abruscato Hahahaha
"boy named sue sing a Tennessee tune got bufallo love living in on the moooooooonn"
awesome song ;)
the best band of the world ...
Chad has some amazing drumming in this!!
How have I never heard this song before!? It's incredible. Im ashamed of myself.
Such a beautiful song like all RHCP music!! Super-bowl half-time show 2014!!!
Excellent B-Side recorded during the "Stadium Arcadium" sessions, I also love "Mercy Mercy", "Million Miles of Water" and "Lately". They need to release a B-Side box set consisting of every B-Side recorded between "Californication", "By the Way" and "Stadium Arcadium". They also recorded a few for the "Greatest Hits" compilation (the 2003 release).
One of my favourite chili peppers tracks of all time
i discovered this , summer 2011 and i listen to this all the time
John Frusciante is simply a god when it comes to making riffs.
Flea and John compliment each other well when they play.
I'd forgotten about this song for so long. One of my favorites - and maybe the only SA bside that didn't make it onto Spotify?
RUclips autoplay brought me to this. Beautiful Song, so glad i discovered it.
They should definetly do a B-side album
A lot of their B-Sides are just different versions of their A-Sides. This song is basically a different version of "She Looks to Me."
If you listen to a lot of the B-Sides you can really match them up with their A-Side equivalent. Try it.
GuitarGuy2387 rivers of Avalon, b-side to by the way. Sounds really close to This is the place. Which is in my opinion why it was excluded from the record
espicially in michigan vibes too
The beggining sent chills throughout my body & i was lyk ":O ...wait its just typical John being his awesome self with the guitar ^_^"
Can't wait until their next album in spring. I'm definitely seeing them next year on tour!!!!
damn man! this is amazing
john the best!!!!!!!
they are the same people exprssing their selves through their music. if that feeling that sound makes takes them away then I think its ok to use it again and again.
@MooseHunter911 this song was written to be included in Stadium Arcadium (which was originally supposed to be 3 separate albums, reduced to a 2-disk album). The song was released as a B-side to Desecration Smile in Feb 2007.
Jooohnn cmmon :( We miss u so much
But he's back
Fleeee!!!
The beginning kinda sounds like "Are You Experienced?" by the JHE.
drewper73 Voodoo child to me
Yeah...sounds a little like both songs.
Well yeah John Frusciante is practically a white Jimi Hendrix
redhotchilipepper432 I don't know about that. How 'bout this? He can sound just like Jimi sometimes.
+drewper73 Yeah I can live with that
@minimizzelstat He is the most influential guitarist since Jimmy Hendrix.....But Clearly the world best Guitarist EVER.........
I agree. Most of their B-sides in those eras are just as good or if not better than the studio tracks. Bunker Hill is one of my favorite songs by the Chili Peppers, but not many people know about it.
Totally agree ! But this one is my favourite !
Was Omar Rodriguez by any chance on this song? Similar guitar passages to Especially in Michigan which I know Omar does play on.
i think this song holds some of a.ks best lyrics =)
don't let fear take control of your life, live.
i love songs like this. you know when they recorded it based on the sound. its the same basic outline as especially in michigan. RHCP is one of the best bands to ever play music. please come back john frusciante
He is back
one of the few pot one hot minute songs i like
@misterfreekie1996- If you go in you parents attic you may find a source of music we used to call "records". They are a flat, black disc and carry a sound long forgotten. A long time ago artists would put their "big hit" on an album (record) and studios would put another not-so-popular song on the back. The "hit" song was the "A" side, while the other was a "B-Side."
Yes it does!
RHCP keep it old school, newer music genres gotta make way for the bands that honor the fathers of our music
amazing song
Red hot chili peppers and the cure both do fantasic b-sides!
Its a lick from the song Are you experienced de Hendrix!
thx for sharing
awesine
Slow cheetah is a prophecy 😎
@johnmacdee Wow, best RCHP I have heard in months, thanks a whole bunch. Now for the million dollar question, how to get the original tracks ? Most likely not available.
Do you have any other Red Hot Chili Pepper B side vids on RUclips? Great song :D
remix of especially in Michigan in slower version VV....i mean it hear the same....but still it's a good music ^^
2:00 losing ground to sounds of liberty
This kind of reminds me of some of the stuff off of by the way and californication in some places
"Vampire blood and a baseball glove" Kinda reminds me of the baseball scene in twilight. I can't really see the connection between vampires and baseball though :P
mlk eu to procurando essa musica a muito tempo
Im here!! Where are YOU!??
this should be the official music video for the song
In the right speaker john plays the intro riff with muted strokes (not palm muted), in the left speaker he plays the exact same riff but only reversed.
Why is everybody whining about a b-side compiltation? I mean, it would probably make an awesome album, but all those songs are already out there, you know? It's not like you need that compilation to listen to those songs.
PACMAN!!!! RHCP!!!
That stuff at the beginning reminds me of Hendrix's "Are You Experienced?"
it just does.
I'm still heavily considering seeing them this year live this summer (hopefully). I still have mixed feelings regarding "Stadium Arcadium" (even though there are indeed a lot of excellent tracks off it). "By the Way" still ranks to be my favorite of their work.
Did you see them
am I the only one that thinks red hot has lot's of better b-sides than a-sides?
love their a-sides too tho
b-sides ftw :)
i don't know why this song isn't in Stadium Arcadium, it's awesome
Why they always make awesome B-side songs? Wish this one was included in the album.
Yep.
Like the Red Hot Chili Peppers? I totally agree! ;] but don't get me wrong this song is pretty awesome!!!!
Are you using Google Chrome? You can download an add-on, which allows you to download videos, and FormatFactory is a brilliant program for converting files.
hmm can't get this one out of my head now, wondering why it didn't make the album
The only band in the world thath has not got a song thath you really cannot listen to thath is saying a lot
you should upload runaway, kickass song
Save this californiiiien
B-side is a song they recorded but never put on an album, A side is a song you would find on an album
@Kickaholeinthesky88
completely agreed dude. I'm attempting to bring back the older style of good music with the music i write. Hopefully when i make it big i can change some peoples views on music.
que buen bside!
Hey, anyone heard something like "slow cheetah", "Especially in Michigan" at minute 2:01 ?
Maxi Cortese maybe slow cheetah
no you put in the url, the site works its magic, 30 seconds later BAM you got yourself a mp3 file.
El rasgueo dios *o*!....
@inFamousMun hahahaha! now that you mention it :D
John channeling are you experienced? Begin his jimi on
My heart is breaking... How can this be??? Its not real. It Can't be.
Satan is waitin`for me!
@Martothe111
1. Body of Water
2. Bunker Hill
3. Rivers of Avalon
4. Quixoticelixir
5. I'll be your Domino
I would kill to know where to download this :P
Reminds me of a cross between "Machine Gun" and "Are You Experienced?" by Hendrix
@lukat93 hahaha, that explains a lot!! that always mind boggled me so much, they would be total geniuses if they could do that lol
I coulda sworn that Pac-Man was orange just a minute ago...
So people would be like, why Pacman, and I could be all like "Don't know mate"
@lukat93 indeed
i never knew they made this song
Please send me some b-sides without them my life is incomplete haha
John.
@lukat93 the intro a little yea but not the song . the percusive palm mutes...
It sounds extremely similar to "Especially in Michigan"
It does a bit!
@margarette86 that's what i thought, and i searched through the comments to see if anyone else noticed it xD
i never understand how people like frusciante and hendrix have reversed solos that sound so good. im curious if they play a solo they like and reverse it to see what happens, or if its planned out, i feel like that would be a hard thing to plan. anyone know?
ye they make amazing b-sides, but think otherwise, it those b-sides would be on albums, and those album songs would be b-sides ( makes so much sence lol) then u would say that those b-sides are better than a-sides... such a paradox.
@b1gguy7 same here.
why they didn't put this song in the album stadium arcadium?? I think that some b sides are better than some album songs
the verse is extremely similar to especially in michigan
@ShankCrank ooh it would be so cool , to be cool with you , i said a lordy lordy
It is not an insult, it is just my personal feeling about the song. If I wanted to insult them I would say: Frusciante should have got back to drugs instead of going back to Peppers in 97. Something has change in his mind after his departure from the band in 92. He's not the same man and I blame the drugs for it.
