I just want to share with you today from my heart some things that I have learned over the years to help you build your relationship on hearing the Lord's voice from your heart. We always need to be following our heart. Never override your heart.
The Spiritual Side of Life
As I listened to my new pastor, Pastor Frederick K. C. Price, he said something I never heard anyone teach before.
Hebrews 12:9 (NKJV)
Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the FATHER OF SPIRITS and live?
Then Pastor Fred Price said, “Do you notice here in this bible verse that God is the Father of spirits. Did you know you're a spirit created by God? God is a spirit. He is the Father of us because we are spirits. God is our Father and we are His children. Did you know your spirit communicates, spirit to spirit, with God because He is a spirit too?”
The bible says:

I have never heard anyone teach this simple truth that we are spirits created by God. This teaching felt right and gave me peace in my heart. I had a deep knowing that this was true.
This was the simple answer to the question that I was searching for all these years. How can we communicate with God?
I said to myself, “Yes, I am a spirit, that’s right, I am a spirit, I am a spirit created by God, this is how I can communicate with God, spirit to spirit, He can speak to me, He can communicate with me and I can speak to God because we are both spirits. He is my Father and I am His son. And if we can communicate with one another, then I need to be listening. Father, I will be listening with my spirit, I will be listening from deep on the inside, my inside heart, I will be listening with my heart.”
So how do we hear with our spirit?
How do we hear with our heart?
The answer is that the Spirit of God inside of us - speaks to us a witness, a knowing that we are the children of God. God lives inside of us. This one thing is what distinguishes us from the world. No other religion states that their God actually lives inside of them, because their god is not real. Their God is only of the intellect. The Holy Spirit is real. He's our teacher. Jesus said that He is our guide.

When we give our lives to God and are born again, born from above, the bible says the Holy Spirit tells us on the inside, in our spirits that we are children of God.
Romans 8:16 (NKJV)
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
HE TELLS US ON THE INSIDE WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD.
The Holy Spirt bears witness, testifies or speaks to what? Our spirit. You are convinced you're a child of God because of the Holy Spirit telling in our spirits. We are settled in our spirit that we are children of God.
The Holy Spirit on the inside of us is telling us we are children of God. If he can tell us that we are children of God. He can tell us other things. He is communicating with us.
So many Christians denominations think that this is bizarre and that you are crazy if you can hear from God. This whole book of the Bible is based on people who heard God and heard from him. From Genesis to revelations.
This is the way the church in the book of Acts operated, listening to the Holy Spirit on the inside.
SEEMS GOOD - HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD

25 it seemed good to us,
Luke wrote this passage of scripture.
He was part of the early church, and he and the early church pioneers recognized how the Holy Spirit operated. He is showing us of an example of how they followed the Holy Spirit, He shows us how we to can follow our spirits.
Let's take a look at WHY? Luke wrote the book of Luke in the first place. Why did he write it? Let's take a look.
Luke 1:1-3 (NKJV)
Did you notice that the Book of Luke was written for just one man. A man named Theophilus.
Did you also notice that Luke said, “It just seemed good to write this book.” Luke did not say he heard a voice from heaven, or that an angel appeared to him and told him to write the account of Jesus life. No, Luke says that “it just seemed good on the inside to write the book.”
It seemed right on the inside -
1) STRONGS CONCORDANCE - “IT PLEASED THEM!”
2) AN AGREEMENT ON THE INSIDE THAT THIS IS RIGHT OR WRONG
3) YOU CAN SEE ON THE INSIDE THAT IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO!
Luke was a very smart man and he was a doctor. He was not using his mind, reasoning, logic or emotions to hear from God. He just listened on the inside where his seemer was located, In his spirit to the Holy Spirit. (in french seemer is called Il semblait).
