I got to try this racquet and the gravity pro yesterday. I agree with everything you said except it didn’t feel unstable and had quite a high launch on forehands. It was similar to my old diadem elevate but more power. The gravity pro was strung way too high tension and was more work than it was worth. The extreme tour definitely felt better than the new ezone. The ezone was too flimsy for volleys. It was tough going back to my duel g 330 after playing with the extreme. Also, I can’t believe how cold it is where you are. It is easily 100 degrees F with humidity every day here in New Orleans for me.
Haha its starting to get there in temperature for sure - id say the missing 3g in the specs had to be off the head, it was unnatural i reckon, i had a similar problem with a strike 16x19, but a 2nd one i bought was totally fine, its worth at least a buy for me, to see what its really capable of - agree with the ezone, havent hit with tour just yet, but it feels pretty hefty in my hand, SW 332-335? no confirmations on average yet Launch angle was still ok for me, but i wasnt using my spinny strings yet, alot of my shanks fell in from the spin though 🤣
Wow great review! I have hit with a ton of rackets and this frame to me is neck and neck with the TF-40 305 & 315's and differs in exactly your descriptions. The low launch angles of those were deal breakers for me, (also both 98 but 18-20). I ended up buying the Extreme MP but I'm most likely going to replace it with the tour since the MP is really hard to control! (quite different rackets LOL..). My Extreme Tour version is also more head light and so I will try adding some weight at 3 and 9 as you said and I think my Lynx Tour 17 at 53# probably needs to be down in the 50# range as you had? I also have a Gravity MP which I like as well for the same reasons. Thanks for taking the time to review this and with the spot on comparisons! 😊
Appreciate it Jeffrey - i always have gone with a 45-48 range for most racquets unless very tight string pattern, and only 50 if its very hot - reason being i want to avoid any overusage of racquets or strings that might be too stiff to handle over a sustainable time, so i'm looking for longevity if i play with poly Extreme Tour i found that a power string actually worked really nicely, and maybe even a smoother string was better, because it already had spin capabilities, and i wanted to lower the launch angle and spin potential, but improve the pop, so although i dont often use it, alu power was very good in my opinion, too expensive though

Hi, do you have any ball recomendations for this surface? I'm playing on the same kind of surface using Wilson US Open, but they die too fast, meaning they start bouncing too low after 1 hour or so. Thanks!
Slazenger advantage hardcourt are pretty good, they arent fully heavy duty, but they are good quality and longer lasting than the general premium ball, good feel from the first hit, not like a championship ball which feels like a rock sometimes new

Extreme Tour can feel fine if you use the right strings that are soft enough, but the new Extreme Tour is much more softer, and can be more compared to the Gravity Pro , this one is definitely on the stiffer side, but when it's weighted up and lower tension, then it's totally fine to me
Friend, how can I make this racket a more powerful and stable racket? Obviously adding weight, the swingweight is low in my opinion, I feel like the air slows down the racket. But at the same time I want stability and swing speed in the head extreme tour. Adding a lot of weight at 12 o'clock starts to vibrate a lot, even with an anti-vibrator. If I put six grams at 12 o'clock, how much counterweight should I put on the grip? Or rather, what could I do to achieve what I mentioned I'm looking for in the racket? I would appreciate if you can help me
I found adding too much weight at 12 alone was not good enough, you need to add weight throughout the racquet, so either at 10 & 2 o'clock, or also add some at 3 & 9 , how much it depends on you, ive never seen you play or anything Just remember, if it is a control racquet, it will always be a control racquet, adding weight of course helps with the physics, but if you cant swing it fast enough then it becomes counter intuitive
5:09 This reminds me so much of the Speed MP. With that racquet, it was such hard work to hit through the court as the racquet's very open drill pattern would want to launch the ball up and then straight down. The pace of the shot just seemed to get lost in the loop on the ball.
I guess most people will say it's closer to the Pure Aero's, since it's Heads competitive line, but i havent used them in so long 😅, you only know what you know 🤣 I enjoy hitting with mine, i havent customized the one i actually bought yet, and still hitting with the factory, strings, will be good to see what can do after a full tinker
@@ACTennis Pure Aero is kinda different though as that has booming power that you can use to blast your way through opponents. Racquets like the MP and the Extreme Tour are much more lower powered, less stable etc. I don't like 'em. They seem good 'on paper' but I wasn't convinced by them on court.
It's strange since Speed MP 360+ is much better at controlling launch angles compared to Pure Drive 2021, Clash, Extereme MP.. The pattern is opposite to open. I can flat it out perfectly. Check your center mains on bottom of the hoop. Around 4.8mm! Combined with Solinco Tour Bite Soft. It's LETHAL.
I bought one in proper spec, no lead, i didnt find either to be underpowered, but stability did improve in the proper one i bought, demo was bit lacking in stability Havent personally tried PAVS, not available over here, but generally flimsy wrist cant handle Babolats, until PS98 gen3 Extreme Tour is quite comfortable , and i like it quite alot even in stock
Sorry! I haven't had a chance to try out the VS, as it's incredibly expensive, and not i'd be able to spend that kind of money on it, no demos available here unfortunately
When you're comparing to the EZone 2020, do you mean the 98 (non-tour?) or 100? When you say much more controllable power, do you mean that the power levels are overall similar but you found the Extreme easier to control, or that the Extreme has a higher power level but that it's still controllable? Yeah sorry, Ezone 98 305g 2020, power levels are similar in comparison, Ezone may even have slightly more powered on full fledged swings, but almost no control, Extreme Tour provides a comparable level of power, but also with a good level of control, similar to that of a Pure Strike, but in a more comfortable setup

Like the format. I’m currently using a Gravity Tour. Like how it feels on impact, although the hoop could be a little firmer. What annoys me is maneuverability. Playing my DR98 side by side. I like it’s maneuverability and how the weight is more uniformly distributed. It’s about 10g heavier than my Tour (off spec), but doesn’t feel that way. What I don’t like about it is that despite the same RA, it feels so much stiffer. I think the hoop is a little too stiff and all the flex is on the throat - I miss the sweetspot too often I end up with a tender wrist. Anyway, was wondering if this Extreme Tour would be a nice alternative or if there’s something better out there.
Honestly sounds like this is totally in between the two, flex is as nice as Gravity, and perhaps slightly firmer, very small differences but enjoyable to play Sweet spot i feel no jarring at all, with my flimsy wrist, its very friendly on the body My Gravity does have some more ball pocketing i think, but it could be that its been restrung many times now and become more flexy Also of all my racquets, its definitely the easiest to swing and use, you just wont get the same control as a 18x20 Gravity, but control is better than the Gravity MP, it does alot of things really well without any weight added PS thanks for the support, i tried to do alot better with the ezone review in terms of voicing, never done this kinda thing before 🤣
Vcore Pro 100, easiest to use, most power, forgiveness and spin, not as comfortable and not as fast to swing Extreme Tour most controlled, low powered, great spin, not too forgiving, pretty good manoeuvrability , needs alot of weight Speed MP - enough power, enough spin, lots of forgiveness, very comfortable, very manoeuvrable
Combination of string and tension, if you strung with a control string, it wouldnt produce enough penetration, something a little bit more lively and slightly lower tension works better i think
I did buy one, i tried only a couple setups, i personally liked something along the lines of Alu power at 48 the best in it, if you used any sharp or shaped strings like confidential or head lynx tour, i was getting too much of a launch and not able to flatten the ball so easily, also made me feel a little disconnected, and at some times the wrong string will be a little too stiff

Yes it will have more spin with height and launch angle, but Pure Strike will give you alot more penetrating ball, Vcore 98 probably similar aswell, the Extreme Tour has good spin but a little more control focused with a lower power response compared to the other two - still decent power if you can generste it yourself

Hi, I play with blade v7 and having issues due to the high swing weight. Would the Extreme Tour be as plush as the V7 and would transition to this from a V7 be easy in your opinion? Hard to demo rackets so I’m looking for something easier to swing
Easier to swing yes definitely lower swingweight , no where near as plush or soft though, i think youd get easier power from the Blade v7 still as well, if you have access i would highly suggest new ezone 98 if you want soft, easy to play and lower swingweight

Ahaha i thought it was pretty fugly at first, but in person it looks a bit nicer, it's more of a predominantly light grey racquet if anything, yellow isn't so much noticeable unless you keep the super fluro replacement grip uncovered
@@ACTennis With tennis reviews, it's really the quality of the insight / assessment of the pros/cons of the racquets makes it a good quality review. Video is still needed of course, to get an idea of the trajectory of the ball off the strings, power levels, the ability/inability to hit through the court etc. I think your reviews are really good but I often just watch a coupe of mins, then listen to the rest on the train :-)

I have the radical pro, i've used it here and there, have a rough idea of how it plays, but i'm kind of preparing for a tournament at the moment so just lowering the playtesting for the timebeing , will look to do a video on rad pro soon

For me probably id play better with Vcore 95 but Extreme tour different playstyle and may just be as good if you suit it better
Hi, I play with blade v7 and having issues due to the high swing weight.
Would the Extreme Tour be as plush as the V7 and would transition to this from a V7 be easy in your opinion?
Hard to demo rackets so I’m looking for something easier to swing
Easier to swing yes definitely lower swingweight , no where near as plush or soft though, i think youd get easier power from the Blade v7 still as well, if you have access i would highly suggest new ezone 98 if you want soft, easy to play and lower swingweight

Ahaha i thought it was pretty fugly at first, but in person it looks a bit nicer, it's more of a predominantly light grey racquet if anything, yellow isn't so much noticeable unless you keep the super fluro replacement grip uncovered

I do love the RF97A, wish the new one coming would be a lower RA though, bit harsh on my flimsy wrist over a session, but so good in many categories 😁
Voiceover is definitely more useful than captions as you can listen to audio in the car, train etc.
I never planned to do actual voice over, but i'm glad its not turning out too bad 😅😁👌
@@ACTennis With tennis reviews, it's really the quality of the insight / assessment of the pros/cons of the racquets makes it a good quality review. Video is still needed of course, to get an idea of the trajectory of the ball off the strings, power levels, the ability/inability to hit through the court etc. I think your reviews are really good but I often just watch a coupe of mins, then listen to the rest on the train :-)

Haha sorry, never got around to it because my city kept getting locked down at this time for a very long time, didnt have a chance to play tennis because they locked our courts and i was also injured

Have you playtested radical mp and pro?
I have the radical pro, i've used it here and there, have a rough idea of how it plays, but i'm kind of preparing for a tournament at the moment so just lowering the playtesting for the timebeing , will look to do a video on rad pro soon

@@TheodorosKolokotronis799 Nah i sold it, needed to make space to afford other frames, i preferred it with a power poly and round, alu power or pro line evolution worked well

Thanks mate, just from Australia, i dont know why it seems so damn cold 🤣, but usually our winter is not even comparable to Europe, it's probably like tshirt weather for them, but i hate the cold, so i layer up quite heavily

@@TennisFamily I would usually feel something in my wrist at 50lbs in this weather, but nothing at all, its a very nice soft feel, not muted and not too flexible either
