Locking the screen for underwater (without the dive housing) is a great tip. I had to figure this one out on my own. 🤙

What do you mean? Please explain. New to all this ,so that's why I ask. Thanks

@Rowen170 for some reason, the GoPro thinks you're touching the screen while underwater. Locking the screen prevents any setting changes.

2:01 great tip about two-button control!! Never knew you could do that by pressing both buttons at once :D

I've spent years diving with GoPros and JUST learned about this. This is HUGE.

@@GoProTips honestly - this is a big one! No more attempting to fight the water's capacitive properties. Love it

The thing you really want are underwater lights... that's where it really makes a difference... infact they're using them in this video ...

Gopro tends to reflect green tone heavy underwater due to the auto white balance. I hope one day Gopro really use their camera to go diving and test out.

Is there any way to record underwater without holding the gopro

Best feature for me is the screen lock to stop your GoPro accidentally changing settings mid shot, I have missed many great shots in the past that way!

If you really want a tipp for snorkeling: Buy a snorkeling-mask that goes over your whole face. Some of these have a mount for an action cam so you can swim with both hands and can film all you are looking at. Worked perfectly for me

Full face masks work great on the surface and changed the landscape for snorkellers, especially when starting out. Only drawback is that you cannot equalise when you want to dive down deeper.

@@AAAdocoolstuff I saw some more expensive masks that offer that as well. I don’t know how well that works
