that is for me one of the best soundtracks i have heard from world of warcraft, the first moment i heard it i got some tears because it reminds me of lotr a bit
The music in TWW is overall outstanding. But this piece of art, with the choir, when it dropped outta nowhere when I was doing the side quests in Hallowfall made me stop doing anything and just listen to it. I was shocked of how much of a true classical form of music this soundtrack has. Completely blown away. And yes, Eric Whitacre came to my mind instantly too.
I guess every musician playing the game will extremely appreciate the breathtaking level of those compositions. It's really, to me, next level soundtrack writing.

the classical in this soundtrack is a great return to form from Legion.
Indeed it reminded me immediately of Eric Whitacre. I saw him (and a choir) live a few years ago and will be going this year again. Goosebumps. And this comes very very close.

Literally the first time I heard this, I was awed and could only think of Eric Whitacre. I’m glad I’m not the only one!
This was the first thing that came to mind. I had the privilege of being part of the Brigham Young University Singers at the time of recording many of his songs. It was something I will never forget. This gave me flash backs. So beautiful.
Leo Kaliski, beyond the shadow of a doubt, took inspiration from Eric Whitacre and especially Sleep.

Diese Musik geht von der Psyche bis in den Körper - das erste mal Heilsturz zu erleben war unglaublich stark. Was für ein tolles Gebiet, diese Scene, die Musik.. es fühlte sich wie ankommen an! The best music in this expansion is at that last building/cathedral close to the crystal in Hallowfall. The one at the start of this video. In other news the new zones are very small, with the new flying system I took less than 1 min for a complete tour, in Hallowfall you can see the last building right from when you enter and in 10-15 seconds you are there. As much as I love this new type of flying, it takes away from the immersion with such small zones.
the saga is 3 expansions so they are focusing more on less zones now i think. at least that's what they said in blizzcon. WoW has always been this way though with music. you hit a great sweet spot and then it's just ...gone. Elwynn forest man...

No matter how deep WoW sink and fall...one thing for sure...Blizzard Never and I mean it NEVER disaapoint when it comes to sound tracks and Cinematics quality.

This has feels of the softer songs from Bear Mccreary who did God of War + Ragnarok

I’ve played since Cata and this is the BEST the game has ever been. You are allowed to move on but don’t spew bullshit that isn’t true.
@@Huntamin77I think you're desperate for it to be that way but it's just not. Maybe Legion came close but Blizzard is a shell of what it was.
@Huntamin77 and I've played since Vanilla day 1. This is the most exciting WoW has been since those days.
Game did fall off. But once again, it has risen from the ashes.
