      @bradfordskeldorado  10 месяцев назад +1

      It's possible that it could fit but I would recommend a bigger power supply. The 3060ti is 200W vs the 4060 110W. This limits the options for GPU upgrades but I would still recommend the 4060 at $300 new!

    • @bradfordskeldorado
      @bradfordskeldorado  8 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely! This with a 4060 would run cyberpunk at 1080p high preset it will get 60 fps and RDR2 on 1080 ultra it will get 70fps! Of course I would recommend upgrading the ram with the 3200AA stick from A-tech just to make sure you don't run into any issues with these games that demand a lot of ram. Thanks for watching!

    • @bradfordskeldorado

      The RX 6650XT uses about 176W. I personally would recommend a 4060 just because it's such a low power draw and is very comparable to the 6650xt. I am a fan of nvidia though but you should have plenty of power but running the higher wattage components can cause the power supply life to be reduced. I hope this helps!

      If you're buying a new rx 6600 xt then I would recommend buying the 4060 for $30 more. The power draw is about 50W less than the RX 6600 XT. Just for pc longevity and the 4060 performs better than the AMD gpu too.

    I have the 500w 80plus gold version with the 3060 + 15 12400, I've had the pc for about 6 months and want to look into upgrading or even doing a case swap. From what I've learned the power supply is not swappable but I was wondering if it was worth it upgrading my gpu or just taking the gpu and cpu and starting a whole new build just because the HP components have a limited amount of things I can do with them. PS. Is it possible to do a full case swap if I buy a new motherboard?

    • @bradfordskeldorado
      @bradfordskeldorado  8 месяцев назад

      So if you buy a case with fans pre-installed then you would only need a psu, motherboard, and acpu cooler to complete the swap. You could probably do the swap for about $300-$350. If you're OK with keeping the case, then you could always just upgrade the gpu to a 4070 and have a good boost in performance. Only thing is, that will run about $599

    • @Exoticts_
      @Exoticts_ 8 месяцев назад +1

      @bradfordskeldorado So I can just go straight to a 4070 without having yo install more fans? I feel like a 4070 would get pretty hot in this little case no? Also where's the best place to find cases with fans pre-installed, and also is it not possible to find like a barebones case with everything but a gpu and cpu ? Thanks so much for the reply!!

    • @bradfordskeldorado
      @bradfordskeldorado  8 месяцев назад

      The 3060 and the 4070 is very comparable when it come to power consumption and the airflow would be similar between the two. You can find cases on Amazon for around $60-$100 that most of the time only have case fans installed. That's why a decent psu($80-$100) and a new mother board($100-$120) would allow you plenty of headroom for upgrades in the future. That would only leave a cpu cooler because the original cooler most likely won't work with an aftermarket motherboard.

    • @bradfordskeldorado
      @bradfordskeldorado  8 месяцев назад

      I always recommend the 4060 because of the low power draw being 110w vs the 3060 having 170w but not only that, but the 4060 cost $299 vs the 3060 being $299 (new). The 4060 will perform better in regards to fps. But if your friend is getting a used 3060 for $150-$200 then I'm sure that is what would cause them to want to go that route then I'm sure the 350w power supply would be OK and run FiveM with ease

      @jordanwalker7972 I wouldn't recommend the 3060ti just because the gpu consumes 200W of power. My concern would be putting the power supply to its limit and shorten the life of it. The 4060 only uses 110W so that's why I recommend it.

      @panics4719 so you will remove the old gpu. The rear slot in the case that the old one lined up with, locate the one below it and bend it back and forth until it breaks off, allowing your new gpu to have the slots available for inputs. Then just line up the pcie slot and press the gpu in until you hear the retaining clip click. Once it's in, just close the retaining door on the gpu support bracket and you're good to put the case panel back one. Then when you load up the pc, download the GeForce Experience program for your new gpu drivers. Install the program and the program itself will detect what gpu you have an will download the latest drivers. Then restart your pc and you're good to go!
