@@kettnercreative Question... Are you familiar with running multi audio interfaces simultanuosly within a DAW through the Aggregate option in your Audio MIDI Setup (Mac)? If so, will the MG10XU be detected as another "audio interface" through the Mac? I haven't had a chance to try it out myself, but I was wondering if you ever tried it.
Bro thank you so much for this tutorial. I’m new to using mixers and bought this one specifically cuz you can use your iPad with it but couldn’t figure the whole setup out. Liked and subscribed! Thanks again!
I was about to plump for that TASCAM model 12 ….. and then I saw this…I already have a Yamaha ag03 and it was EXCELLENT !!! I do like that the TASCAM can be used as as daw controller as well as MTR and AI…. EXCELLENT TUTORIAL ..
I love the MG12XU because it has faders, clear and bright on/off switches for each channel and it has an audition button for each channel so you can set the gain for each channel without raising the main volume to 0. And it has a more accurate volume meter with more notches. And it doesn't need an external power brick because it's built in and the panel is at a nice angle because it's tilted.

Hi! I've been using my dynamic mic and the background noise is really zero when i use it with my creative soundcard. But when i used my MG10XU, the background noise is really high. Are there any ways for me to decrease the background noise?
This mixing console is more than enough to make professional sounding music. It's that good. Super clean pre amps with great clean output and perfect USB recording ability.I would also recommend Behringer XR 18 for multi channel recording. It's my next purchase and it's compact as well.
Thanks for the video - I was hoping for the next step where you lay down another track while monitoring the first two on the DAW via the desk - is that because the MG10XU can't work that way? (I want to work out if I can get away without having a separate interface for DAW recording)
Hello, and thank you for your good and nice explanations, i have question please, if you could explain how we multi record from Keyboard workstation avoiding duplicate record track. Thank you .
I learned some valuable information here, thanks. However, what I was searching RUclips for was for a different kind of multi-tracking. I want to record music adding one layer at a time, but I need to be able to hear the computer output in headphones without them recording them a second time. For the first track, I would need to be able to hear a click track. This would be best if I could have the headphones from the mixer so that the computer and its fan are at the other end of the room. I have not been able to work out or find out how to do this yet.
You can do that with the Yamaha. Press the USB button on channel 9/10. Leave the second button up on 9/10 and the click track will only come to your headphones.
Yeah that’s disappointing- i purchased this without checking further- I was expecting at least 4 inputs but to know only captures 2 is a serious bummer.. I have a tiny usb interface that can do that job.

Hey man, quick question. Got the usb and got it setup on my DAW (audacity) but when I do the playback it doesn’t play back through the mg10 from the DAW, I’m new to this stuff so I may sound dumb but I can’t seem to figure it out. Hello & thank you for the tutorial, it worked for me with Logic Pro but the I can’t figure out how turn off the metronome even though it’s turned off 😅 is there a way plz ?
Hi Jordan, that was excellent and I do want to have that mixer. The only question is, can you connect two active 12" speaker to hear the recording? Thank you.
I understand that you can record two inputs. Can you record the stereo output of all the mics being used on the mixer? Can it be recorded as a stereo pair via USB?
"stereo pair via usb" that's a combined question. The usb will output a stereo signal no matter the inputs. If you pan the inputs, you can turn this mixer into a multi-track ...outputter, for lack of a better word (it's not a recorder) ...as in a 2 track recorder. However you pan the inputs will be sent via stereo out. This thing is a ...what...10? input device? 10 input 2 output. 10 in MIXER...2 output...left and right.
Thank you for a helpful tutorial! When I am recording piano and vocals simultaneously the sound is split in my headpohones due to the left/right pan. Is there a way to record and hear the sound merged as if it was not panned? Thanks for help.
Okay.... here's my little problem. We have a band. We're about to do a pre production using this very same console I just bought. I'd like to be able to record all three miked up guitars (2 string and one bass), and all four drum cylinders (using the XLR inputs). Can this be done ? With each a separate track ? Thanks a million to anyone out there who can answer me. Especially the Kettner creative guy. I'm wondering if there's a way for the guitars to be recorded with the 1/4 jacks in the top middle part, while also playing full blast.

hi, why are Fake Yahama analog mixer have BlueTooth feature?
-this is useful for cellphone use
Okay.... here's my little problem.
