I really enjoyed watching your video ! It's like a small part of fresh air in the middle of numerous random videos reviewing again and again and again and always saying the same thing... keep going !
Thanks for the reminder and push to create. I share the thought on creativity. Use it or lose it. It’s been hard with a new baby but I’m going to make an effort!
Video came at a perfect time ... Experiencing a creative block on a big project of mine and i spent days sitting and trying to force myself to think ... but i now realise is that instead of forcing it, i need to start creating anything so that the creative juices can get flowing and i find myself in that creative zone .... as usual i really enjoy your videos Jordyn .. keep them coming !
Love this!! Seeing the creative process and how it leads to final shots is so cool. Also, just the practice of trying new things and experimenting as you create is inspiring and challenging and I think it leads to growth. As someone who likes to stay in a creative comfort zone and stick with what I know (not much 🤪) and then starts to get bored with all my shots and videos all starting to look the same, I can see how purposeful experimenting and playing with new ideas can be a necessary part of developing one’s craft and also might just rejuvenate the creative process. Oh and Experiment #3… WOW!! Waiting for the bee might have been my favorite part 😂 but the resulting clips with that sound design.. AMAZING!!
That was great. I really enjoyed the result with the slow shutter. I just bought my R5C, 30 mins ago! came here for inspiration. thanks for such a great video.
Really enjoyed the delivery of this video and testing the features you’re not familiar with. Personally feel the slow shutter examples would be a very good option within filmmaking for certain psychological scenes in a thriller..I get that vibe with it. Congrats on the Canon sponsor.
This is an inspiring video. You took us BTS and we were there while many of the scenes were being shot. However, the surprise of the "reveal" and we see the final result of you filming and also your editing was just incredible. You are obviously very talented and thanks to Canon for acknowledging that!
Love this video. Especially because you used the R5c. I have it but not a lot of creatives use it or know its full capabilities. After this I'm going to grab my R5c and shoot some creative stuff. Thanks Jordyn!
The BTS shot of you and Evan spinning made me so happy! The slow shutter speed one looked really cool too! That camera can do insanely slow videos! The first story clip had no words but still had so much going on, good work! Did you ever think about doing light painting in video with the colored lights you used as lighting in that shot. What about spinning like in the second part but with colored lights! I bet that would look cool with cars too! I see myself using the bad lighting excuse sometimes. I'm so glad you chose to dispel that myth! I also noticed the flip screen, that looks super useful. You've got to be careful with those. I had a Sony A6300 and the screen stopped working. Waiting 20 minutes for a bee, that's so relatable! Also unrelated, but you looked super happy the whole video and it felt real. And the pants you wore throughout the video look so good, you should get an affiliate link for them!
Brilliant video and amazing experiments. Love that slow black and white one in #2 would love to see how you done that in post and settings on camera I shoot with a LUMIX S5 and very early in learning video shooting. Any tips to growing into a more dynamic film maker. New sub here great video thanks for sharing
these experiments were so cool! we loved the results, and the creative process behind it all!
