    This all reminds me of 'Image Streaming'. It a practice that develops visualisation. My experience was that I would start seeing purple-violet flame like streams of color that becomes clear images and its almost lije seeing a movie clip in your mind. Im still training.

    I remember being a bit shocked a few nights ago, when I went to sleep I could've sworn I was on a Mind Machine program because of the intensity and frequency of flashing images right before going into sleep.
    Wasn't really freaked by this, as my gf was near and that made me feel safer as I explored that intense hypnagogic 10 minute substance free trip.
    Amazing
    It did prompt me to think of the epileptics in the begining of it.
    Although there is a guy here on RUclips - Adeptus Psychonautica - that trips pretty often and IS INDEED an epileptic.
    Interesting content, keep it up, Mat!!!

      I'm not sure why but I've never been comfortable doing that. I've done it before live in front of an audience several times. I think I did ok with it, but I never felt like I did good. I may do it in the future though. Would be good to expand my skill set.

    Great content! New subscriber here. Do you have tips on staying awake long enough to experience hypnagogia? I go from closing my eyes to sleeping/drooling in less than 5 mins 😅

    • @LucidExplorers
      @LucidExplorers  2 месяца назад

      Awesome thanks and welcome to the channel! Yeah here are some things you can try (in no particular order)
      Go to sleep earlier than normal (1 - 2 hours should be enough)
      Take a cold shower directly before bed (ice bath if you have one or fill a bucket with ice water and ladle it over you lol)
      Take a small amount of caffeine before bed like a hot tea or a soda
      On a side note though, being able to fall asleep fast is actually a really good thing because that means you only have to maintain your conscious awareness for a short time before you enter into stage 1 of sleep/hypnagogia. The last two tips above could help with maintaining your conscious awareness longer. But something else you could try is basically doing a meditation. Find something to lock your awareness to (so you stay consciously awake) and then just wait till hypnagogia starts. Another thing you could try is going to sleep with your arm bent at the elbow and your forearm facing up. Then drift off to sleep and when your arm goes limp and falls it'll wake you and that will be your cue to start consciously paying attention and waiting for hypnagogia to start up again. You can also try looking this up "the Salvador Dali, Thomas Edison Technique". I have a video of it on my channel. I'll try look it up and link it

      I didn't re-watch these vids so I'm not sure what I actually talked about lol but judging from the titles I assume I must cover the Dali Edison Method some

    while falling asleep, if i were to focus on the colours going on behind my eyes while falling asleep would i enter the state?

    • @LucidExplorers
      @LucidExplorers  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah definitely that can work great for getting to hypnagogia lucidly aware. And if you get lucky you might even have a WILD and be able to enter REM lucidly aware also

    Hi I know this is an old video so I hope you answer but do you know why I can't get into the mode? I do everything well I wake up in the middle of the night and intend to do wild And I relax every muscle in my body and I realize that I do get into a state but not to the level where I hear or see things and I try to continue but even after half an hour nothing happens, do you know why?

    • @LucidExplorers
      @LucidExplorers  Месяц назад

      thanks for the comment! sorry for the late reply though. I like that my channel is small enough that I can still get back to everyone's questions.
      To answer your question, sounds like you're on the right path. A few things though. Perhaps put less emphasis on trying to have a WILD and just focus on staying in the hypnagogic state as long as possible before you lose conscious awareness. Sometimes simply taking the pressure off of trying to have a WILD is the trick to actually having them. Also I wouldn't pay much mind to trying to have sounds kick in, unless you know you are already audio oriented. I rarely get sounds in my hypnagogic state. Sounds don't normally kick in until I enter REM and start having a straight up lucid dream.
      When you reach a half an hour of trying do you lose consciousness and fall asleep on accident, do you give up on purpose and fall asleep, or do you fully wake up and go do something else? I sometimes play around in hypnagogia for well over an hour... it can sometimes give you insomnia though, but as much as insomnia sucks, it is great for playing around in the liminal states once you start getting closer to sleep. It is also a great opportunity to have WILDs as well.

      thanks for commenting! I probably answer the majority of the questions you have in my older videos. I have my playlists mostly organized. Here are a couple links to some of my older stuff on hypnagogia. Feel free to comment, email, or DM any specific questions you have. Also if you want to hop on a call or something and do it that way I'm down.

      @@LucidExplorershi, I found your RUclips from your TikTok page which I’ve started following as well and want to say thanks for the content 💗I think I see hypnogogia and sometimes it’s quick scenes (ex: cup of water then a Chinese dragon then a rollercoaster etc) but other times it will be a full blown scene with dialogue and I’m not sure if those are dreams I’m falling into or still hypnogogia

    • @cestmoi914
      @cestmoi914 Год назад +1

      When I realize I’m watching a scene it disappears before I can start focusing on it to try and induce the wild. I’ve recently started trying the hypnogogia method and after less than a week I had my first lucid dream but I wasn’t sure if it was a WILD with a few seconds of lost consciousness or a dild. But this method is the first to have given me a lucid dream and I’d like to master it and eventually be able to do wilds on command

      @@cestmoi914 yeah that sounds exactly like the hypnagogic progression. Starts off with quick images, then progresses into more full on scenes. Most of the time when the happens you're still in hypnagogia. Although if you were going for a WILD you would follow those sames steps. The main thing that makes WILDs hard is that you have to go from stage 1 of sleep (where hypnagogia is) directly into REM, which typically doesn't happen when first going to sleep at night, so you have have to combing your WILD attempt with WBTB
