Guided Meditations & Meditation Apps... and my Waking Up stats 👁
The pup is in Dreamland already lol
Ive had the most success with full rotation. I think you'll learn it too eventually, you pick up a lot of unexpected abilities before. Its like lying on the center of a table that was picked up and rotated for me.
yeah I have a hard time with that one and have never managed to do a full 360 turn. I typically can just feel a leaning sensation. And once that's happening images start popping up and then I just transition into the "phase" that way
Was this a hypnogogic hallucination? I feel “alseep” as an afternoon nap but since I was stressed before I went to sleep, I was having more conscious awareness and vividness than usual. And I noticed I was “dreaming” when something in the dream seemed odd from real life and I became lucid. Then I did the nose pinch reality check, and suddenly I was seeing my self doing it in real life, rather than going into a regular lucid dream, or noticing the transition of waking up after doing it. It’s like I was somewhat awake at the same time.
Wow interesting, so doing the nose pinch reality check actually woke you up. Next time if you're already lucid, instead of doing the nose pinch test or any other reality check, you could try doing a "deepening" technique instead. My general goto technique for that is my Active Staring technique (you can search my channel for a more detailed explanation of it if you don't know what I'm talking about). Another deepening technique that could try though is simply rubbing your hands together or grabbing and inspecting stuff in the dream scene that you're in.
Oh to answer your first question though. Hypnagogic hallucinations are the images/thoughts you're having as you approach and are in stage 1 of sleep, which is a very light stage of sleep. A good way of describing it is when you're lost in thought as you drift off to sleep, and then say someone wakes you up, and you're like "damn why'd you do that, I was just about to fall asleep"... haha if that makes sense.
All I could pick up from reading about what the area of the brain is that's most involved in executive function and critical faculty was that it might be the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Only today did I find out that the cerebellum is actually involved in one of these faculties. I thought about it, and the cerebellum is basically what makes humans human, brain wise. It's at least the most recent development contributing towards our full human-ness. It would make sense that the cerebellum might be an area concerned with faculties like lucidity, testing against the idea that your environment is as familiar and normal as it seems, having the realization or making the decision in the first place to do the test, and doubting even before that that you are actually awake.
thanks for the insight man! and mahalos for dropping a comment
kaikuaʻana! Lots of new content, I love it. Hypnotic imagery reminds me of when I used to meditate in front of a mirror and sometimes I could see my reflection behind closed eyes. Those days are long past but man were they fun!
Aloha my brotha! Haha I had to google kaikuaʻana... you taught me a new Hawaiian word lol mahalos for that
Do you have any links for those eye masks? They sound fascinating!
The mask I had was called Remee Sleep Mask. They use to sell it on Amazon but I just checked now and it looks like it is no longer available. Here's a link to a different website I found that appears to still have it luciditydreammask.com/products/the-lucid-dreaming-mask
And sorry its so long i just really want to succeed. And thank you
Oh and if you happen to mess around will THC it can be really great for hypnagogia... it's super terrible for lucid dreaming though
Hi I know this is an old video so I hope you answer but do you know why I can't get into the mode? I do everything well I wake up in the middle of the night and intend to do wild And I relax every muscle in my body and I realize that I do get into a state but not to the level where I hear or see things and I try to continue but even after half an hour nothing happens, do you know why?
thanks for the comment! sorry for the late reply though. I like that my channel is small enough that I can still get back to everyone's questions. To answer your question, sounds like you're on the right path. A few things though. Perhaps put less emphasis on trying to have a WILD and just focus on staying in the hypnagogic state as long as possible before you lose conscious awareness. Sometimes simply taking the pressure off of trying to have a WILD is the trick to actually having them. Also I wouldn't pay much mind to trying to have sounds kick in, unless you know you are already audio oriented. I rarely get sounds in my hypnagogic state. Sounds don't normally kick in until I enter REM and start having a straight up lucid dream. When you reach a half an hour of trying do you lose consciousness and fall asleep on accident, do you give up on purpose and fall asleep, or do you fully wake up and go do something else? I sometimes play around in hypnagogia for well over an hour... it can sometimes give you insomnia though, but as much as insomnia sucks, it is great for playing around in the liminal states once you start getting closer to sleep. It is also a great opportunity to have WILDs as well.
How deep is Hypnagogic state??? When I meditate I usually count to 300 breaths. Usually around breath 100 I feel my brain sink down or a noticeable change in state. Then I reach the visuals stage. Random visuals will appear and I just observe them and let them pass. I will begin to get the beginning of sleep paralysis and my arms and legs will go numb/stiff. What is past this visualization stage??? I am trying to get to pure void emptiness, but I always just sit in this state with random visuals. Is there something to do in the random visualization stage?
Awesome technique! I do pretty much the same thing just minus the counting breaths part. I've also been trying to get to awareness in the void (which believe is being consciousness in deep NREM/sleep stage 3 & 4 stuff) but I've never been able to do it directly from hypnagogia. I've had experiences that seemed like the void before but I've only been able to do it from the REM state so I'm not sure if it was actually in the NREM stages of sleep. If I use the same hypnagogic technique after WBTB, or if I'm sleep deprived or dealing with insomnia and go straight from stage 1 of sleep into REM then the images suck me in and I enter a full on lucid dream.
Will definitely be helpful to try, I've only ever managed to rotate on my feet-head axis so far. Like head goes right, feet goes left, or a barrel roll.
Oh wow your head and feet sometimes rotate in opposite directions! Did you do that on purpose or did it just start happening on it's own when you were trying to barrel roll?
@@LucidExplorers I think maybe I didnt say it right. I meant to say I either barrel roll or I rotate like I'm floating on my back. Looking up or down for me would be like tumbling off of a diving board. Luckily I think these false body orientation sensations tend to quickly dissipate once other imagery fills in and competes for your attention.
@@ct-hv1uz oh yeah that is how it happens for me too. I very rarely exit my stencil and end up in a dream scene that looks like my bedroom. I think I'm use to entering the "phase" through imagery that I end up defaulting to it all the time
Listening to old episodes from the 1990s, I recall Robert Monroe and Dannion Brinkley being on Coast to Coast with Art Bell. They discussed the distinction between an out-of-body experience (OBE) and astral projection (AP). An OBE is described as an unintentional occurrence, similar to a near-death experience (NDE), whereas AP is an intentional act of projecting oneself outside the physical body.
Oh I bet that would be a cool listen! I'll try find it on RUclips. Thanks for bringing it up
I just found this one! ruclips.net/video/vcAXSv5A9iY/видео.html
@LucidExplorers First and foremost, rest in peace, Art Bell. I wish we had a voice like his today. There’s a reason why he is considered the GOAT in his genre, covering UFOs, the paranormal, spiritual, otherworldly, and fringe topics. I highly recommend checking out the Art Bell's Coast to Coast episodes with Dr. Albert Taylor. If I’m not mistaken, there are two or maybe three episodes featuring Dr. Albert Taylor, which focus on astral projection. These episodes are absolute BANGERS. Additionally, look up another guest from Art Bell's Coast to Coast, Preston Dennett. This particular episode aired in 2015, during the later years of Art Bell's career. Initially, Preston Dennett was invited to discuss his UFO research, as he is a well-known UFO researcher. However, early in the episode, Art Bell discovered that Preston was not just a researcher but also a practitioner of astral projection. Consequently, the show shifted focus to astral projection, making it another absolute BANGER of an episode. Believe it or not, Preston Dennett and I have become friends. We talk on the phone and text, which has made him not just a friend but also a mentor. Without question, he has taught me a great deal about astral projection.
@@shanedockter390 Awesome! thanks for the recommendations. I haven't heard of either of those two guys. I found a bunch of episode with Robert (I'm pretty sure they were all from the same interview though just split up into shorter youtube vids) it was a great listen

haha that's a trippy ass dream for sure! Especially how it transitioned to you carrying a celebrity after.
@LucidExplorers yeah ikr! I asked ai and it gave me some interesting Insight

@@LucidExplorers oh I just used the ai on Snapchat. But yeah it's pretty cool!
Neat channel.
Thanks for the comment man! Mahalo
Super interesting discovery man
Thanks! It's been working super well for me
I found that as I relax into sleep there is a point where my physical eyes completely let go. Once they automatically relax into that position I then can stare straight ahead without moving or worrying about them. I honestly think it’s because perception has switched from the physical eyes to the 3rd eye. I can then ride this third eye position all the way to dreamland. It took me a while to discover this, but it gives consistent results.
I love it! I do it pretty much the exact same way
Wow, that was very nice from you to explore my remarks and give some feeedback on that. Thanks a lot !!! Peace
no prob! thanks for dropping such an interesting comment
I had a lucid dream this morning using this technique as well as Michael's practical alarm clock mp3 which can be found on his Remspace website. RUclips won't let me post the link here, but you can find it by searching for Remspace how to lucid dream.
Depending on how you look at it, it *might* not even be accurate to say they aren't real. Everything in a dream is (apparently) being generated from your mind. You could say the whole dream IS you, in a sense. You could say that they might be fictional characters "dreamed up" by your mind, but maybe its fair to say that they are parts of you that you are not consciously aware of. I don't know. Consciousness is weird. I'm just musing.
@Carl_Frank yeah that's a good point. I can see how since it's all generated by my mind, they are in a sense just as real as I am in the moment. I think the only real difference is my conscious awareness that isn't normally present there is when I'm lucid so I'm really just saying they're separate from that. I tend to look at lucid dreaming as a teamwork thing tho between your consciousness and your subconscious. You're essentially building a working relationship with it... and even when you're super lucid the Subconscious is still king up there
Hey man, I sent you another email on your Yahoo account. I think you'll find this one quite interesting as well. Actually, there are two new emails I sent you. Seeing these videos about the phase has blown me away. Once you read my email, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. I'm speechless about what this book entails, but in a good way.
Precognitions arent dreams, they are time lapse into actual future memories. An example: I saw President Kamala in 2019. Its 100% certainty. No one can stop what I witness and is always reality. A precognition is not a premonition or guess work, its time travel.
@EchadLevShtim that is cool!.. haha I wish my dreams worked more like that
For me I remember this dream hold impact on me the whole day. I don't think it was lucid dream since I was not able to control where I wanna be and all those things. But I was aware of my mind I could use logic and think in my dream. And then I started to talk with my sister in dream and in the middle of talking I said "you are no real". And then all of suden the beautiful scene turned into war and she was yelling at me and saying thing on my subconsius level. All things thar bug me in day to day life I remember I was so scared and confused and then I woke up. Could you tell my why she got so mad and started reveling all things that bug me. Ty NOTE: English ain't my native leanguage and I'm too lazy to use chatgpt 😂😂
@tomislavsamsung haha no worries about the English thing. Your spelling and writing was better written than noat comments I get haha. Shucks tho can't help u much on why it caused your dream to change so much and negative because my dream characters pretty much never care when I tell them it is a dream. Granted I rarely say they're not real exactly. I just tell them, hey this a dream! Wanna go flying lol. Sounds like a kinda neat experience tho even tho it turned negative. It's does sound to me like you were at least semi lucid. Sometimes in my lucid dreams I can't control much but I still know I'm dreaming in the moment
i have a question, if you set an alarm. how can you "not move" when it wakes you up & you need to turn it off? any tips?
You only set an alarm for first time you wake up (after 6 hours or so of sleep). Every awakening after that should be a natural awakening. When it comes to my Modified WBTB technique though I do set multiple alarms. My MWBTB technique is a little different from what Michael recommends with his Indirect Technique though. For me I just turn it off then as I fall back asleep I start committing to memory dreams from earlier in the night and as I do that I watch for hypnagogic images to start popping up and then try to enter into the Phase that way.
@@LucidExplorers okay thx for spreading all this info!
@@ccordyceps 🤙🏽
Had a dream getting shotted at the stomach, i fell down and can't move.
@DarkoVarick luckily I haven't been shot in my dreams and noticed a high amount of pain... yet lol. Hope it never happens tho!
Do you have any videos on dream control? I struggle to use powers or do cool things in my lucid dreams
@cestmoi914 yeah I do for sure but it's buried somewhere in the sea of my videos. I'll search around and see if I can find some. If I do I'll post em here
Rotating worked for me 100%. All went black, I went suddenly deaf, and a mental clone of my own home faded in and inner sound faded in. Woke up later like from any other dream.
@ct-hv1uz yep it's a good technique! I'm so used to entering the Phase through hypnagogic imagery i rarely end up being in a clone of my bedroom. I wish it would happen more often. I always think its so cool when it does. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏼
I had this dream when I was on a bus and I caught on fire and I smashed the window and it haved a lot of glass and I got inpaled in the glass and I was the worst pain I had ever felt Edit: also I am glad that I am not alone I thought I was the only one that could feel pain in my dreams
@fernandomagdaleno5776 damn catching on fire and feeling that pain in a dream sounds totally crazy! Haven't that experience myself yet. I have been cut and stabbed in dreams tho and that shit was plenty painful
It seems to me from what you're saying......is that you've not yet realized that the characters in your dreams are yourself. They are aspects of your own subconcious, and they're equally as real as your 1st person dream ID is. By telling them they are not real, that they're just NPCs......you are negating those aspects of your self that they represent. That's exactly why it's recommended that you not do this.
@Pair-O-Bulls yeah I agree that they're aspects of my subconscious. I typically don't do it in a negative sense tho which is why I think my dream characters typically don't care when I make statements like that. Plus I normally do it in a way where I want to share the experience with them and take them flying and stuff
I once summoned one of my emotions( Hatred) it looked just like me but with more of a serious face. He told me many things about the behaviour of other people and about who were good and who were bad. He was a whole different person, he said that i should always talk to him when I'm feeling low. After that for sometime i was used to get lucid dreams and visit the same place where we talked for hours. The lessons he taught me made me feel more disconnected towards others and always think that other people from this real world will or may at some point make me feel down. This went for a whole month of continuous lucid dreams at night . After that one night i told to my hatred that he is also a good person and he suddenly disappeared 😔 then i was left all alone in that dream city. After that incident i didn't get lucid dreams continuously. Now i actually want to talk to him more because he also helped me a lot in my life by guiding me through the stages . It was like every other day in my life was planned of what i would say if people asked me a question. I hope to see him again now whenever i get lucid dreams i try to summon my other emotions too and talk to them as a combined character.
@Clash_boy__ that's a cool idea! I wanna give that a try. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, i would like to try that techinque and it sounds like it'll work
@SerbianBall87 give it a shot! Lemme know how it works 🤙🏼
@@LucidExplorers Well i did get some awareness in my dreams but right now, i cannot control them but i am close, and considering i evenqke up and i am awake for about 13 minutes bc of my mom, i can co back to sleep
@@SerbianBall87 that sounds like great progress to me! Keep it up
About two years ago, i was on holiday, and me and my family got swarmed by a hive of wasps, and it was actually a very traumatic experience. I reckon I had close to 50 stings on me, majority of it on my back and arms. a week later, i had a dream where i was getting swarmed by wasps but it wasnt just 1, it was continous, i just kept getting stung over and over and it was like it was happening all over again. It felt like it was lasting forver but i eventually woke up, and although I was sweaty, nothing was different about me at all. No red marks on me, and i went back to sleep relatively easily. Nice to see i wasnt the only person impacted by it. Alsoo great video !
@GamerFreakery thanks for sharing!.. but damn sounds like a pretty dreadful dream and traumatic real life experience. When I was 12 or so my friend and I were throwing rocks at a huge beehive in this abandoned house and they eventually came after us. I didn't get stung too bad but my friend got a bunch stuck in his shirt. He was going crazy
You've inpired me to buy the book. Can't wait for it to arrive. Thank you so much for creating this content! It's been over a month since I've had a lucid dream, I'm getting worried.
yeah the book really surprised me! it is a great read and full of useful info. No worries about the whole month thing though, that ain't too bad yet. If I'm not paying much attention to my dreamwork practice I get them about once a month on average
I usually don’t have dreams and when I do they are in 3rd person I also have adhd. Is there any possibility for me to lucid dream or should I not even try? I’m using the WILD technique but so far no luck
ADHD shouldn't mess with it overall. I could see it maybe negatively affecting how long you stay lucid because you might get distracted by stuff though. One thing for sure though is I would stop prioritizing WILDs because they're so much harder to come by. A good place to start would probably be improving your dream recall though because you mostly likely are dreaming as much as everyone else. The 3rd person thing happens to me alot as well. I think it is from playing so many 3rd person video games my whole life lol
Will a nicotine pouch in the mouth work ?
I sent you another email just a minute ago.
Awesome! thanks for giving me a heads up I'll check it out
sorry for the slow reply man! I sent you a reply a little while ago
I seem to be kinda stuck into the initial phase of this (where I'm only seeing flashes of light). I somehow never make it to seeing hypnagogic images. Any advice?
One thing you could try is to focus on different sensations besides visuals. Like any physical sensations you can notice like vibrations or something. You could try doing phantom wiggling or rotation/leaning as well. I'll be covering both of those techniques and others in upcoming videos pretty soon.
So interesting! I’d like to know if these practices can help with mental health issues
Oh yeah for sure! There's been various studies done on it in the past but I haven't dug into them in years. One way I remember it worked though was through exposure therapy
oh and it can also work as a good motivator to help people prioritize getting more sleep
@@LucidExplorers ohhhh 😯 so exposure therapy as in the person goes into a dream state and reenacts the trauma there? And then imagines the situation going the way they would’ve liked it to?
@@justjuliajay yeah pretty much. You can also just have a straight up conversation with your subconscious interpretation of them and that can lead to some really eye opening revelations because you don't know what they're going to say or how they're going to react. On that note you can even have "conversations" with inanimate objects in the dream space as well. I'm not that knowledgeable about psychology but to me the dream space has an insane amount of potential for it. Like where else could you directly witness and interact with your subconscious. Lucid dreaming is amazing!
I took Galantamine once to have more lucid dreams. I must have had 500 dreams in one night. It felt like dreams on speed. Never touched it again lol.
haha yeah galantamine is nuts. I wish I could sleep better on it. It tends to keep me awake so I rarely use it. It is definitely powerful tho
Ayeeee you got the book.
First off, a few days ago I sent you a message via email. I'm not sure if you received it. My thoughts on astral projection and lucid dreaming may be right, wrong, or even controversial, but all of my thoughts are built from the foundation of the experiences that I've had during lucid dreams and astral projections. I have had my fair share of astral projection experiences and have been able to consciously induce and transition from a lucid dream into an astral projection. These experiences are profoundly impactful, and I deeply enjoy exploring and learning while on the astral plane. It allows me to visit places, observe events, and connect with loved ones in ways that are not possible in my waking life. , , I find myself on the fence about whether lucid dreaming and astral projection are one and the same, as they share many similarities. For instance, both experiences often involve challenges with total recall and the ability to manifest what you imagine. However, what leads me to believe that they are distinct experiences within separate planes of existence is the heightened level of awareness I experience during astral projection. While my awareness in lucid dreams is still very high, there is a dramatic difference between the two. , , When I am on the astral plane, the vividness of my surroundings is equivalent to how things appear in my waking life. In contrast, my lucid dreams, though vivid, have a peculiar VR ( virtual reality) and or AR augmented reality quality to them. Despite these differences, what truly matters to me is the ability to experience these states, explore these realities, and reflect on my consciousness. These experiences allow me to grow spiritually, develop as a person in the real world, and provide an outlet to alleviate some of my depression and pain when they occur. , , In essence, whether lucid dreaming and astral projection are the same or different, the value lies in the journey and the growth they bring to my life.*
Yup! It's awesome. Helped my son have more lucid dreams too!! Which is amazing
Wow! I love the idea of fasting with intent as a means to having a lucid dream later that night. You’re right that it also serves as the perfect time to reality check since fasting is uncomfortable (for me) which means food/how hungry I am is constantly on my mind as I’m doing it. I struggle with staying consistent with my reality check practice or doing enough in a day so I could definitely see this happening, and I also like the sacrifice idea of it too. I didn’t realize that fasting leads to more natural awakenings as well! Since I typically use those to WILD, that’s like double chances at a LD in one night! A DILD from doing a food-induced reality check 🤣 or if that doesn’t work hopefully I’ll get a FA and be able to try again
@@cestmoi914 have u tried putting a random alarm generator on your phone to do reality checks? That was SUPER helpful for me when building in the habit 👍🏻
That’s real nice of you, I might just drop you an email sometime. Still watching your channel, but still struggling with staying awake to lucid dream. Had a few visits in the phase but very brief.
keep it up brotha!
@@LucidExplorers staying awake 'cause I'm attempting the WILD method, since this is the only way I've been lucking enough to briefly OBE those few times - of course to Michael Raduga it's all the same.
@@rykialvis8087 Are you doing your WILD attempts when you're first falling asleep? Or are you going Michael Indirect/Differed Method? I was surprised after telling my son about it one night before bed it worked for him
@@LucidExplorers trying both, i know the issues with that, it's just sleep... always gets me. All kids should really learn this from a young age, i only heard about lucid dreaming less than 2 years ago and I'm 57 now. Will keep trying though, thanks for reaching out.
@@rykialvis8087 Thanks for this thread. I'm 64 and my lucidity/OBE success is low although I have slipped out a couple of times via WBTB. My results and duration are not where I want them to be so I really enjoy this youtube channel. Thank you both for this discussion.

@@ap1ml haha yeah I bet we have the same everywhere else!

Very cute boy! ❤ thank you for checking out my channel! You have amazing energy and this channel deserves so much more hype ✨ looking forward to seeing you succeed 💪🏻
Is there a video that discusses how you first got into lucid dreaming and that describes your first lucid dream?
shit lol yeah somewhere buried in the sea of my videos 😬I'll look around a bit and see if I can find one. If not I'm always looking for excuses to make videos so I could just make another! haha
You might also want to check out the very first book on lucid dreaming. Marquis d'Hervey de Saint-Denys wrote a book titled "Les Rêves et les Moyens de les Diriger" (Dreams and How to Guide Them), which was published in 1867. This book is notable for its early exploration of lucid dreaming, where Saint-Denys discusses his own experiences with becoming aware within dreams and provides techniques for influencing and controlling dream content. The first half of the book is very interesting and has many accounts of his own lucid dreams.
thanks for the recommendation! I remember hearing about Saint-Denys before but never read the book. I'll check it out
Robert Peterson has reviewed a LOT of astral projection books. He also reviewed Raduga's "The Phase." You can find his blog if you Google "The OBE Outlook on Life." The only thing I don't like aobut The Phase is that Raduga doesn't give credit to previous authors. Many of his ideas and techniques are borrowed from previous authors. Even the term "Phase" as it relates to out of body experiences, was popularized by Robert Monroe. Other than that, the book is packed with great techniques.
My favorite part of this video is that Hawaiian breeze!
yeah my curtain smacks me in the face all the time lol. I gotta tie it down a lot
I once asked a lucid dream character if he was real and he admitted he wasn’t
Haha finally someone else who has dream characters that respond like that. I think we're in the minority tho 😅
I think you found the emo kid💀
