Thanks Tony for taking your time and sharing that information with us is it a easy gun to use through for the first timer the clear gun people used to say it a hard gun to used mate and you have to get the fan spot on
Yes. The Series 2 is truly a straight out of the box experience. With the older version Series 1 (as stated in your reply and in the video) it had to be tweeked by the painter to try and acheive a sweet spot. The series 2 has been developed extensively to be set to full fan and full trigger. It is as simply as that. The spray gun will do the rest for you.

Hi Andrew, In this video, we talk about the out-of-the-box experience. In all of our videos we use the Series 2 fully open, No adjustment required.
Tony I was think about the series 2 my friend said there developed a fault said the chrome on the gun peels off when you come to clean it

Awesome Video. Do Love the Iwata Brand. I have several. Looking to get the WS400 Clear soon. My Question is. What is the proper way to clean right after spraying Clear? Do you have a video on it? Awesome product.
Great thanks for supporting the brand! We don't have a cleaning video (yet). We would recommend just doing your standard cleaning process.
However, Pay close attention to the air cap, atomisation holes, split nozzle and the needle. Use small brushes to make sure there is no residue left in the small hard-to-reach areas. We have maintenance kits for this purpose with a mixture of different size brushes these are what we use!

Seriously.. Just save some money and buy a gun with a thic round nozzle for the enhanced pre atomization and you're good to go. all the top tier guns has fat tips btw, you pay for the fan size.
Still I must say Iwata WS-400 series appearance is amazing - maybe if you don't trust your skills, having a good looking (and pricy) gun on your hands will make you more confident and impact your end results? hahahaha 😄

I've heard it's already in the country but waiting for EPA approval and another thing is the digital versions are having issues with the chrome plating coming apart

which spray gun would be better for single stage urethane or old fashion acrylic enamel
Your safe bet would be the WS-400, but you'll also be fine with one of our W-400 models. Just find what works for you!
you said everything except the ratios of basecoat and clear coat you have mixed paint is clear was 2:1 with hardener and 10% thinner?
All materials are mixed by scales.

So depending on the material you are using - For most clearcoats/lacquer we are almost always going to recommend Series 2 WS-400 Clear! Depending on your budget there will be a gun that fits your needs, we recommend discussing this with your local sales branch. Thanks

1st time i used the series 1 gun it was a water hose runs every where. Did you reduce wth activator ? by how much. Also my settings were ,Bottom wide open/fan wide open and 3.5 out from closed fort he fluid.29 psi
What nozzle/needle size did you use? And what system? We mix everything by scales in our videos and follow the TDS of the system we are using. We always use both fluid and fan wide open and 2.0 Bar on clearcoats. Thanks, Anest Iwata Refinish.
@@AnestIwataRefinish TY for the reply. Using the LS and WS Supernova Original guns. with a 1.3 . Tamco Paint systems.1st time with these guns compared to my Sata 5000 this has sharp edges and cannot seem to stop running the clear on the corners of the panels. Shop temp at 70 degrees F. Temp of products in the 60`s i suppose in NY. Does the clear need to be heated to 100 f ? I did close up the fan a touch seemed to help but tough to build confidence in this yet. The LS i tried both Base and clear and worked fine just took a little longer for the clear but did not run 75% ovlerlap. TY for the help cheers.
What is the difference between the iwata ws 400 SR2 clear and w400 wbx spray gun if you apply varnish? Thank you.
@stepanstepanovich5219 - the main differences will be the atomization characteristics and the size and shape of the fan patterns.
WS-400 will break up the particles slightly more Due to having a Split nozzle with four slots. Ws-400 will also have a slightly more compact fan pattern.
WBX is slightly different in you'll be getting atomization with three slots and the fan pattern is slightly larger. Obviously, material viscosity may change performance parameters!

Do you have pressure feed type or Not?

Anybody ever sprayed glasurit with one of these?

On my original ws400, i dropped it and it fell on the tip 😞 it still sprays very well, but those 1:19 things are creased in a bit on one side.
Should i replace the tip??
Without seeing how your WS-400 sprays, we can't answer that question. If there is a noticeable drop in performance then we would recommend replacing the nozzle.
